I’ve learned that a psychology counseling course would be offered to the senior stude nts. I’m quite in favour of this proposal, as the course will benefit them at least in three aspects.

To begin with, the course will get students to be aware that they might be suffering from psychological problems. Standing at a turning point of their life, senior students are no doubt under great pressure and some are even affected with depression without being noticed. If they’re given an access to the course, they themselves will tell if they are harassed by psychological problems.

Second, the course will give senior students some hints on how to deal with psychological problems. While some students will turn to teachers or parents for advice a lot more students prefer to keep these problems to themselves. In this case, the course will be of great help by providing them with psychological counseling.

Third, the course will help senior students improve their interpersonal skills. As they’re getting better in dealing with their own problems, they would offer or share their own experience in dealing with psychological problems.

With all the above said, I recommend the course be delivered every other week, starting from September.

How are you? I am eager to share with you my special experience this summer vacation. To fulfill my dream of being a volunteer at least once in my lifetime, I decided to work as a volunteer in the charitable summer camp in my neighbourhood. It turned out that I gained more than I gave in this voluntary job.

During the daytime, I taught those lovely kids in the camp how to play tennis and badminton which are my expertise. I was amazed by how quickly they learned. And their innocent smiles really touched and delighted me. In the evening, I was entrusted to communicate with their parents via Wechat. I responded to many different kinds of questions from those parents, some of which were really tricky. Nevertheless, I managed to convince them that their kids would be well looked after and have a great summer. Those questions also reminded me of my parents’ care and love for me when I was younger.

Short as it was, I’ve le arn many skills in the two months, such as leadership, the ability of communicating with elders. Moreover, I was found to have turned into a caring and considerate man from a self-centered boy. I do feel in my heart the duty to care for people in need.
