Having the largest royal park and being well preserved, it was designated, in 1960 by the State Council, as a Key Cultural Relics Protection Site of China.Containing examples of the ancient arts, it also has graceful landscapes and magnificent constructions. The Summer Palace is the archetypal Chinese garden, and is ranked amongst the most noted and classical gardens of the world. In 1998, it was listed as one of the World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.Constructed in the Jin Dynasty (1115-1234), during the succeeding reign of feudal emperors; it was extended continuously. By the time of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), it had become a luxurious royal garden providing royal families with rest and entertainment. Originally called 'Qingyi Garden' (Garden of Clear Ripples), it was know as one of the famous 'three hillsand five gardens' (Longevity Hill, Jade Spring Mountain, and Fragrant Hill; Garden of Clear Ripples, Garden of Everlasting Spring, Garden of Perfection and Brightness, Garden of Tranquility and Brightness, and Garden of Tranquility and Pleasure).Like most of the gardens of Beijing, it could not elude the rampages of the Anglo-French allied force and was destroyed by fire.In 1888, Empress Dowager Cixi embezzled navy funds to reconstruct it for her own benefit, changing its name to Summer Palace (Yiheyuan). She spent most of her later years there, dealing with state affairs and entertaining. In 1900, it suffered again, being ransacked by the Eight-Power Allied Force. After the success of the 1911 Revolution, it was opened to the public.Composed mainly of Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, The Summer Palace occupies an area of 294 hectares (726.5 acres), three quarters of which is water.Guided by nature, artists designed the gardens exquisitely so that visitors would see marvelous views and be amazed by perfect examples of refined craftwork using the finest materials.Centered on the T ower of Buddhist Incense (Foxiangge) the Summer Palace consists of over 3,000 structures including pavilions, towers, bridges, and corridors. The Summer Palace can be divided into four parts: the court area, front-hill area, front-lake area, and rear-hill and back-lake area.Front-Hill Area: this area is the most magnificent area in the Summer Palace with the most constructions. Its layout is quite distinctive because of the central axis from the yard of KunmingLake to the hilltop, on which important buildings are positioned including Gate of Dispelling Clouds, Hall of Dispelling Clouds, Hall of Moral Glory, Tower of Buddhist Incense, the Hall of the Sea of Wisdom, etc.Rear-Hill and Back-Lake Area: although the constructions are fewer here, it has a unique landscape, with dense green trees, and winding paths. Visitors can feel a rare tranquility, and elegance. This area includes scenic spots such as Kunming Lake and Back Lake , which presents a tranquil beauty, Garden of Harmonious Interest , built by imitating the layout of Southern China’s classical gardens, and Suzhou Market Street, endowed with a strong flavor of the water town Suzhou.Court Area: this is where Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu met officials, conducted state affairs and rested. Entering the East Palace Gate, visitors may see the main palace buildings: the Hall of Benevolence and Longevity served as the office of the Emperor, the Hall of Jade Ripples where Guangxu lived, the Hall of Joyful Longevity, Cixi's residence, the Garden of Virtue and Harmony where Cixi was entertained, Yiyun House , where once lived the Empress Longyu, and Long Gallery, which measures the longest in Chinese gardens.Front Lake Area: covering a larger part of the Summer Palace, opens up the vista of the lake. A breeze fluttering, waves gleam and willows kiss the ripples of the vast water. In this comfortable area there are the Eastern Bank and Western Bank, Seventeen-Arch Bridge, Nanhu Island, the largest island in Summer Palace, Bronze Ox, an imposing statue beside the lake, and Marble Boat, built in western style with elaborate decorations. On the western bank float six distinct bridges amongst whichthe Jade-Belt Bridge is the pretty!我去了北京英语作文篇6This summer holiday I have been to England and had a great time. 关于一次去北京旅行的英语作文,80词内全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Last summer vacation, my parents surprised me with a trip to Beijing! I had never been to China's capital before, and I was super excited. We took the high-speed train from Shanghai, and it only took about 5 hours to get there. That's way faster than driving! As soon as we arrived in Beijing, I could tell it was a really big, important city. There were tall buildings everywhere, and lots of people rushing around. Our hotel was nice and modern, with a huge TV in the room. The first thing I wanted to do was go exploring! The next day, we visited Tiananmen Square. It's this massive open plaza right in the center of Beijing. I had seen pictures, but it was even bigger in real life! We took lots of photos in front of the giant portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on the Tiananmen Gate. There were security guards everywhere making sure no one caused any trouble. After that, we went to the Forbidden City, which is this incredible palace where China's emperors used to live. It's called "forbidden" because regular people weren't allowed inside for a really long time. But now it's open as a museum and tourist site. We spent hours walking through all the different buildings, gardens, and courtyards. Everything was so ornate and beautifully decorated. I felt like a prince exploring my own palace! The next day, we did something really cool - we hiked along a section of the Great Wall of China! I had learned about the Great Wall in school, but finally seeing it in person wasmind-blowing. It's so massive and goes on forever across the mountains. We had to climb up and down a bunch of steep steps, but the views from the top were worth it. You could see the wall snaking through the trees and hills for miles and miles. Our guide told us about how the wall was built over hundreds of years to protect China from invaders. Amazing! After hiking, we were pretty tired, so the next day we took it easy and went to some parks and markets around Beijing. We visited the Temple of Heaven, which is this incredible temple complex with beautiful architecture and gardens. We also wandered through Wangfujing Street, which is this hugepedestrian shopping area with snack vendors, restaurants, and stores selling all kinds of stuff. I tried scorpion skewers, which actually weren't too bad!On our final day in Beijing, my parents took me to see the pandas at the Beijing Zoo. They are SO cute and fluffy! We watched them munch on bamboo and play around. I could have spent all day just watching the pandas. The zoo also had other cool animals like elephants, lions, and komodo dragons. But the pandas were definitely the stars of the show. After a fun-filled week in Beijing, it was time to head back home to Shanghai. I had such an incredible time exploring China's capital. From the historical sights like the Forbidden City and Great Wall, to the parks, markets, food, and pandas - Beijing was just awesome. I made so many amazing memories that I'll never forget. I already can't wait to go back someday!