If you need to reattach the DIN-rail attachment plate, make sure the stiff metal spring is situated towards the top, as shown in the figures below.STEP 1:Insert the top of the DIN-Rail into the slot just below the stiff metal spring. STEP 2:The DIN-Rail attachment unit will snap into place as shown below.To remove the EDS from the DIN-Rail, simply reverse Steps 1 and 2 above.Wall Mounting (optional)For some applications, you will find it convenient to mount theSTEP 1: Remove thealuminum DIN-Railattachment plate from theEDS-205A/208A’s rearpanel, and then attach thewall mount plates as shownin the diagram at the right.⇒STEP 2:Mounting the EDS-205A/208A on the wall requires 4screws. Use the switch, with wall mount plates attached,as a guide to mark the correct locations of the 4 screws.The heads of the screws should be less than 6.0 mm indiameter, and the shafts should be less than 3.5 mm indiameter, as shown in the figure at the right.NOTE Before tightening the screws into the wall, make sure the screw head and shank size are suitable by inserting the screw into one ofthe keyhole-shaped apertures of the wall mounting plates.Do not screw the screws in completely—leave about 2 mm to allow room for sliding the wall mount panel between the wall and the screws.STEP 3:Once the screws are fixed on the wall, insert the four screw heads through the large parts of the keyhole-shaped apertures, and then slide theEDS-205A/208A downwards, as indicated. Tighten the four screws for added stability.⇒Wiring RequirementsYou should also pay attention to the following points:y Use separate paths to route wiring for power and devices. If power wiring and device wiring paths must cross, make sure the wires are perpendicular at the intersection point.NOTE: Do not run signal or communications wiring and power wiring in the same wire conduit. To avoid interference, wires with different signal characteristics should be routed separately.y You can use the type of signal transmitted through a wire to determine which wires should be kept separate. The rule of thumb is that wiring that shares similar electrical characteristics can be bundled together.y Keep input wiring and output wiring separated.y It is strongly advised that you label wiring to all devices in the system when necessary.Grounding the EtherDevice SwitchGrounding and wire routing help limit the effects of noise due toelectromagnetic interference (EMI). Run the ground connection from the ground screw to the grounding surface prior to connecting devices.Wiring the Redundant Power InputsThe top two contacts and the bottom two contacts of the 4-contact terminal block connector on the EDS’s top panel are used for the EDS’s two AC/DC inputs. Top and front views of one of the terminal block connectors are shown here.STEP 1: Insert the negative/positive AC/DC wires into the V-/V+ terminals.STEP 2: To keep the AC/DC wires from pulling loose, use a small flat-blade screwdriver to tighten the wire-clamp screws on the front of the terminal block connector.STEP 3: Insert the plastic terminal blockconnector prongs into the terminal block receptor, which is located on EDS’s top panel.Communication ConnectionsThe EDS-205A models have 4 or 5 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, and 1 or 0 (zero) 100 BaseFX multi/single-mode (SC/ST-type connector) fiber ports. The EDS-208A models have 6, 7 or 8 10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet ports, and 2, 1 or 0 (zero) 100 BaseFX multi/single-mode (SC/ST-type connector) fiber ports.10/100BaseT(X) Ethernet Port ConnectionThe 10/100BaseT(X) ports located on the EDS’s front panel are used to connect to Ethernet-enabled devices. Suppose you are connecting devices I and II; contrary to electrical signals, optical signals do not require a circuit in order to transmit data. Consequently, one of the optical lines is used to transmit data from device I to device II, and the other optical line is used transmit data from device II to device I, for full-duplex transmission.Remember to connect the Tx (transmit) port of device I to the Rx (receive) port of device II, and the Rx (receive) port of device I to the Tx (transmit) port of device II. If you make your own cable, we suggest labeling the two sides of the same line with the same letter (A-to-A and B-to-B, as shown below, or A1-to-A2 and B1-to-B2).SC-Port to SC-Port Cable WiringTxRxAABBCable WiringA A BBST-Port to ST-Port Cable WiringCable WiringA ABBRedundant Power InputsBoth power inputs can be connected simultaneously to live AC/DC power sources. Auto MDI/MDI-X ConnectionThe Auto MDI/MDI-X function allows users to connect the EDS’s10/100BaseTX ports to any kind of Ethernet device, without needing to pay attention to the type of Ethernet cable being used for the connection. This means that you can use either a straight-through cable or cross-over cable to connect the EDS to Ethernet devices.Dual Speed Functionality and SwitchingThe Moxa EtherDevice Switch’s 10/100 Mbps switched RJ45 port auto negotiates with the connected device for the fastest data transmission rate supported by both devices. All models of Moxa EtherDevice Switch areplug-and-play devices, so that software configuration is not required at installation, or during maintenance. The half/full duplex mode for the switched RJ45 ports is user dependent and changes (by auto-negotiation) to full or half duplex, depending on which transmission speed is supported by the attached device.Switching, Filtering, and ForwardingEach time a packet arrives at one of the switched ports, a decision is made to either filter or forward the packet. Packets with source and destination addresses belonging to the same port segment will be filtered, constraining those packets to one port, and relieving the rest of the network from the need to process them. A packet with destination address on another port segment will be forwarded to the appropriate port, and will not be sent to ports where it is not needed. Packets that are used in maintaining the operation of the network (such as the occasional multi-cast packet) are forwarded to all ports. The EDS operates in the store-and-forward switching mode, which eliminates bad packets and enables peak performance to be achieved when there is heavy traffic on the network.Switching and Address LearningThe EDS has an address table that can hold up to 1024 addresses, which makesit suitable for use with large networks. The address tables are self-learning, sothat as nodes are added or removed, or moved from one segment to another, the EDS automatically keeps up with new node locations. An address-agingalgorithm causes the least-used addresses to be deleted in favor of newer, more frequently used addresses. To reset the address buffer, power down the unit andthen power it back up.Auto-Negotiation and Speed SensingAll of the EDS’s RJ45 Ethernet ports independently support auto-negotiationfor speeds in the 10BaseT and 100BaseTX modes, with operation according tothe IEEE 802.3u standard. This means that some nodes could be operating at10 Mbps, while at the same time, other nodes are operating at 100 Mbps.Auto-negotiation takes place when an RJ45 cable connection is made, and theneach time a LINK is enabled. The EDS advertises its capability for using either10 Mbps or 100 Mbps transmission speeds, with the device at the other end ofthe cable expected to advertise in a similar manner. Depending on what type of device is connected, this will result in agreement to operate at a speed of either10 Mbps or 100 Mbps. Redundancy Protocol (通讯协议设置):设置选择为Turbo Ring ,而非是IEEE802协议(快速生成树)方式;采用Turbo Ring方式的情况下,需要在网络交换机组中设置一个Master(主站),选择主站的方式是将Set as Master前的小方框内给予选中, 只需要选择确定后,点击Activate按钮即可生效。

