On one hand,we need to use a lot of wood to make them. On the other hand, they pollute environment after we use them. What's worse, many oneoff chopsticks are not clean enough for people to use. They are bad for our health. But others think we should keep using oneoff chopsticks. Because it is very convenient to use them. Next,it is much cleaner and healthier to use them than the traditional chopsticks which can be used and washed again and again. And it is helpful to save some water because we don't need to wash them after using. In my opinion,I think we should use fewer oneoff chopsticks so that we can save more trees. And we should also use clean chopsticks to keep healthy.。

英语练习册九年级下册十三单元作文

英语练习册九年级下册十三单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Unit 13 - Going GreenHi everyone! My name is Timmy and I'm going to tell you all about Unit 13 in my big brother's English practice book. It's called "Going Green" and it's all about protecting the environment. I think this is a really important topic that even kids like me need to learn about!First up, the unit starts by explaining what "going green" actually means. It's all about making choices that are better for the planet. Like recycling your trash instead of just throwing it away. Or walking or riding your bike instead of getting driven everywhere in a car that puts out smoke and bad gases. Simple things like turning off lights when you leave a room and taking shorter showers can help too. Going green is a way of life! Then the book talks about why going green matters so much. It explains how humans have been hurting the environment in lots of ways without even realizing it. Like polluting the air and water with chemicals from factories. Or chopping down toomany trees in the rainforests. Or letting plastic and garbage pile up everywhere. All of this causes really bad problems like climate change, where the whole planet is getting warmer in a bad way. It's melting the ice at the North and South Poles and raising the sea levels which could flood lots of cities near the ocean! Crazy stuff. But the good news is that if we all go green and make some changes, we might still be able to fix these problems before it's too late. The unit gives examples of countries, cities, schools, businesses and families that are going green in different ways. Like using wind turbines and solar panels to make clean electricity instead of burning coal and oil. Or having a garden to grow some of your own food without trucks that go "honk honk" having to drive it across the whole country. Or making products out of recycled materials instead of new plastic. Small steps can make a big difference when everyone works together! My favorite part of the unit is all the suggestions for how kids can go green themselves. It says we should nag our parents to do things like recycle and use eco-friendly cleaning products around the house. We can also start a recycling program at school if there isn't one already. Or start a veggie garden in the backyard and learn about composting. Or walk, bike or take thebus instead of getting driven everywhere. There are tons of great ideas! The unit also talks about the future and warns that if we DON'T go green, the Earth could end up in really bad shape. With crazy weather like super hurricanes and tornadoes happening all the time. And millions of plant and animal species going extinct because their habitats are ruined. And cities under water because the polar ice caps melted too much. It's a pretty scary picture if you ask me!But if we DO make an effort to go green, it paints a much brighter and happier future. With clean air, clean water, nice weather, and lots of beautiful nature and healthy animals and people everywhere. A green world just sounds like a way better place to live in the years to come if you ask me.In the end, the unit reminds us that going green is something we all need to work on together. Every person in every family, every school, every business and every country on Earth. If we all do our part, no matter how small, we can gradually make a huge positive impact. It's all about developing good green habits while we're young so they stick with us as we get older. Like my teacher always says - we may be little, but we can do big things!Okay, that's all I've got to say about Unit 13 on Going Green. Pretty interesting stuff, right? I'll leave the heavy reading to my big brother, but I tried my best to explain it in a fun kid-friendly way. Now if you'll excuse me, I've gotta go do my part and take out the recycling bins. Thanks for reading, and remember - go green!