篇2My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Wow, let me tell you all about my incredible trip to Beijing last summer! It was the first time I had ever been to China's capital city, and I was super excited. My mom, dad, and little sister went too, and we had the best family adventure. The first thing I noticed when we got to Beijing was how big and crowded it was. There were people and cars everywhere! Our hotel was right in the center of the city, and from our room we could see tall skyscrapers stretching up into the sky. Everything felt so modern and busy compared to back home.On our first full day, we visited the famous Tiananmen Square. It's this huge open plaza in the heart of Beijing. I had learned about it in school, but seeing it in person wasmind-blowing. The square itself is massive, and there were tourists from all over the world there taking pictures. At one end is the Gate of Heavenly Peace with a giant portrait of Mao Zedong hanging above it. Our tour guide told us all about the important historical events that happened there. It was amazing to be walking in such an iconic place! The next day, we went to the Great Wall of China - definitely the highlight of the trip for me! We took a bus out to a quieter section called Mutianyu. As we walked up the path towards the wall, I could see it snaking across the mountain ridges in the distance. It looked so old and almost magical against the green hills. When we finally reached it, I was stunned by how enormous the wall actually is. The bricks and stone steps seemed to stretch on forever in both directions. Our guide said it took hundreds ofyears and millions of workers to build it all by hand. No wonder it's considered one of the great wonders of the world!Climbing up onto the Great Wall itself was a workout with all the steep steps, but it was totally worth it. The views from up there were breathtaking. You could see the valleys and mountains all around, with the wall winding over the peaks as far as the eye could see. Part of it was even disappearing into the misty clouds in the distance. I felt like I was in an ancient world hundreds of years ago when it was first built to protect China from invaders. Just being up on those old stones was such a powerful experience! After visiting the iconic historical sites, we got to explore some fun modern attractions too. One day we went to the Beijing Olympic Park, which is where the 2008 Summer Olympics were held. We saw the incredible Bird's Nest stadium up close and visited the olympic village areas. Everything was built on such a grand, massive scale - it really showed off China's amazing architecture and engineering. I would love to actually attend the Olympics there someday and see it all in action!Another part of Beijing I loved was all the delicious food. Chinese cuisine from different regions was available everywhere, and we tried so many tasty dishes. From crispy Peking duck tomouth-watering dumplings to fresh noodles in savory broth, it was all incredibly flavorful. We even got to watch an entertaining noodle dance performance where the chefs tossed and stretched the dough with impressive skills. And don't even get me started on all the yummy street foods we snacked on!On our final day in Beijing, we took an excursion out to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall again to hike a longer route. The scenery of the Great Wall winding through the lush green mountains was just stunning. Even though the endless staircases had my legs feeling like jelly, the peaceful quiet and crisp fresh air was so rejuvenating. I felt so small compared to this massive ancient structure, but also so grateful to be experiencing such a renowned world wonder right before my eyes.Beijing was jam-packed with incredible sights, from towering modern skyscrapers to ancient wonders like the Forbidden City and the Great Wall itself. I'll never forget the amazement I felt exploring destinations that were so different from my regular life back home. Getting to experience a new country and culture like that was an adventure I'll cherish forever. I'm already dreaming about my next trip abroad - maybe somewhere in Europe next time! Who knows what other awesome places I'll get to discover.篇3My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the most incredible trip to Beijing, the capital of China! My mom and dad took me there for the spring holiday and it was seriously the best vacation ever. The first thing I have to tell you about is the plane ride. It was my first time ever flying and I was a little nervous, but also really excited. The plane was huge! When we took off, my stomach did a flip-flop and I couldn't stop giggling. The flight attendants were so nice and gave me cookies and juice. I watched movies the whole way there too. Flying is awesome! When we landed in Beijing, I could hardly believe my eyes. The airport was massive, like a small city! We took a taxi to our hotel in the city center and I just stared out the window the whole ride. The streets were jam-packed with cars, bikes, and people. The buildings seemed to stretch up to the sky. Everything was so tall, busy, and loud compared to my little town back home. Our hotel room was on the 22nd floor and had an amazing view. We could see all across the city skyline. That first night, we went out for authentic Beijing duck at a famous restaurant. The crispy skin with sweet bean sauce was delicious! I tried usingchopsticks for the first time too. It was really tricky but I kept practicing. The next day, we went to Tiananmen Square, the huge plaza in the heart of Beijing. It's one of the biggest public squares in the world! We took a tour and I learned it's been the site of lots of important events in Chinese history over the centuries. Seeing it in person made me feel tiny. From there, we walked into the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace where China's emperors lived hundreds of years ago. It's absolutely ginormous, with something like 9,000 rooms! We spent hours wandering the different buildings, gardens, and corridors. My favorite part was the intricate wooden carvings and the bright yellow-glazed roof tiles. It felt like stepping into an ancient world. The next day, we went to the Great Wall. I couldn't wait because I'd learned all about it in school. We took a bus ride out to a less-crowded section called Mutianyu. As we got closer, I could see snippets of the massive stone wall snaking across the green mountainsides in the distance. It was breathtaking. Once we were up on the wall itself, the views stretched on forever in each direction. The wall really is incredible and immense in person. We hiked for a couple of hours, up and down the steep steps along the ridge. Parts of it were pretty crumbly and wild, which made me feel like an explorer from long ago. I loved clambering along the watchtowers and imagining the soldiers keeping look-out centuries before. What an unbelievable feat of engineering and construction! The Great Wall is definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever seen.We did so many other fun things in Beijing too. We explored the hutongs, the quaint old neighborhoodslined with courtyard homes and tiny alleys. We whizzed around on ubiquitous rented bicycles. We went to parks filled with locals practicing tai chi, dancing, playing games, and just hanging out. We saw amazing acrobats at one of the theaters. And we ate more delicious food than I can even name - noodles, dumplings, hot pot, BBQ skewers, candies, and on and on.Beijing is such a vibrant, bustling, historic city. Everywhere we looked, there were dazzling modern skyscrapers right beside ancient temples, narrow hutongs, and lively street markets. It's an incredible mix of the ancient and modern world, of East and West. I loved experiencing a culture so different from my own. The sights, sounds, and energy of the city were just electric.I have so many amazing memories from our trip to Beijing. My brain is still spinning from all the new people, places, and experiences I encountered. I took hundreds of photos and can't wait to make an album to remember it forever. Beijing is an extraordinary place and I already can't wait to go back someday! This was the journey of a lifetime.篇4My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Wow, let me tell you all about my amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! It was so awesome and fun. My family and I went there for summer vacation and we had the best time ever.First, we visited the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China used to live with their families and workers. It's called the Forbidden City because regular people weren't allowed to go inside back then. The palace is humongous - it has 9,999 rooms! Can you imagine having that many rooms in your house? I would get so lost trying to find the bathroom. We spent almost an entire day wandering around the different halls, temples, gardens and courtyards inside the Forbidden City. Everything was built with beautiful red andyellow colors. