第十二讲写作之遣词造句及范文赏析

【考点说明】

“华约”及“卓越”联盟英语考试中的作文和翻译结合在一起，一般是给出一段话，要求考生先将这段话进行翻译，然后就这段话描述的现象或者观点，在30分钟内写出写成一篇120或150字的作文，发表自己对此的看法。写作除了要求学生立意有新意外，同时也注重考察学生运用语言进行表达的能力，因此学生需要掌握语言表达及优化语言表达的技巧，同时多从范文中积累优美的表达方式。

【题型特点分析】

经过了前两讲提到的审题及确定文章结构、掌握段落的写法之后，对原文的具体表达，包括遣词造句等的精雕细琢也是取得写作高分必不可少的环节。基本要求是：避免语言错误、运用高级词汇替代简单词汇，尽量选用大学四六级的词汇替代中学词汇；实现句型表达的多样化，避免单一化简单句式，可以使用祈使句、倒装句、从句、强调句等使文章表达更加生动。

【解题技巧】

1.避免语言错误

比较常见的语言错误包括：词性错误、拼写错误、选词错误、搭配错误、语法错误等。

1）考生作文中的词性错误非常常见，如：I have made the right choose. (应使用choice)这要求考生在学习词汇时一定要记住它们的词性。

2）选词错误与词汇的文体差异、内涵意义等有关。比如：house和residence都有“住处”的意思，但后者是拉丁词，是较为正式的用词。如我们说I have bought a house,一般不用residence。

3）搭配错误主要有三种：一是动词、名词和形容词后的介词搭配不当，如reason for，由于汉语是“…的原因”，中国学生很可能会用of。而是同一个汉语意思，但英语用不同的词，比如“原材料”（raw material），“原油”（crude oil），“原版”（original version）。第三种是不会某种表达而直接进行翻译，如把“方便面”

说成convenient noodle。因此，在平时学习过程中考生要注重这方面知识的积累，学习地道的表达，在使用时打不准的英语表达不要使用，尽量用别的表达代替。

4）语法错误多见于时态有误，主谓不一致，复数后缀缺失，句子没有谓语或一个简单句有多个谓语等方面，尤其在there be句型中，如：There are two reasons cause this problem. 其它的语法错误还有比较级用法错误、定语从句用法错误等。

其中，第2和3条是学生最主要出现错误的地方，同时也能体现出学生词汇辨析和固定搭配的能力。不同于词汇辨析题的是：学生写作时尽量挑选自己有把握的表达方式，同时日常学习中加强地道表达方式的积累。

2.如何遣词

1）词语变化。

词语变化是一篇高质量作文的重要标志之一。词汇的贫乏不仅影响了思想的表达，而且影响了文章的生动性。如果说写作的初级阶段只是要求语法结构没有错误、用词基本正确，那么写作的更高要去则不只是看作者能否表达思想，而是看作者能否表达得更生动、耐读、地道，在语言上表现得更成熟。比如，“吃”，如果通篇选用eat来表达，很容易让人乏味，但如果换一些表达方式，比如taste，consume，dine等，便会让人耳目一新。

2）使用高级词汇。

用词准确、得体是写作的前提，在此基础上使用一些高级词汇，既可以体现出作者的语言驾驭能力，又有助于获得高分。如：

那项工作很艰难。That is a difficult (demanding/challenging)job.

句中三个形容词均能准确地表达出该句的意义，但前者用词稍显平常，而括号中的词在表达上能让读者耳目一新。

3）巧用短语搭配。

写作时如果能够正确使用短语，有两个好处：一是使用短语会给文章增光添彩，自然会增加得分点。

二是考生在考场上有时过于紧张、思维短路，但还得凑够词数，那么用短语替代一个单词不失为好办法。比如：I am expecting a reply from you. 可以表达为：I am looking forward to a reply from you.