篇2My English Workbook Is So Cool!Hiya guys! I'm here to tell you all about this awesome English workbook I've been using in my 9th grade class. It's called "Totally Rad English" and it's been helping me learn so much fun stuff. I was kind of worried English class would be boring, but this workbook makes it really exciting!Unit 13 is all about writing essays and stories, which is one of my favorite things to do. The unit starts off with some tips on how to come up with good ideas for stories. It says things like "look around you for inspiration" and "think about your biggest dreams or fears." Those are such good tips! I used to have so much trouble thinking of ideas, but those hints helped me a ton.Next it teaches you about all the different parts that go into a story, like the characters, setting, plot, and all that jazz. Itbreaks everything down in a really simple way that's easy to understand. My favorite part is the section on characters. It gives you all these questions to answer about your main characters to make them seem super realistic and interesting. Things like their personality traits, backstories, goals, and flaws. Coming up with detailed characters is so much fun!The next few lessons are all about structuring your story in a catchy way. It goes over concepts like rising action, climax, and resolution. It uses a bunch of examples from popular books and movies to illustrate the ideas, which really helps cement them in your brain. Ohh and it has this really neat graphic organizer to map out your entire plot step-by-step. Using that has helped my stories stay nice and organized. But enough about stories, let me tell you about the essay writing sections - those are so handy! It starts off reviewing the whole process, from brainstorming ideas to outlining to drafting to revising. Revision is majorly important but I always used to rush through it before. This workbook emphasizes taking your time and going through multiple drafts to really polish your work.My favorite essay lesson is the one on different modes of writing. It goes into so much detail about stuff like persuasive, expository, narrative, and descriptive essays. It uses super clear examples to show the distinctions between each mode. I used to get them all muddled, but this unit helped me understand when to use different approaches for different writing purposes.Another cool part is the section on incorporating research and evidence into your essays. It shares tips for finding credible sources, avoiding plagiarism, citing your sources, and weaving evidence smoothly into your writing. Doing real research used to seem so daunting, but this broke it down into straightforward steps. Now I feel way more confident working sources into my essays. And ohh I can't forget to mention the grammar review! The workbook has lists of the most commonly misused words, subject-verb agreement rules, punctuation pointers, and all that technical stuff. Having those Grammar Alerts every few pages is an awesome refresher. Sometimes grammatical things can get confusing, so I refer back to those lists a ton.Okay, I could honestly go on and on raving about this workbook forever. It's just so well-designed to make writing easy and fun to learn. All the examples, activities, and step-by-step guides are super helpful. And the whole book is put together in areally engaging way with graphics, cartoons, jokes, and games mixed in to keep you entertained.I used to kind of dread English class, but now I actually look forward to working through this workbook. It's helping me become a much stronger writer, and it makes the process way less intimidating. Writing doesn't seem as scary and mysterious anymore now that I have a resource that breaks everything down so clearly. So yeah, Unit 13 on essay and story writing has been an absolute blast to work through! I'm honestly kind of sad we're almost done with this unit because it's been so much fun. But I know the rest of the workbook has awesome stuff in store too. Things like public speaking, debates, analyzing literature - so many cool topics!I could go on and on, but I'll wrap it up now. If you're looking for an engaging, student-friendly way to improve your English skills, then I can't recommend "Totally Rad English" enough. I'm learning a ton while also having a blast. What more could you ask for from a workbook? Two thumbs up, 10 out of 10, A+ from me! That's all for my review, thanks for reading!篇3My Summer Vacation AdventuresYay, summer vacation is finally here! No more homework, no more waking up super early, and no more boring classes. Just three amazing months of freedom and fun. I can't wait to tell you all about the awesome stuff I got to do this summer! The very first week I was on break, my parents surprised me and said we were going on a big family trip to Hawaii! I was SO excited because I've always wanted to go there. We stayed at this really cool resort right on the beach in Maui. The hotel had these awesome waterslides and pools that me and my little brother spent hours playing in. We also went snorkeling for the first time and got to see so many tropical fish and coral up close. It was like being in a real life aquarium! My favorite day though was when we went on a boat tour around the island. We saw these huge green sea turtles swimming alongside the boat. The tour guide said they can live to be over 100 years old! We also got to see some mega cool waterfalls and do a little hiking through the jungle. I had no idea Hawaii had so much green and lush forests