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden with the pretty lakes, bridges, trees and flowers. I felt like a little emperor or empress exploring my own palace! The next day, we went to the Great Wall of China. Let me tell you, it was not an easy hike! The wall goes up and down over huge mountains and hills. My legs were super sore after climbing up all those steep steps. But it was 100% worth it because the views were breathtaking. We could see the enormous wall snaking over the peaks for miles and miles. I felt so tiny compared to this gigantic wall built so long ago.Did you know people say you can even see the Great Wall from space? I'm not sure if that's really true or not. If any aliens are reading this, let me know if you've spotted it before! The Great Wall must look like a long grey dragon sleeping on the mountains from far away.In the evenings, we wandered around Wangfujing Street which was always packed with people and smelled delicious from all the street food stands. We tried every kind of tasty snack - sugar dragon's beard candy, tanghulu candied fruit, stinky tofu, jianbing crepes, and amazing dumplings galore! My belly was always stuffed but I couldn't stop eating. One night, we attended an incredible Chinese acrobat show that blew my mind. The performers were so bendy and strong, doing incredible flips and human pyramids effortlessly. At one point, a lady sprinted on a rope while pulling a heavy rickshaw with another acrobat inside! It was one of the coolest things I've ever seen.On our last day, we visited the adorable pandas at the Beijing Zoo. Those chunky bears were my favorite part of the whole trip! They lazed around chewing on bamboo and wrestling playfully with each other. I could have watched them all day. I tried making little panda noises by grunting and snorting at them, but the pandas just ignored my bad panda impressions.Beijing was absolutely incredible and I can't wait to go back again someday. From the epic historical sites to the delectable foods to the adorable pandas, every moment was fun and exciting. I give this trip a billion out of ten stars! I already miss Beijing so much.篇5My Trip to BeijingLast summer, my family went on a big trip to Beijing! We saw so many amazing things. The Forbidden City was huge withpretty gardens and buildings. At the Great Wall, I climbed up tons of steep steps. The jade sculptures at the museum were incredible. My favorite was the panda bears at the zoo - they were so cute and fuzzy! Beijing has great food too like dumplings and noodles. I had the best time exploring the city's history and culture. I can't wait to go back someday!篇6My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the coolest trip ever to Beijing, the capital of China! My mom, dad, and little sister went with me during our spring break. We had such an amazing time exploring the city and seeing all the incredible sights. Let me tell you all about it!We started our adventure by visiting the Forbidden City. This was the imperial palace for 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It's a massive complex with 9,999 rooms! Can you believe that? Our tour guide said only the emperor, his family, and servants could enter the Forbidden City back in the day. No ordinary people were allowed inside. We spent hours wandering through the different halls, gardens, and courtyards. Everything was decorated so beautifully with paintings, carvings, and pottery. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden with its pagodas and little bridges over the ponds. I felt like a princess exploring her castle! The next day, we went to see the famous Great Wall of China. Wow, it was even more incredible than I imagined! The Great Wall winds up and down across the mountains as far as the eye can see. Our guide told us it's over 13,000 miles long! That's really, really far. We hiked along a section of the wall, climbing up tons of steep steps. It was pretty tiring but so worth it for the amazing views. From up on the Great Wall, you can look out over the green hills and valleys stretching to the horizon. I felt like I was on top of the world! No wonder it's considered one of the great wonders of the world.Speaking of wonders, we also visited another - the gigantic Terracotta Warriors museum. These life-size warrior statues were buried underground for over 2,000 years until farmers rediscovered them in 1974. Each warrior has a different facial expression and details like hair and clothing. Apparently there are around 8,000 soldiers, horses, and chariots in the pits! It's mind-boggling that they were all created so long ago without modern tools. The Terracotta Warriors blew my mind.On our last day in Beijing, we explored some old neighborhoods called hutongs. These are areas with tiny alleys and courtyard houses from long ago. It was like stepping back in time! We took a rickshaw ride (that's a chariot pulled by a person) through the winding alleys. I could hardly believe people used to live in such small spaces. Our guide showed us inside one of the courtyard homes where a family had lived only 50 years ago. The kitchen, bedrooms, and living area were all contained in one little building with hardly any electricity or plumbing. I'm glad I live in a bigger, more modern house! Still, it was neat to imagine what life used to be like centuries ago in the hutongs.Throughout our trip, we also ate the most delicious food! My favorites were the dumplings, noodles, and Beijing's signature dish - Peking duck. It's duck meat wrapped up in a thin pancake with sauces and veggies. It doesn't sound that good, but believe me, it's amazing! We probably went a little overboard on snacking because there were just so many yummy things to try. I think we all gained a few pounds from eating our way through Beijing!I had such an unforgettable spring break experiencing the history, culture, and sights of China's capital. Beijing is a bustling, modern city but it also felt like traveling back through thousandsof years of traditions and stories. I'm so grateful my parents took us on this incredible adventure across the world. I'll never forget watching the flag-raising ceremony at Tiananmen Square, walking on the Great Wall, or seeing the Forbidden City lit up at night. Beijing is truly one of the most amazing places I've ever been. When I'm older, I'll definitely go back and explore even more of this fascinating city!。

We got to paddle the boat ourselves. I got pretty tired from rowing but it was an awesome experience.Of course, no trip to Beijing is complete without seeing the Great Wall of China! The Great Wall is a massive wall built a long, long time ago to protect China. We had to take a bus and then a rail car part of the way up the mountain it was built on. When we finally got there, I was amazed by how enormous it was! We climbed up and down the steep steps along the ridge. My legs were sore afterwards but it was worth it for the incredible views.Beijing is famous for its delicious food too. We had so many yummy dishes like dumplings, noodles, Peking duck, and hot pot. My absolute favorite was the jianbing, which is kind of like a crepe with an egg, crispy wontons, and sauce inside. It was the best breakfast ever!We also visited parks, temples, the beijing zoo to see the pandas, and went shopping at lively market streets. Beijing has so many fun things to do and see! I took hundreds of pictures and videos to remember the trip.My family and I had an awesome time in Beijing. It is such a vibrant city full of history, culture, and friendly people. I learnedso much about China just by exploring Beijing. I hope I can go back again someday and experience more of this amazing place! Traveling to Beijing was a trip I'll never forget.篇2My Trip to BeijingLast summer, my family and I went on a very exciting trip to Beijing, the capital of China! Beijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there. It was my first time visiting, and I had so much fun exploring all the amazing historical sites and trying delicious new foods. We started our trip by visiting the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of China used to live a long time ago. It's called the "Forbidden City" because regular people weren't allowed to go inside for many years. But now it's open for everyone to visit! The Forbidden City is massive - it has 9,999 rooms! We spent hours walking around the different buildings, gardens, and courtyards. My favorite part was the impressive throne room where the emperors would sit. The thrones were decorated with carvings of dragons and phoenixes.Next, we went to see the Great Wall of China. This is a enormous wall that was built a really long time ago to protectChina from invaders. Parts of the wall are over 2,000 years old! We hiked along a section of the wall snaking over the mountains. It was exhausting climbing up and down all the steep steps, but the views from the top were incredible. I felt so tiny compared to the massive stone wall stretching as far as I could see.One day, we explored the Summer Palace, which was a relaxing retreat