MOXA交换机使用说明1、IP地址的设置通过IE工具来Ping 交换机默认的IP(出厂默认192.168.127.253)地址,进入交换机配置界面后,直接点击确认后,进入交换机设置界面对话框,IP地址设置请选择\Main Meun\Basic Settings\Network,出现下列对话框在此对话框下,设置人员在Switch IP Address 和 Switch Subnet Mask 旁的空白处填写预定的IP地址(如:192.168.12.20),以及相应的子网掩码地址(如:255.255.255.0);其他的如Auto IP Configuration 设置为Disable方式,不要选择HDCP方式。

2、主站(Master)设置完成了IP方式的设置后,就需要对交换的通讯协议和交换机进行相应的设置,选择\Main Menu\Communication Redundancy(通讯冗余设置),进入对话框:在此对话框内,我们需要注意的是Settings标记下方的设置参量,而Current Status为相应的设置参量后交换机系统检测后的状态指示。

Redundancy Protocol (通讯协议设置):设置选择为Turbo Ring ,而非是IEEE802协议(快速生成树)方式;采用Turbo Ring方式的情况下,需要在网络交换机组中设置一个Master(主站),选择主站的方式是将Set as Master前的小方框内给予选中, 只需要选择确定后,点击Activate按钮即可生效。

(注意:在多个交换机组成网中只能有1个设置为Master,不可以多选;同时如果不对交换机进行Master设置,系统会自动设置交换机组中的1台为Master)。

Enable Ring Coupling (环间耦合端口定义)在实际的项目运用中不常运用到,在此不给予更多的描述。

需要提醒的是工程人员在设置过程中不要将Enable Ring Coupling 前的小方格选中,同时要注意的是对应的Coupling Port和 Coupling Control Port后的端口与前面的Redundant Ports 1st Port和 2nd Port(冗余连接端口定义)设置的端口重复。

以EDS-516A交换机为例,将交换机接上24V电源,在1-14 口中任选一口用RJ45网线连接到计算机网卡。 交换机的默认IP为192.168.127.253,将计算机的IP地址设 置为192.168.127.0,然后在浏览器中输入交换机的默认IP地 址192.168.127.253,回车就进入交换机的参数配置界面
默认用户名为admin,默认密码为空,然后点击login进入
进入参数配置主界面
导入参数配置文件步骤:选择Basic Setting / System File Update / Local Import /Export 进入配 置文件导入导出界面
在 Upload Configure Data 一行中选择 Browse ,找到预先备好的配置文件,然后点 击Import ,将配置文件上传到交换机中。
文件上传成功后,交换机自动断开连接。 假如交换机上传的IP地址为 192.168.0.248 ,将计算机的IP改为 192.168.0.1,在浏览器中输入 192.168.0.248 ,再次进入,查看IP等参 数是否正确,配置好的交换机密码一般为 空,或者是METSO的默认密码pw4net , 也可以在Basic Setting中修改密码。
在 Communication Redundancy 中,蓝圈标出的是定义交换机和交换机 之间通讯的接口,这里用的是16口(光纤)和1口(RJ45)。红圈标出 的是定义两个环网之间通讯的接口(MCS系统只有一个环网,所以未用)
交换机如果有配置参数改动,或者接口变动等,需 要将配置文件导出,以作备用。在 Upload Configure Data 计算机选定的位置