inland. And the best part was when we stopped at this secret beach cove and our guide grilled up a Hawaiian barbecue right there on the sand. The kalua pork and pineapple were so ono (that means delicious in Hawaiian)! After Hawaii, we headed back home to California for about a week. I was kind of sad the vacation was over, but my friends had planned this massive water balloon fight while I was gone. There must have been like 50 kids all battling it out on the street. I got completely drenched from head to toe but it was an absolute blast! Summer days are just made for epic water fights. Then it was finally time for my summer camp adventures! I went to this sick two-week overnight camp up in the mountains. They had a huge lake where we went kayaking, standup paddleboarding, and did blob launches all day. A blob is this giant inflatable thing where you run and jump off a platform and try to launch yourself as far out into the water as possible. It was both terrifying and thrilling at the same time!We also went on some awesome hikes to places like Rainbow Falls and did cool activities like archery, rock climbing, and horseback riding. Nighttime at camp was a vibe too. We had campfires and did talent shows and sang goofy camp songs. I made a ton of new friends and we all agreed that those two weeks flew by way too fast. After camp was over, it was essentially sleepover central at my house. My best friends Emily and Jayden seemingly moved in for weeks at a time. We stayed up late pretty much every night watching movies, baking crazy snacks, or just talking and laughing for hours on end about anything and everything. We'd wake up late, make breakfast for dinner, then laze around the pool or go to the park. Just those simple summer friendship days, you know? Then it was finally time for the last big event of the summer - MY BIRTHDAY! I turned 15 this year which was a pretty big deal. Instead of having a normal house party, my parents were awesome and let me have a beach bonfire bash. We rented out a fire pit area right on the sand and had Azure churning out jams as the DJ. It was going off! Emily, Jayden and my other buddies were there working it on the dance floor while others just chilled and made s'mores over the fire pit. Best birthday party ever without a doubt. And just like that...my summer vacation is basically over. Three months just evaporated into thin air like the morning fog. Part of me is ready to go back to school, get back into a routine, and be productive again. But another part of me wishes these carefree summer days could just last forever. No responsibilities,no schedule, just pure fun and freedom. Total mom and dad paid for bliss!Anyways, that's a quick recap of my summer adventures over the past few months. Between the Hawaii family trip, the epic water balloon war, two awesome weeks at camp, countless sleepovers, beach bonfires, and turning 15 - it was an unforgettable summer for sure. Full of new experiences, new friends, and tons of great memories. I tried to soak up and live every moment to the fullest this year. Because you just never know if your next summer will be anywhere near as rad!篇4English Practice Book Grade 9 - Unit 13 Writing ExerciseMy Awesome Summer Vacation!Hey friends! I'm so excited to tell you all about my crazy awesome summer vacation this year. It was the best summer ever! My family and I went on this epic road trip across the country and it was just sooo much fun.It all started when school let out in June. My parents surprised me and my little brother Billy by saying we were going to drive all the way from our home in New York to the GrandCanyon in Arizona! Billy and I were like "Whaaaat? That's so far!" But my parents said it would be an adventure. So we packed up our trusty minivan with snacks, games, and everything we'd need for camping. On the first day, we drove through Pennsylvania and Ohio. It was pretty boring just seeing lots of trees and roads at first. But then we stopped at this super cool diner with amazing milkshakes! That made the driving more fun.The next few days we drove through Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, and Kansas. We saw tons of cornfields and cows! It was kinda neat seeing a different landscape, but I was getting pretty tired of being stuck in the van. Good thing we had road trip games like I Spy and 20 Questions to keep us busy. Finally after what felt like forever, we made it to Colorado! The views were just breathtaking with those huge rocky mountains. We camped at an awesome spot and got to go hiking and see some wildlife up close. There were these massive elk just wandering around our campsite! It was so cool. From Colorado we drove through more pretty mountain scenery in Utah. We stopped at Arches National Park and I've never seen anything like those crazy red rock formations before. It felt like we were on Mars or something! At last, after a week and a half of driving, we finally arrived at the Grand Canyon! I couldn't believe how enormous and deep it was. We hiked a little ways into the canyon and