for the royal families away from the Forbidden City. I loved wandering through the beautiful gardens with colorful flowers, trees, and marble bridges arching over the lakes. We also went on a boat ride across Kunming Lake and saw the incredible marble boat that was built for the emperors. The Summer Palace was the perfect place to get some fresh air and enjoy nature.Of course, no trip to Beijing would be complete without seeing the famous Tiananmen Square. This enormous plaza in the center of the city can fit over 1 million people! There was a constant stream of locals and tourists passing through to see the monuments and museums lining the square. We saw the National Museum of China, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, and the iconic portrait of Mao Zedong hanging on the Gate of Heavenly Peace. Tiananmen Square was always lively and crowded, with people flying kites, exercising, and hanging out.My favorite activity in Beijing was definitely the food! We ate so many delicious dishes like crispy Peking duck, savory dumplings, and flaming Mongolian hot pot. One of the most unique things I tried was the Peking roast chicken, which was served with the entire chicken along with all the crispy skin and sauces for dipping. For dessert, we had sweet soups with chewy rice balls, exotic fruits like dragon fruit, and egg tarts from the famous Qin Bao Ding bakery. I was amazed by all the new flavors!Overall, Beijing was an awesome place to visit as there was so much history, culture, and delicious food to experience. From walking on the Great Wall to touring the imperial palaces to filling up on dumplings, Beijing had something exciting around every corner. I'll definitely want to go back again someday and explore even more of this incredible city!篇3Sure, here's a simple English essay about traveling to Beijing, written from the perspective of an elementary school student. The length is approximately 2,000 words. My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Hi, my name is Jimmy, and I'm going to tell you all about my amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! I went there with my parents during our summer vacation, and it was the best trip ever!We took a plane to get to Beijing, and it was my first time flying! I was a little nervous at first, but it was so cool to see the clouds and the tiny houses and cars below us. The flight was really long, but I kept myself busy by reading my favorite comic books and playing games on my tablet. When we finally landed in Beijing, the first thing I noticed was how big and crowded the airport was. There were people everywhere! My mom and dad had to make sure I held their hands tightly so I wouldn't get lost in the crowd. After we got our luggage, we took a taxi to our hotel. The taxi driver didn't speak much English, but my dad knows a little bit of Chinese, so he could communicate with the driver. The ride to our hotel was crazy! There were so many cars on the road, and everyone was honking their horns and driving really fast. I was a little scared, but my mom said that's just how traffic is in big cities like Beijing. Our hotel was really nice and fancy. We had a huge room with two big beds, a TV, and even a little fridge! The best partwas the amazing view from our window. We could see tall skyscrapers, parks, and even a tiny part of the Great Wall in the distance! The first place we visited was Tiananmen Square. It's a huge open area in the center of Beijing, and it was packed with people! My dad said it's one of the largest public squares in the world. We took lots of pictures and walked around, but my favorite part was watching the soldiers marching and standing guard. They looked so serious and disciplined!Next, we went to the Forbidden City, which used to be the palace where the emperors of China lived a long time ago. It's called the "Forbidden City" because regular people weren't allowed to enter back then. The palace was absolutely massive, with tons of different buildings, gardens, and courtyards. We spent hours exploring and learning about the history from our tour guide. My favorite part was seeing the throne room where the emperor sat – it was so fancy and decorated with gold and jewels!Of course, we had to visit the Great Wall of China too! We took a bus to get there, and I was amazed at how huge and long the wall was. It snaked across the mountains as far as I could see! We climbed up a section of the wall, and let me tell you, it wasnot easy. The steps were super steep and uneven, and I got really tired and out of breath. But the view from the top was absolutely incredible! I felt like I was on top of the world. We also visited some other cool places in Beijing, like the Summer Palace (which used to be the emperor's summer retreat), the Temple of Heaven (a beautiful temple where emperors used to pray for good harvests), and the Beijing Zoo (where we saw pandas, elephants, and all kinds of other animals).Of course, no trip to China would be complete without trying the delicious food! We ate all sorts of yummy dishes like dumplings, noodles, fried rice, and Peking duck. My favorite was the sweet and sour pork – it was so tasty and a little bit spicy, just the way I like it!One night, we even went to see a Chinese acrobat show. The performers did all kinds of amazing stunts and tricks, like balancing on chairs, juggling multiple objects, and doing flips and contortions with their bodies. It was mind-blowing to watch! After a whole week of sightseeing and exploring, it was finally time to go home. I was really sad to leave Beijing, but I was also excited to tell all my friends about my incredible adventures in China.Overall, my trip to Beijing was the best vacation ever! I got to see and experience so many amazing things, from ancient historical sites to modern skyscrapers and bustling city life. I learned so much about Chinese culture, history, and traditions, and I even picked up a few Chinese words and phrases along the way.If you ever get the chance to visit Beijing, I highly recommend it! Just be prepared for lots of walking, crowds, and some crazy traffic. But trust me, it's all worth it for the incredible sights, sounds, and experiences you'll have in this amazing city.Well, that's all for now, folks! I hope you enjoyed my story about my trip to Beijing. Maybe one day, you'll get to visit too and have your own amazing adventures in China!篇4My Trip to BeijingHi everyone! I'm so excited to tell you all about my trip to Beijing last summer! My family and I went there for two whole weeks and it was the best vacation ever. Beijing is the capital city of China and it's really big and amazing. Let me tell you all about it!We started our trip by visiting the famous Tiananmen Square. It's a huge open space in the center of Beijing with lots of historic buildings around it. We took so many pictures in front of the giant portrait of Chairman Mao that hangs there. The square was so crowded with people! My little brother got lost for a few minutes and we were pretty scared, but we found him again quickly.Right next to Tiananmen Square is the Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of China lived long ago. It has almost 1,000 buildings inside and we spent a whole day walking around and exploring! My favorite part was the Imperial Garden - it was so beautiful and peaceful with little bridges, ponds and trees. We also saw the throne room where the emperor would sit. I can't imagine how fancy and luxurious it must have been for the emperor to live there.Another day, we went to the Great Wall of China! We took a bus way out into the mountains to get there. Climbing up the steep steps of the wall was really tiring, but the view from the top was incredible. The Great Wall just goes on and on across the mountains as far as you can see. It must have taken so much work to build something so massive! We had a lot of fun takinggoofy pictures pretending to be ancient Chinese soldiers guarding the wall.We visited so many amazing temples around Beijing too. The Summer Palace had the most gorgeous gardens and a huge lake. At the Temple of Heaven, we watched people doing tai chi and playing games. My favorite was the colorful Lama Temple - the statues of Buddha there were huge! Everywhere we went, the temples were decorated with beautiful carvings and paintings of dragons and other symbols.Of course, we had to try some delicious Beijing foods too! We had the yummiest dumplings, noodles, and Peking duck. My mom loved trying all the different kinds of teas. And we couldn't leave Beijing without eating some scorpions and silkworm larvae from the street vendors (they tasted kind of crunchy and gross)! We also went to watch an acrobat show one night and the performers did incredible flips and tricks.Beijing has such a mix of old and new sights. We'd walk through ancient neighborhoods with courtyard homes called hutongs one minute, then be surrounded by giant modern skyscrapers and shopping malls the next minute. It felt like traveling back in time and into the future all at once! China has such a deep history but it's also developing at lightning speed.I have so many amazing memories from our trip to Beijing. From climbing on the Great Wall to exploring palaces and temples to trying crazy new foods, every day was an adventure. Beijing is absolutely jam-packed with fascinating sights, foods, and experiences around every corner. I feel so lucky that my family got to travel there and learn about China's incredible culture and history firsthand. I already want to go back again someday! Beijing is an amazing, unforgettable place.