培养学生大声朗读英语的习惯

现在教学全部实行新课改,大量提倡把课堂45分钟还给学生,反对一言堂。英语课堂也一样。但是多数英语老师很困惑。在英语课上,大部分学生不愿意开口说英语,一说就脸红和结巴。要么过多考虑所表达的词句是否符合语法规则、要么发音不准、要么不会读单词、要么不自信,怕说错别人笑话等等。这些是比较典型的中国式的英语学习,太注重细节。并且羞怯心理阻碍了口语训练的顺利进行。但在这些学生中,有很多学生其实英语笔试成绩并不差。原因何在?1.平时读书不出声,在众人面前读和说的机会太少,心里素质太差。2.语言的储备量太小,根本没得可说,语言表达空洞,匮乏。对于任何语言而言,没有一定的输入就几乎不会有输出。因此语言教学的目标无法实现。尤其是在团场,课堂一言堂现象更严重。因此我们非常需要采取一些措施来改变此现状。

一、大声朗读英语的意义

1.朗读可以培养学生学习英语的兴趣。

兴趣是最好的老师。初学英语的人要想学好英语必须先动口模仿,朗读所学的句型,课文中的重要词语、句组、段落、名言名句、优秀的英文小诗和短文等,无疑是模仿的一种好方式。通过朗读可以训练正确的语音和语调,培养口头上运用语言的能力。有了这种能力,就为大胆地说英语奠定了基础。从一句到两句、从少到多地开口说,使学生产生了学会的信心而增强自信心,克服了羞怯心理。取得进步或受到表扬后,更加体会到了成功的喜悦。越学越想学,越学兴趣越浓。充而会更加努力地学习。2.大声朗读可以培养学生的语感。

因为通过朗读,刺激声带肌肉,可以逐步培养标准的语音、语调,这些肌肉我们称之为“国际肌肉”,这种感觉,我们称之为良好的语感。而我们中大部分人忽略了语言本身的核心——语感。因此,我们要做的是,先播放标准的外国人的纯正发音进行跟读,等自己的发音技巧、朗读水平提高以后,再逐步脱离原音,直接进行朗读练习。这时,可以选择一些学生自己喜欢的英语短文来朗读或

背诵,有了一定积累后,争取做到熟读成诵。这样良好的语感就建立起来了,当你在交流和表达的时候会发现脱口而出,并且出口成章,同时英语写作水平也会得到大幅度地提高。

3、朗读能够帮助学生丰富词汇量。

孤立的单词不容易记。而语句、文章是有情节的。词放在句子里,联系上下文更便于识记。学生经常朗读,接触到的生词、句式日益增多。这对学生灵活运用常用词以及短语十分有益。实践证明,英语表达能力强的学生都善于朗读,通过朗读来积累词汇。

4.朗读是提高学生口语交际能力的重要手段。

古话说:“舌根生智慧!”古往今来,多少中国的“大家、名家”都是从朗读开始一步、一步积累实力的。千万不要错过中学这个朗读的关键期!通过朗读,学生把书面文字还原成口语,把语言知识转化为使用技能,说写起来就可以运用自如。并且在反复的朗读中,学生会发现自己发音的错误而校正自己的发音、培养自己的语感。朗读期间也会更加注意语句之间的衔接,为讲一口流利的英语做铺垫。

5.朗读有助于提高学生的注意力。

做为英语教师,必须强调学生,朗读时一定要大声。因为当学生读书时,会特别害怕读错让别人听见,于是会很集中精力,这时的他们虽然只读了一遍,但是却相当于小声读了5遍以上。倘若他们稍微读快一些会让他们更集中精力。当然,也锻炼了听力。听说过李阳的疯狂英语了吧?李阳特别要求学习英语就要大声、快速、清晰地读.平时你应该有所发现的,小声默读与大声朗读效果不一样.大声读出来的东西记得清,而且纠正发音,吐字更清晰,比较有感情6.朗读可以增强记忆力。

因为最有效的记忆是“肌肉记忆”,朗读一次,肌肉锻练一次,记忆加深一次。并且学生大声朗读时为了避免出错,注意力很集中,只有注意力集中了,记东西才能记得牢。坚持数年朗读,英语功力无人能敌!

三.培养学生大声朗读英语的具体方法

1.充分利用早读,让学生大声朗读课文

2.有意地把朗读渗透到课堂中。期间给学生提供多种朗读方式,以激发学生朗读兴趣。

3.对不同层次的学生,朗读标准不一样。充而全面地培养了学生的大声朗读。

4.课堂上尽可能找些有趣的话题来调动学生的积极性,让学生乐于参与。

5.教师前一天布置话题任务,学生自主展开话题的形式,可以是对话,演讲,课本剧,采访,短文陈述等。要求人人必须参与。训练材料由简到难,真正地做到循序渐进。

6.每天布置朗读作业,第二天抽读。

7.经常听英语广播或录音带,并跟着朗读。选定一套相对比较适

合学生的教材,持之以恒。

四.长期坚持下去我们的学生可以达到以下目标:

不久我们的学生就能够大声地、准确地、流畅地、自信地读和说英语。并且通过朗读,掌握语音、语调、意群,从而形成语感,加深对文章内容的理解。使学生的视觉、听觉、触觉等同时并用。真正地养成读的好习惯。确定明确的目标,在愉快、和谐、充满自信的环境中学习,提高学生的口语交际能力,最终实现听说领先、读写跟上的教学目的。

综上所述,英语朗读教学是一项长期的工作,教师首先要提高认识,明确朗读的重要作用,在英语教学中认真地抓好朗读,充分地发挥朗读在英语教学中的作用。正确引导学生坚持朗读训练,并养成良好的朗读习惯,从而提高学生的英语朗读能力。