the views were just mindblowing no matter where you looked. We stayed for a few days doing little hikes and just soaking it all in.On the way back home, we took a slightly different route through New Mexico and Texas. We got to see some pretty neat desert landscapes, including these white sand dunes that seemed to go on forever. We also stopped in Santa Fe which had a really unique Spanish kinda vibe with the architecture.I'll never forget that time in Texas when we were driving on a flat, empty road in the middle of nowhere and this massive tumbleweed bigger than a car just rolled right across the road in front of us! It was just like in the cartoons. We all laughed so hard. After driving through Oklahoma and crossing back into the Midwest, we finally made it back home to New York after almost a month on the road. I was happy to be back, but also kind of sad because I knew I'd miss all the adventures we had. This summer road trip was honestly the most epic thing I've ever experienced. I'll always remember all the crazy stuff we saw and did - the grand beauty of the national parks, sleeping underthe stars, seeing new landscapes, and just the fun of being on an adventure with my family for so long. We all grew a lot closer and made so many hilarious memories. If you ever get a chance to go on a long road trip like that with your family, you absolutely have to do it! It's tough being stuck in the car for so many hours, but the places you'll go and the memories you'll make are so worth it. This was a summer vacation I'll never forget!篇5My Summer VacationThis summer was the best summer ever! I had so much fun and did a ton of cool stuff. First off, my family went on an awesome road trip across the country. We loaded up the car, packed a bunch of snacks, and hit the road bright and early. Our first stop was the Grand Canyon in Arizona. I had seen pictures of it before, but wow - it's even more amazing in person! The huge canyon is just breathtaking to look at. We went on a short hike along the rim trail and took a million pictures. My legs were pretty sore after, but it was worth it for those incredible views. From there, we drove up to Utah to see some national parks there. We visited Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Arches. Each one was awesomer than the last! Zion had these massive red rock formations that towered all around. Bryce Canyon was full of crazy shaped red rock "hoodoos" which were so cool and unique. And Arches had, you guessed it, tons of huge arches made from solid rock! We got to hike through some of them which felt like being on another planet. After Utah, we headed to Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. This is where we finally got to see some epic geysers and hot springs up close. Old Faithful was just as awesome as I imagined, spouting steaming hot water like 100 feet into the air every hour or so. The colors of the hot springs were unreal too - bright blues, greens, oranges, and more. I've never seen anything like it.On our way back home, we swung through Mount Rushmore in South Dakota. Getting up close to the giant carved president heads was really impressive. We also stopped at Wall Drug, which is this massive random roadside tourist trap full of cheesy souvenirs and ice cream shops. My little brother loved it though! Finally, after almost 3 weeks on the road, we made it back home. I was pretty tired of being stuck in the car, but I have to admit it was an awesome trip. We got to see so many iconic natural wonders and have lots of little adventures along the way. I'll definitely never forget this summer vacation! But that's not all I did this summer. When I wasn't on our big road trip, I stayed pretty busy around home too. I hung out with my friends a bunch and we had our signature lemonade stand running almost every day. We'd spend hours making fresh lemonade and setting up our little stand, then try to lure people over with crazy marketing tactics. The best days we could make like 20 or 30 which felt like a fortune back then!I also took swimming lessons at the community pool and finally learned how to do a halfway decent butterfly stroke. My swimming instructor said I was a natural. I'm not sure if I totally believe her, but I'll take the compliment! Swimming was a nice way to beat the summer heat for sure.Towards the end of summer, my family took a short weekend trip down to Santa Cruz Beach on the California coast. I love going to the beach and playing in the waves. We built a massive sandcastle too, complete with towers, moats, bridges -the whole nine yards! Sadly it didn't last long before the tide came in, but it was fun while it lasted. On the last weekend before school started up again, my friends and I had our annual "end of summer bash" at Ryan's house. We grilled hot dogs, made s'mores over a firepit, and stayed up way later than our parents would've allowed watching movies. It was a nice way to dramatically bid farewell to summer together before the grind of homework and early mornings took over again. So yeah, this summer was one I'll never forget! I got to see incredible national parks all across the west, hang out at the pool and beach, run a lemonade stand business, and spend quality time with my friends before school started up again. Part of me wishes summer could last forever...but then I'd never get to go back and see my buddies at school again. I guess the cycle of summers and school years will just keep on rolling. But bring on next summer - I'm already dreaming up ways to make it even better!