这样词数明显增加，而且表达也更加生动。

3.如何造句

1）善用长短句。

几句长短相同、结构相似的句子连在一起，必然会显得很单调。为多样化起见，短句和长句、简单句、并列句和复合句应交错使用。有时，长短句结合，可以给人抑扬顿挫之感。因此，建议考生们：在文章第一段开头用一长一短，且先长后短；在文章主体部分，要先用一个短句解释主要意思，然后在阐述要点的时候才用先短后长的句群形式，这样主体部分会更加令人赏心悦目。文章结尾部分则建议使用一长一短。

2）巧变句式表达。

句子表达力求灵活，相同、相近的句意可用不同的表达方式，以求异曲同工之效。

She walked out of the lab and many students followed her. (一般)

Followed by many students, she walked out of the lab. (高级)

If the weather permits, we will go climbing. (一般)

Weather permitting, we will go climbing. (高级)

常用的句式变化技巧有：

a)主动句变被动句

在主动句占大多数的情况下，使用一两个被动句能带来一点变化。而且有时被动句能使句子更地道、更客观。

People agree that American education is in deep trouble.

b)倒装句的运用

英语中的倒装句能够起到突出重点、加强语气的作用。写作时适当使用倒装句，能够使文章更加生动，增加文章的文采。

You can come to a sound conclusion only when you have obtained sufficient data.

c)强调句的运用

强调句能够使作者的观点更有力度地展现在读者面前。

He did not know what happened until he read the news in the newspaper.

d)巧用复杂句

英语写组的评分标准鼓励学生使用复杂句式，以体现考试较强的书面表达能力和语言驾驭能力。

考生应敢于挑战极限，努力写出一些结构复杂的高级句子。比如：

The weather being fine, a large number of people went to climb Mount Tai.

这种句子出现在文章中一定令人刮目相看，很自然地成了一个得分点。但切忌滥用，避免语言

晦涩，难以理解。

4. 范文赏析及高级词汇、短语及句型积累（注：老师可选择其中的2-3篇课上讲解，教会学生如何积累高级词汇短语和优美句型，其余的留作课后作业）

Interesting enough, this seemingly illicit phenomenon has become a culture that took China by storm in recent years, penetrating every aspect of our life from electronic products to TV programs and big stars.

Since it is such a controversial issue, it is important to put the rising culture of "shanzhai" under scrutiny. There are three major reasons for this phenomenon. To begin with, to establish a famous brand from scratch often means huge costs and potential failures in development. Imitating and copying the existing recommended products has become the most effective and cost-saving way to raise popularity. As a result, many small companies’ products with a nice appearance, multiple functions and an enticing low price can appeal to customers. Besides, the rising material and cultural demand of the majority also matters. As the saying goes, "Where there is a demand, there is a market." In my opinion, shanzhai culture is neither good nor bad at its heart. However, the rise of the culture should be carefully inspected. What the government should do now is to amend the legal loophole on the one hand, while calling for the combination of less imitation and more dependent innovation. In a word, we should maintain the essence of shanzhai culture and discard its dross.

Now after thirty years of rapid economic growth, the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen. This disparity between high-income and low-income groups constitutes a serious social inequality. Now there is widespread concern in China over the widening gap between the rich and the poor. The reason, I believe, lies in three aspects. First, it is an inevitable phenomenon in the process of reform. Some people have taken advantage of the economic reform and become millionaires, while there are some others who have been left behind for some reason or other, for example, the laid-offs in state-owned enterprises. It is widely recognized that confidence plays an important part in people’s life and activities. 【思路点拨】

题目要求写出自己选择清华大学的理由来说服父母，是一篇说理性质的议论文。可简要说明自己的观点，然后列举出清华大学的优势所在，最后得出结论：清华大学比本地大学好。短文可以安排三个段落：引出话题，说明清华大学的优势，最后总结出自己的观点并表明自己的决心。因为是一封书信，写作时应注意书信格式。

第一篇作文要求写一份书面通知。一般情况下，书面通知的首行中央应写上Notice或An Announcement 等。本篇作文题的题眼是：图书馆开放时间；图书馆的增添内容；如何续借。注意写作时的衔接与连贯。写作时，应该围绕图书馆的开放时间、增添图书内容及其续借方式展开写作。注意人称和时态的使用。注意通知发布单位的落款---常写在正文结束的右下角，也可以写在Notice的上方或前面，发布通知的日期一般写在正文的左下角（在落款的下一行）或写在通知正文的右上角（在Notice的下一行）。

第二篇作文属于文字拓展式开放作文，是开放作文的又一种考察形式。一般要求考生根据所提供的情景，拓展思路，写一段文字。本篇作文题的题眼是：Changed by…。所以，写作时重点是2008 Beijing Olympic Games所带来的变化。要清晰紧凑，没一个环节每一句话都要紧紧相扣，切不可东拉西扯，牛头不对马嘴。