篇5My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Last summer, my family and I went on the best trip ever to Beijing, the capital city of China. I was so excited because I had never been to Beijing before and I had heard so many cool things about it. We were going to see ancient palaces, gigantic squares, and even walk along a section of the Great Wall of China!I could hardly wait.We took a plane from our city and after a few hours we finally landed at the huge Beijing Capital International Airport. As soon as we stepped outside, I was struck by just how big everything seemed in Beijing. The roads were incredibly wide with multiple lanes of traffic zipping along in both directions. Theairport terminal building itself looked like a palace with its modern architecture and bright red color. "Wow!" I said out loud. Our first stop was Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing. This massive public square is one of the largest in the world and can hold over a million people! We walked across the vast open area, taking in the sight of the red-walled Forbidden City at the northern end, and the monuments and flag poles positioned around the square. I had never seen anything quite so big and open before – it was like a giant parade ground. Watching the soldiers goosestep across while carrying bright red flags was a memorable experience. The next day, we entered the Forbidden City itself. This incredible palace complex was the home of Chinese emperors and their families and advisors for nearly 500 years. I loved wandering through the many halls, temples, gardens and residences. Everything was decorated with bright reds, blues, greens and yellows, with intricate wooden carvings and ceramic tile work. I felt like I had travelled back in time to dynastic China. The most spectacular area was the inner palace quarters where the Emperor himself lived with his many wives and concubines. They certainly lived a life of luxury back then! After the Forbidden City, we took a bus out of Beijing to the famous Badaling section of the Great Wall of China. I had seen this incredible man-made wonder in books and television shows before, but nothing prepared me for the awesome reality of it. The Great Wall snaked along the rugged mountain ridges as far as my eye could see in both directions, up and down steep rocky slopes and ramparts. It was amazing that this massive engineering project was constructed so long ago, mainly by human labor. We spent hours walking and climbing along the wall, taking pictures of the sweeping vistas across the hills and valleys below. What an unforgettable experience!Back in downtown Beijing, we visited a couple of other famous sites like the serene beauty of the Temple of Heaven and the picturesque old neighborhoods of hutong alleys. But my personal favorite had to be trying all of the delicious and unique Chinese foods like roast Peking duck, dumplings, noodles, and exotic street snacks like candied fruit on a stick. My taste buds were dancing with new flavors every day. I also loved going to the bustling night markets and trying lots of different skewers and fried treats.Throughout our stay, we were constantly struck by how modern, crowded, and lively Beijing was. There were people, cars, and construction everywhere you looked as this booming metropolis of over 20 million people rapidly grows and develops. One evening, we went up to the viewing deck of a skyscraper for a panoramic view and were amazed at the sheer vastness of the city in every direction. Huge multi-lane highways criss-crossed between neighborhoods of Soviet-era apartment blocks butting up against new forests of gleaming office and residential towers. It was both fascinating and a little overwhelming at times. Our time in Beijing flew by incredibly quickly. Before I knew it, we were headed back to the airport, our bags stuffed with souvenirs and our bellies still full from our last delicious Peking duck dinner. As we took off and the city shrank away below us, I felt so grateful that I had been able to experience the wonders of Beijing first-hand at last. It is a place of contrasts – serene gardens nestled amid chaotic streets, ancient monuments sharing space with modern architecture, quiet hutong alleys overshadowed by glitzy skyscrapers. Beijing dazzled me with its history and culture as well as its ambition and drive into the future. I already cannot wait to go back again someday!篇6My Amazing Trip to Beijing!Hi, my name is Lily and I am 10 years old. Last summer, my family took a very exciting trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! Beijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there. It was very different from my small hometown. We flew on a big airplane to get to Beijing. I had never been on a plane before so I was a little nervous, but also really excited. The airplane was amazing! It flew so high up in the sky. I could see the whole city getting smaller and smaller as we took off. The flight attendants gave me yummy snacks and drinks on the plane too. When we arrived in Beijing, the first thing I noticed was how busy and crowded it was everywhere. There were so many people walking around the streets and cars driving by. The buildings were all so tall too, I had never seen skyscrapers that big before! Everything seemed gigantic compared to back home. Our hotel room had an incredible view overlooking the city. At night, all the skyscrapers were lit up and it looked just like the city never sleeps. I felt like I was in a big, bright fantasy world! Beijing is known for having some amazing historical sites too. We visited a few during our trip. The first one was the Forbidden City. It used to be the palace for the emperors of China to live in a long time ago. It's calledthe Forbidden City because nobodies except for the emperor and his family were allowed to go inside back then. But now it's open for everyone to visit and learn about China's history. The Forbidden City was so beautiful and grand! There were huge halls, courtyards, and gates all decorated with bright red walls, yellow glazed tiles, and intricate designs. My favorite part was walking through the various temples and throne rooms where the emperor would have lived and ruled from. I felt like a princess exploring a magical kingdom! Everything was just so regal and majestic.Another famous landmark we went to see was the Great Wall of China. It's an enormous ancient wall that winds across mountains and deserts in northern China. Portions of the Great Wall were first built over 2,000 years ago to help protect ancient Chinese states from invaders and enemies. It must have taken so much work and effort by millions of people to construct something that massive brick-by-brick!Climbing along the Great Wall was a bit tiring since there were a lot of steep steps, but the incredible views from the top were definitely worth it. The Wall just seemed to go on forever through the green mountains and landscapes in every direction. I felt so tiny compared to this immense man-made structure. Itwas amazing to walk along part of such an iconic piece of world history!Of course, we had to try lots of delicious Chinese food while we were in Beijing too. My favorite dishes were dumplings, noodles, and Peking duck. Dumplings are little bundles of dough filled with meat and vegetables. You use chopsticks to pick them up and dip them in soy sauce - so yummy! Noodles in Beijing are hand-pulled into long strands and mixed with flavorful sauces and toppings. And Peking duck is a famous roasted duck dish that had such a tasty crispy skin.Beijing had so many unique snacks and desserts that I had never tried before too. Some highlights were candied strawberries on a stick, adorable little egg tarts, andbunny-shaped breads filled with sweet bean paste. Everything was absolutely delectable! I definitely missed the amazing food after we returned home.Overall, my trip to Beijing was an unforgettable adventure. I got to experience a big, bustling city full of history, culture, and incredible sights. Exploring places like the Forbidden City and Great Wall made me feel like I had traveled back in time. And the fresh, tasty cuisine was out of this world!I feel so grateful that I had the chance to visit Beijing at sucha young age. It opened my eyes to how remarkable and diverse other parts of the world can be. I made so many wonderful memories that I'll cherish forever. Beijing is such a special place - I really hope I can go back again sometime soon!。