篇6My Summer Vacation AdventureHey there! It's me again, ready to tell you all about the crazy adventure I had this past summer vacation. You won't believe all the exciting and kinda scary stuff that happened! It was like something straight out of a movie or book.It all started when my parents surprised me and my little brother Timmy by saying we were going camping for a week in the mountains. At first I was like "Ugh, no way! Camping is so lame and there won't be any WiFi or video games." But then they told me all about the beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, and chances to see cool wildlife like deer, bears and eagles. That got me a little more interested. We drove for what felt like forever to get to the campsite way up in the Appalachian Mountains. The drive was pretty boring except when Timmy kept making those loud, obnoxious fart noises that made me want to strangle him. "Do you have to be so disgusting all the time?" I asked, but he just giggled. Typical little bro behavior. Finally after being stuck in the car for hourssss, we made it to the campsite. I have to admit, it actually looked awesome! Our tent was right next to this crystal clear stream and there were tons of tall trees all around. While my parents were busy trying to set up the tent, Timmy and I went exploring a little bit. That's when things started to get really crazy! We were walking along the stream looking for cool rocks when all of a sudden, I heard a loud growling noise. I froze. "Timmy...please tell me that was just your stomach..." I said shakily. But then THIS HUGE BLACK BEAR APPEARED RIGHT IN FRONT OF US We both screamed at the top of our lungs. The bear started coming towards us, standing up on its hind legs and growling loudly. I quickly pushed Timmy behind me to protect him, even though on the inside I was absolutely TERRIFIED. I'd never been that close to a bear before, only seeing them behind glass at the zoo. This bear looked hungry too, licking its giant slobbery lips and baring its razor sharp teeth."H-h-hey there Mr. Bear...n-n-nice bear..." I stammered, trying my best to stay calm and not provoke it more. But it just kept coming towards us! I didn't know what to do. I began looking around frantically for a stick to defend us, or anything really. All I could find was a fairly large rock, so I grabbed it just in case I had to throw it.That's when my parents came running over after hearing our screams, hiking poles in hand. "KIDS! GET BEHIND US!" my dad yelled, stepping in front of us to protect us from the bear. Thebear stood up even taller, getting ready to attack. It opened its mouth and let out this deafening roar that I'll never forget.I honestly thought that was going to be the end right then and there. I figured the bear would easily overpower all of us and have us for lunch. I hugged Timmy tightly, shutting my eyes and bracing for the attack...That's when I heard loud bang I opened one eye slowly to see the bear running away, my dad standing proudly with a small handgun in his hand. He had fired a warning shot into the air and scared it off!!"Is...is it gone?" I asked, still shaking. My parents quickly grabbed us and hustled us back to the tent. They explained how that was a mother bear and she was just protecting her cubs like any good mom, but we obviously had startled her when we got too close. After that terrifying encounter, I have to admit, the rest of the camping trip was a lot less exciting. But that was okay with me! We saw some deer from a safe distance, went on a cool hike to a waterfall, and made s'mores over the campfire at night before crawling into our tent, safe and sound.Even though being chased by a bear was absolutely terrifying in the moment, it also made for an amazing adventure and story to tell you guys. I'll never forget the time I cameface-to-face with a massive black bear on summer vacation! Although next time, I think I'll just stick to the beach...。