MOXA交换机配置:1、如何进入配置界面:Web、串口Console 、Telnet (1)2、交换机IP地址配置 (3)3、端口镜像配置 (4)4、环网配置 (5)5、Vlan配置 (6)6、三层配置 (7)7、交换机日志导出配置 (9)1、如何进入配置界面:Web、串口Console 、TelnetWeb配置直接通过浏览器输入交换机IP地址(需要主机与交换机IP在同一网段中)Telnet通过command串口,配置主机IP与交换机在同一网段,输入“Telnet 192.168.127.253(默认IP)”,如下图:串口Console配置通过串口参数:(115200,None,8,1,VT100)打开串口配置个选项对应功能2、交换机IP地址配置在“Basic setting”选项下,选中“Network”选项,如下图交换机名称配置:在“Basic setting”选项下,选中“Systerm”选项,如下图3、端口镜像配置点击“Disagnosi”选项,点击“Mirror”选项,如下图在“Monitored Port”选择被检测端口在“Mirror”选择用于抓包的端口4、环网配置“communication Redundancy”选项,在右边的下拉菜单中选择环网协议turboring或turboring v2,之后进入配置界面如下图,现已Turboring V2介绍。

备注:Turboring与Turboring V2这两个协议之间不兼容,请确定所有交换机的环网协议要相同一致,要么全是Turboring,要么全是Turboring V2环网中的交换机其中一台选择为master,把“set as master”选中即可,默认的环网端口都为交换机的最后两个端口,比如上去408交换机,环网端口为7和8,之后点Activate应用即可。

按照这个方法,把所有的交换机的环网设置都设置为Turboring V2,即可组环使用。

2.1 设置交换机双击计算机桌面上的“edscfgui”图标,进入软件设置交换机界面。

单击菜单“List Server”,在点击“Broadcast Search”,如图2。

图2计算机开始搜索网络上的交换机,搜索完成后弹出如图3的窗口,双击IP Adress为“192.168.127.253”的交换机,弹出如图4的窗口,单击IP Adress前的复选框,将IP Adress改成“192.168.127.20”。

点击“确定”,弹出如图5的窗口,点击“是”,保存并重新搜索网络交换机。

在“New Password”和“Retype Password”后的方框在填入“cari”(出厂配置),然后点击“Activate”,出现提示语“Password Setup OK!”。

3.1 准备
如果交换机是新产品没有做过配置的话,那么它的IP地址就是它的默认IP:192.168.127.253,这时要将PC的有线网卡设置成跟它同一网段,即192.168.128.xxx
• 3.2 配置交换机
3.2.1 交换机
将所有交换机级联并进行设置,请先不要将交换机连成环网。

连接电脑的有线网卡到交换机,并关闭电脑的无线网卡,运行edscfgui软件,并点击search.
• 3.2.2 登录交换机
点击edscfgui软件中的web登入
•或者直接在web浏览器中输入交换机的IP地址,用户名:admin,默认密码:空或者moxa
EDS-400系列默认密码为空
•EDS-500系列默认密码为moxa
• 3.3.3 设置Turbo Ring
•开启第一个环,并设置启用Turbo Ring 的两个端口,点击Activate启用•EDS-500E系列点击Redundancy Protocol,选择Turbo Ring v2模式
•开启第一个环,并设置启用Turbo Ring的两个端口,点击Apply启用
• 4. Turbo Ring 测试
将所有交换机按照所设置的端口连接成环网,电脑连接任一交换机的任一端口,打开cmd,ping其他交换机,能够ping通,则说明环网设置成功。

EDS-408A系列最新firmware版本支持Turbo Ring V2,相对于V1版 本,它的环网自愈时间由300ms升级为20ms。如选择V2版本,则支 持ring1和ring2两个环,请将环网内所有交换机都设置在ring1中。

请注意 Enable Ring Coupling环间耦合功能不启用,所以在前面 方框中不要勾选。 修改内容后记得点击Activate,激活页面上的设置内容。 (其他菜单页面修改后同样需要点击Activate才能激活)

修改本地电脑的IP地址,使其与交换机的当前IP在同一网段下 如192.168.0.32。这时才能通过IE浏览器访问交换机。

1. 第一次使用以上步骤,建议到每台交换机旁进行本地配置。
2. 配置前,先断开交换机的外部联网,使用一根普通网线连接交换机和PC的 RJ45口即可。
3. 环网内的交换机都配置好环网协议后,才能将光纤网连接成环形,之前只 能连接成总线型,不能形成网络回环。
4. 对于EDS-408A-MM-SC,其中2个光口用作环网连接,请注意在turbo ring配 置页面中查看端口号是否对应正确。