I felt so proud to be standing on such an important historical site.Next, we went to Tiananmen Square. It is the largest public square in the world. It was like being in a movie! One of my favorite places in Beijing was the Forbidden City. It used to be the palace for ancient Chinese emperors. Can you believe it? I walked through the grand gates and explored the beautiful halls and gardens. The architecture was amazing, with colorful roofs and intricate designs. I felt like a royal prince walking in the footsteps of history. We also visited the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors used to pray for good harvests. The temple was surrounded by a huge park with ancient trees and peaceful pathways. I saw people practicing Tai Chi and flying kites. It was so relaxing and peaceful. I even tried flying a kite myself, and it was so much fun!During my trip, I learned a lot about Chinese culture and history. I saw beautiful traditional costumes, listened to traditional music, and even tried writing Chinese characters. See you next time!Word Count: 314 words篇2My Trip to BeijingHi everyone! My name is Emma and I'm going to tell you all about my amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China. But first, let me show you how I wrote this essay using the really cool Meipian app on my mom's phone. After we got back from our family vacation, my teacher Mrs. Wilson asked everyone to write about where we went over the spring break holiday. She said we could write it on the computer or do it by hand, but my friend Timmy told me about this awesome app his older sister uses called Meipian. It lets you put together words, photos, videos, stickers and all kinds of fun stuff to make a digital essay. So I asked my mom if I could use Meipian and she helped me download it.The first thing I did was pick a fun background theme for my essay pages. Meipian has tons of choices like animals, outer space, under the sea and more. I decided to go with the Great Wall of China background since that was one of the best parts of our trip. Then I started writing the introduction page about why we went to Beijing. My dad's company has an office there, so we went to visit his work but also to see all the amazing sights as tourists. I used Meipian's text tool to type in my intro and tried out different text sizes and colors. I ended up going with a big red font because it looked really bright and vibrant. After the intro, I moved on to describing the hotel we stayed at - the Grand Hyatt Beijing. It was soooooo fancy! They had a huge swimming pool, tennis courts, and a bunch of nice restaurants. Meipian has a photo layout tool that lets you insert pictures, so I uploaded some of the hotel photos my dad took and dragged them into place on the new page. I made sure to use the best ones like the giant lobby area and the kids pool area. The third part of my essay was about one of the coolest things I've ever seen - the Forbidden City! This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China lived with their families and advisors. It's absolutely massive and has nearly 1000 buildings inside its walls. We spent an entire day wandering around and exploring. My favorite part was the Imperial Garden in the back part of the Forbidden City. There was a hill with beautiful trees and views across a lake with these cool bridges over the water.Meipian makes it super simple to record videos straight from your camera roll, so I added a short video clip of me climbing up the hill in the Imperial Garden.Next up was a section on seeing the famous Terracotta Warriors. These are thousands of life-size ceramic soldier statues that were buried over 2000 years ago to guard the tomb of China's first emperor. They were only discovered in the 1970s by some farmers digging in their fields! On the Meipian page about the Terracotta Warriors, I used their drawing tool to sketch a picture of one of the soldier statues. I'm not the best artist but the drawing tool makes it easy to erase mistakes or used the undo button. Then of course, I had to include a whole page on my favorite part - hiking along the Great Wall of China! This incredible wall winds for thousands of miles through the mountains in northern China. Part of it is pretty touristy and renovated, but we also got to go on a more adventurous hike along an original ancient part that was steeper with lots of crumbly stone steps. We had an excellent guide who taught us about the wall's history of defending against nomadic invaders over the centuries. For this page I used Meipian's layout tool to showcase some of the best photos my mom took of the views from walking on the GreatWall. I also inserted a realistic-looking Great Wall of China sticker that Meipian had to make the page look even cooler.Towards the end of the essay I included some bonus pages about other things we did, like visiting the Olympic Park from the 2008 Beijing Games, eating yummy dumplings and noodles, and seeing a Chinese acrobat show one evening. There are so manyamazing stickers and decorations on Meipian for food, sports, entertainment and more. I experimented with comic-style Word bubbles and background patterns too.For the very last page, I wrote a conclusion paragraph thanking my parents for taking us on such an incredible trip where we learned so much about China's culture and history. I used Meipian's handwriting tool to write a short message telling my mom and dad how much I loved the vacation. And that's it - my awesome essay all about our family adventure in Beijing, China! Meipian made it really easy and fun to create. I included all the highlights through a mix of writing, photos, videos, drawings and decorations. The best part was getting to relive the memories of each place we visited as I added the pages to my essay.I can't wait to show my essay to everyone at school. I'm sure once they see how cool Meipian is, all my friends will want to useit for their essays and projects too. Thanks for reading, and let me know if you guys have been to Beijing before or want to visit some day! Zàijiàn (bye in Chinese)!篇3My Amazing Trip to BeijingHi everyone! 我去了北京用英文写一篇作文80词全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1I Went to Beijing!I was so excited when my parents told me we were going to Beijing for summer vacation! Beijing is the capital of China and has so many amazing historical sites. The first place we visited was the Forbidden City. It used to be the imperial palace for emperors and their families during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The Forbidden City is huge, with 9,999 rooms! We saw the beautiful painted ceilings, intricate carvings, and learned about the daily lives of the emperors and empresses who lived there. My favorite part was walking through the Imperial Garden - the landscaping and architecture was breathtaking.Next, we went to Tiananmen Square. This is one of the biggest public squares in the world. There were so many people there! We took photos in front of the giant portrait of Mao Zedong that hangs on the Tiananmen Gate. My dad told meTiananmen Square has been the site of many important events in Chinese history. We also visited the Summer Palace, which used to be the holiday retreat for emperors and their families. The palace complex has beautiful gardens, pavilions, temples and the lovely Kunming Lake. We took a boat ride across the lake which was really fun. My little sister loved seeing all the colorful koi fish swimming in the water!Towards the end of our trip, we went to see a Chinese acrobat show. The performers did amazing flips, contortions, juggling acts and more. Their skills and flexibility blew me away - I could never do the things they did! The costumes and music made it such a vibrant and exciting show.Beijing had so much delicious food too. We ate at lots of different restaurants and tried all sorts of tasty noodle and dumpling dishes. My favorite was the crispy Peking duck we had one night - the meat was tender and the crispy skin was out of this world. The street food was also great - we snacked on lamb kebabs, candied strawberries on a stick, and my dad's favorite jianbing (a type of crepe). Our time in Beijing went by too fast. I took so many pictures and made wonderful memories with my family. I feel so lucky tohave experienced the rich history, culture, food and sights of this incredible city. I can't wait to go back to Beijing again someday!