Sonnet 18
William Shakespeare (page67) Shall I compare thee to a summer’ s day? Thou art more love ly and more tempe rate: Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May, And summer’s lease hath all too short a date: Sometime too hot the eye of the heaven shines And often is his gold complexion dimmed; And every fair from fair sometime declines, By chance or nature’s changing course untrimmed; But thy eternal summer shall not fade, Nor lose possession of that fair thou ow’st; Nor shall death brag thou wander’st in his shade, When in eternal lines to time thou grow’st: So long as a man can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives live to thee.

Hamlet
The most famous soliloquy is perhaps “to be or not to be” in Act III, Scene I, Hamlet.
❤Soliloquy -- Long speech expressing the thoughts of a character alone on stage. ❤Main Idea: This is an internal philosophical debate on the advantages and disadvantages of existence, and whether it is one's right to end his or her own life. It presents a most logical and powerful examination of the theme of the moral legitimacy of suicide in an unbearably painful world.
The introduction of Shakespeare
2) Whatever his circumstances, Shakespeare's father and other family members did not deter him at the early age of eighteen from the adventure of marriage. His wife Anne Hathaway must, therefore, have been about eight years older than Shakespeare.

The introduction of Shakespeare
1)The exact date of his birth is not known. Two 18th-century antiquaries gave it as April 23, but without quoting authority for their statements. In any case his birthday cannot have been later than April 23, since the inscription upon his monument is evidence that on April 23, 1616, he had already begun his fifty-third year.
