However, I believe that every option has its advantages.From the one side, plaining in writing brings many benefits. Second of all, I think it is the best way to avoid an unpleasant conversation. Personally, I do not like to plain about anything especially, in person. First, this type of plaining provides an immediate feedback. So, if I have some plains about pany's products I will receive all information and explanation right away. However, sending a pany a letter and getting a feedback can take more then a month. Second, face-to-face conversation is often more effective. People talk to each other, see each other facial gestures and body movements, which can tell a lot about a person. In addition to these practical benefits, in the case if one can not receive creditable explanation from one representative he alwayscan require to talk to another person. For instance, my husband recently had some extra withdraws from his aount by his bank and he was not aware of it. So, he went to the bank and explained to the bank's representative the situation and they together found the solution and that money was given back to my husband's aount. I think, inthis case face-to-face conversation is the best way toplain and get feedback fast.In conclusion, I think that if I have to plain about a product or poor service I will do it in person. However, if face-to-face conversation is impossible I think I have nothing left but to send a letter or write an e-mail there.Is freedom of speech necessary in a free society?In the last decade, there has been considerable debate over the role of free speech in a free society. Some object to absolute freedom of speech. Others advocate free speech, arguing that the freedom of speech is the single most important political right of citizens in a civilized society. Whilst I believe that there are strong arguments on both sides, I would suggest that freedom of speech should be protected in all but extreme circumstances.The freedom of speech is important at all levels in a society. Yet it is most important for the governments. A government which does not know what the people feel and think is in a dangerous position. This is how the munistregimes of Eastern Europe were toppled in the 1980s. The same is happening again in other regions of the world today. The governments that muzzle free speech run a risk of pushing their people to behave destructively or to rebel.Furthermore, without free speech no political action is possible and no resistance to injustice and oppression is possible. Without free speech elections would have no meaning at all. Policies of contestants bee known to the public and bee responsive to public opinion only by virtueof free speech. Since the invention of social media,many people have been better able to connect with each other and also to keep up to date with the lives of their friends,families,co-workers and even celebrities,to such a degree which was previously impossible.
However,social media has its risks.As people of all ages have access to social media,children can be exposed to adult content,and are themselves vulnerable to be approached by strangers with unknown intentions.Even if children are sure of who they're talking to on social media,social media's issues are not completely eliminated.Cyber bullying is frequently reported in the news,and occurs on social media between children and schoolchildren.This is problematic,as it means even when children are at home,remote from their bullies they can still be bullied when they're inside their own homes.
Social media can be problematic for adults,too.People often feel comfortable posting things on social media that they wouldn't say in real life.This can indirectly cause a bad impression on other people,and if employers judge the nature of the content prospective employees post on social media to be inappropriate,it can affect their chances of attaining or keeping jobs.
As long as people are aware of the risks of using social media,and are careful to post only respectful and respectable content,then the advantages of social media far outweigh the disadvantages,and children and adults alike should be allowed to benefit from such technology.