篇2I Went to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the most amazing trip to Beijing, the capital of China! It was my first time going, and I had such an incredible experience. Beijing is a huge city with over 21 million people living there. Can you imagine that many people in one place? It's mind-boggling!The trip started with a long flight from my hometown. I had never been on a plane for that many hours before. Luckily, I had my Nintendo Switch to keep me entertained with games during the flight. Once we landed in Beijing, the very first thing I noticed was how different everything looked and smelled. The airport was gigantic, and there were signs everywhere in Chinese characters that I couldn't read.We took a taxi from the airport to our hotel, and I just stared out the window in awe the whole ride. The roads were crazy busy with cars, buses, motorcycles, and people on bicycles all zooming around. The buildings were all different colors and shapes, with lots of shops and restaurants on the bottom floors. And there were people everywhere! It was nothing like the small town I'm from. Our first stop was Tiananmen Square, one of the biggest public squares in the world. It was so massive, with room for a million people! There were tons of Chinese flags and monuments commemorating important events in the country's history. Our tour guide told us all about the protests that happened there in 1989. It was sobering to learn about such a significant moment while standing in that very place. From there, we went to see the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace from the Ming and Qing dynasties. This place was absolutely mind-blowing! It's a whole city within a city with nearly a thousand buildings and almost 9,000 rooms. We probably only saw a tiny fraction of it. The architecture was gorgeous with all the red and yellow colors, the intricate carved designs, and the sloping roofs with ceramic animal figures perched on the corners. I felt like I had stepped back in time hundreds of years. One of the coolest parts was climbing up onto the inner city wall and walking along the top of it. From up there, you could see everything inside the palace grounds. Our guide said the wall used to have guards patrolling it all the time to protect theemperors. Could you imagine having that as your job, just walking around on a wall all day? No thanks!Another day, we took a bus out to the Great Wall of China. I had seen pictures before, but they didn't do it justice. The scale of it is just unbelievable! It stretched out as far as I could see in both directions, snaking across the mountains and valleys. Apparently, if you took all the sections of the Great Wall and put them in a straight line, it would be over 13,000 miles long. Whoa!We hiked along a really steep and crumbly section for a couple of hours, which was exhausting but so worth it for the amazing views. Some parts of the wall were totally rebuilt with smooth stones, while other parts were falling apart with broken stones and huge gaps. Our guide said those were the original sections from thousands of years ago. Just standing there on top of something so old and famous gave me chills. No trip to Beijing would be complete without trying authentic Chinese food! We ate so many delicious dumplings, noodle dishes, hot pots, and other tasty foods that I can't even remember the names of. My favorite was probably the Peking duck with those incredible thin pancake wraps and sweet bean sauce. Even the street food was out of this world - I chowed down on candied strawberries, sugary bunny-shaped crackers, and the most scrumptious meat skewers all from little street carts and shops. We crammed in so many other cool experiences too, like watching an amazing acrobat show, visiting massive temples and palaces, walking through artistic hutong neighborhoods, and bargaining for souvenirs at the Pearl Market. I bought tons of stuff to remind me of the trip - t-shirts, keychains, chopstick sets, figurines, art scrolls, and more.Beijing was such a fascinating mix of really old and really new. One minute we'd be surrounded by ancient temples and historic sites that have been around for centuries. Then we'd turn a corner and suddenly be in the middle of a modern shopping district with huge skyscrapers and bright neon signs as far as the eye could see. It was the perfect blend of tradition and progress.I have to say, one of the biggest culture shocks was the massive crowds everywhere we went. I've never seen so many people constantly surrounding me. Whether it was monuments, parks, restaurants, or just regular city streets, there were always tons of people. A tiny part of me felt a little panicked being engulfed in those huge masses of humanity. But for the most part, I thought it was really exciting and gave everywhere we went such an amazing energy. This trip made me appreciate how truly massive China is as a country with such a deep, rich history and so many different cultures packed into one place. Beijing alone篇3My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Wow, I just got back from the most amazing trip to Beijing, the capital city of China! My mom and dad surprised me with this vacation during our summer break from school. At first I wasn't super excited because I thought Beijing would be boring, but boy was I wrong! We flew on a big airplane for what felt like forever. The airplane had little TV screens where you could watch movies and play games which was pretty cool. I had the window seat so I could look out at the amazing clouds and landscapes down below as we traveled across the country. After hopping off the plane, we took a taxi to our hotel right in the heart of Beijing. Our hotel was so tall - it had to be at least 30 floors up! The lobby was huge with sparkly chandeliers and fancy furniture everywhere. Our room was on the 22nd floor and had an incredible view overlooking the city skyline. I could see theForbidden City, which is this massive ancient palace complex, from our window. I couldn't wait to go explore it up close! The next morning, we started our adventure at Tiananmen Square. It's this iconic public plaza that can fit like a million people! There were tons of local families taking photos and tour groups following their guides around. We took a bunch of goofy photos making funny poses and faces in the square. Apparently it's where the Chinese government makes big announcements and holds ceremonies too.Next up was the Forbidden City which was just across the road. This place used to be the home of Chinese emperors and their families and servants back in imperial times. It has almost 1000 buildings inside and huge walls surrounding it to keep out commoners like me! We had an English-speaking guide who told us super interesting stories as we wandered through the various temples, halls, and gardens. I felt like a king checking out all the fancy architecture and imperial treasures on display. My favorite part was walking across these cool marble bridges over the rivers and ponds. After the Forbidden City, we visited this mountain area called the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China! I had seen pictures before but actually being there was mind-blowing. TheGreat Wall snakes over the mountain ridges as far as the eye can see. It's so steep and tall - no wonder it was an impressive fortress back in the day! Our tour guide said the Great Wall is over 13,000 miles long in total which is just nuts. We only walked a little section but it was still a workout with all the stairs. The views from up there were breathtaking though. You could look out over the rolling green hills and valleys of the Chinese countryside. The next day we went to the Beijing Zoo to see the famous pandas! They are so round and fluffy and lazy. We watched them just lounging around, munching on bamboo shoots and tumbling around clumsily. The baby pandas were especially adorable as they played and wrestled with each other. We also saw some other cool animals like red-crowned cranes, golden monkeys, and my new favorite - the Chinese giant salamander! It's this massive bright orange salamander that looks like a flat monster from another planet. One of my favorite memories from the trip was trying out all the delicious Beijing street food. We had candied strawberry kebabs, jianbing which is like a crazy egg crepe burrito thing, and scorpion skewers which actually tasted like greasy potato chips! The restaurants in Beijing had huge lazy susan tables that spunaround so everyone could share all the dishes like dumplings, noodles, roasted duck, and more. Everything was so flavorful - much better than the Americanized Chinese takeout back at home.We did some other fun stuff too like seeing an amazing Chinese acrobat show, touring the Olympic venues from the 2008 Summer Games, and getting a panoramic view from atop the Pangu 7 Star Hotel which has this crazy dragon shape on the roof. I even learned a few words of Mandarin from our tour guide like "nihao" for hello and "xiexie" for thank you.Overall, Beijing was such a vibrant, cultural, and historic city filled with surprises around every corner. I made so many incredible memories that I'll never forget. My friends back home are going to be so jealous when I show them all my pictures and souvenirs from the trip! Beijing is an awesome place and I really hope I can go back again one day to experience more of what this amazing city has to offer.篇4My Awesome Trip to Beijing!Last summer, my parents took me on the most amazing trip ever – we went to Beijing, the capital of China! I was so lucky my parents took me there! We flew on an airplane to get to Beijing from where we live. I had never been on a plane before so I was a little nervous, but it was actually really fun! The plane flew way up high in the sky above the clouds. I could see the whole city getting smaller andsmaller as we took off. The flight attendants gave me yummy snacks and drinks too.Once we landed in Beijing, the first place we went was Tiananmen Square. It's this huge open square right in the center of the city. I had learned about it in school before but seeing it in person was crazy! The square is so massive, with that famous portrait of Chairman Mao hanging on one side. Thousands of people were walking around taking pictures. My dad said that's where big parades and ceremonies happen.Right next to Tiananmen Square is the incredible Forbidden City. This was the palace where the emperors of ancient China lived with their families and advisors. It has almost 1000 buildings inside and gorgeous decorated halls. We had to walk through a huge gate called the Meridian Gate to enter. Inside felt like being transported back in time hundreds of years! The buildings were made of wood and stone with amazingly carved designs. We saw the living quarters, throne rooms, gardens, and even got to climb up on the fortress walls. It was like something out of a movie!Another day we went to the Great Wall of China, which was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. We took a bus ride out to a quieter section away from the city. The wall winds up anddown across these huge mountains in the distance. You could see it snaking along the hilltops as far as the eye could see! We climbed up some super steep steps to walk on top of the wall itself. The views from up there were breathtaking. It was hard to imagine that this massive wall was built centuries ago by hand without modern machines. I felt so small compared to this incredible feat of engineering and construction that has stood the test of time.We visited so many other fascinating places in Beijing too, like the Summer Palace, Lama Temple, Confucius Temple, and Jingshan Park. Everywhere we went there were beautifully decorated historic buildings, artwork, gardens, and crowds of people. Beijing is such a vibrant, bustling city but with deep cultural roots.I had studied a bit about Beijing in school but nothing could have prepared me for experiencing it in person. Every day was filled with new sights, sounds, and flavors. Seeing places I had only read about in textbooks was surreal. Beijing is such an incredible, historic, and culturally rich city. I'll never forget the amazing memories I made on this trip! If you ever get the chance to visit Beijing, you absolutely have to go. Just be prepared towalk...A LOT! It's an exhausting but unbelievably rewarding experience.Well, that's all for my essay about my wonderful trip to Beijing. I hope you enjoyed reading about my adventures exploring China's capital. I feel so fortunate to have had the chance to travel there and immerse myself in such an amazing place. I can't wait to go back again someday! Until next time, xie xie (thank you) for reading!篇6My Trip to BeijingHi everyone! My name is Emily and I'm 10 years old. I just got back from the most amazing trip to Beijing, China with my family and I can't wait to tell you all about it!We flew on a big airplane for a really long time to get there. The flight felt like it took forever, but my mom and dad had packed lots of snacks and activities to keep me and my little brother entertained. I watched movies, colored in my coloring books, and even got to play games on the little TV screen attached to the seat in front of me. So cool! When we finally landed in Beijing, I was so excited to start exploring. Beijing is the capital city of China and it's absolutely huge! There were tall skyscrapers and busy streets everywhere we looked. Our hotel room had the most incredible view out over the city skyline all lit up at night. The first stop on our big Beijing adventure was the Great Wall of China. Oh my gosh, you guys - it was even bigger and more impressive than I imagined! We had to hike up a ton of steep steps, but it was so worth it to walk along the ancient stone pathway. The views out over the mountains and valleys were breathtaking. I felt like I was a brave warrior protecting China from invaders!Next up was the Forbidden City, which was the home of Chinese emperors and their households for hundreds of years. It's called the Forbidden City because regular people weren't allowed inside back in those days. But now it's open for everyone to visit and explore! The buildings and architecture were all so beautifully decorated with bright colors, intricate designs, and these cool animal statues on the roofs. My favorite was probably the throne room where the emperor would sit. So fancy! We also went to Tiananmen Square, which is one of the biggest public plazas in the world. There were tons of people outand about, flying kites, taking pictures, and just hanging out. We even got to see the Changing of the Guard ceremony where the soldiers march and swap shifts in their super serious uniforms. It was neat to watch!Between all the walking around and sight-seeing, we made sure to eat lots of yummy Chinese food like dumplings, noodles, and Peking duck. The meals there were so flavorful and different from what we eat at home - I especially loved using the chopsticks to eat my food! For dessert, we tried weird but delicious things like dragon's beard candy (it's actually just super thin sugar threads!) and egg tarts. Mmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it!Our time in Beijing went by way too fast. On our last day, we visited the Beijing Zoo to see the famous pandas. They were every bit as cute and cuddly-looking as I dreamed! I could have watched them lounging around and munching on bamboo all day long. We also got to see other cool animals like red pandas, elephant calves, and these tiny monkeys called goldensnub-nosed monkeys. The zoo was such a fun way to end our stay.I had the absolute best time exploring Beijing with my family! Going to China was a big adventure for me as a kid, but I learnedso much and made amazing memories that I'll never forget. I already can't wait to start planning my next big trip - maybe the Great Pyramids in Egypt are next on my bucket list!。