Title: Embracing the Unknown: My Journey Through Life's Unexpected TurnsLife, a canvas where each moment is a stroke of color, often presents unexpected turns and challenges. As I traverse the final stretch of my ninth-grade journey, the thirteenth unit of our English textbook, "Embracing Change," resonates deeply with me. It's not just about the linguistic nuances or literary techniques, but the profound message it conveys: the courage to embrace the unknown and navigate through life's twists and turns. In the unit, we are introduced to characters who face significant changes in their lives, whether it's a move to a new city, the loss of a loved one, or the realization of a long-held dream. These stories teach us that change, while often scary and unpredictable, can also be a source of growth and opportunity. My own life has been a series of such unexpected turns. Just a few months ago, I was certain of my future path, planning to pursue a career in the sciences. However, an encounter with a struggling student in my community sparked a newfound interest in education and the potential toinspire and empower others. This unexpected detour left me feeling both excited and apprehensive. At first, the idea of switching paths was daunting. I worried about what others would think, about whether I had the skills or passion for this new direction. But as I delved deeper into the world of education, I realized that fear was holding me back. It was time to embrace this change, to trust my instincts and pursue my newfound passion. The process of embracing this change has been challenging but rewarding. I've had to overcome doubts and insecurities, but I've also discovered a newfound sense of purpose and fulfillment. I've begun volunteering at a local school, assisting teachers and mentoring students. These experiences have not only confirmed my decision but also expanded my horizons, introducing me to a world of possibilities I had never considered before. Moreover, this journey has taught me the importance of resilience. When faced with uncertainty or difficulties,it's crucial to stay positive and keep moving forward. Change is inevitable, and it's up to us to decide how wewill respond to it. We can choose to let fear guide us, or we can choose to embrace the unknown and let it lead us to new adventures and growth.Looking ahead, I'm excited about the future that lies ahead. While I may not have all the answers or a clear roadmap, I know that with courage and a willingness to learn, I can navigate any turn life throws at me. The lessons from the thirteenth unit of our English textbook have given me the confidence to step into the unknown, to dream big, and to pursue my passions with all my heart.**拥抱未知:我走过人生意外转折的旅程**生活就像一幅画布,每一刻都是一笔色彩,常常呈现出意想不到的转折和挑战。

The Power of Perseverance: A Journey toSuccessIn the journey of life, perseverance stands as a beacon, guiding us through the storms and challenges that await. The important thing is to never give up, to always believe in our abilities, and to keep moving forward. Moreover, perseverance fosters a sense of accomplishment and pride. 九年级下英语13单元作文English:In today's digital age, the significance of reading books remains unparalleled despite the prevalence of digital media. Books provide a unique experience that cannot be replicated by screens. When we read books, we engage in a form of active learning that stimulates our imagination, critical thinking, and empathy. Unlike digital distractions, books offer undivided attention to a single narrative, allowing us to delve deep into the story and characters. Moreover, the act of turning physical pages creates a tangible connection with the content, enhancing our memory retention and comprehension. Furthermore, books offer a diverse range of perspectives and insights, enriching our understanding of the world and fostering empathy towards others. While digital media provides convenience and accessibility, it often leads to shallow consumption and shortened attention spans. In contrast, the slow and deliberate pace of reading books encourages patience and reflection, nurturing essential skills for personal and intellectual growth. Therefore, despite the allure of digital technology, the timeless value of reading books lies in its ability to inspire, educate, and enrich our lives.中文翻译:在当今数字化时代,尽管数字媒体普及,但阅读书籍的重要性仍然无可比拟。

人教版英语九年级第十三单元作文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite Unit in English ClassHi there! I'm an elementary school student and I wanted to tell you all about my favorite unit we've studied so far in English class this year. It's Unit 13 from the 9th grade English textbook. I know I'm not actually in 9th grade yet, but my English teacher is using some materials from that book with our class. Unit 13 is all about sports and games, and I just love it!First off, the unit starts by introducing some really cool vocabulary words related to sports. Words like "teammate", "opponent", "referee", "spectators" and more. I had heard some of those words before, but I didn't really know what they all meant until we learned them in this unit. My favorite new wor篇2My Wonderful School LifeHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 9-year-old student in primary school. Today, I want to share with you all about my wonderful school life. Get ready for an exciting journey!Every morning, I wake up bright and early, feeling excited to go to school. I quickly get dressed in my cute uniform, grab my backpack, and head out the door. The walk to school is always a fun adventure. I get to see all the neighbourhood dogs wagging their tails, and the squirrels scurrying up and down the trees. Sometimes, I even spot a butterfly or two! When I arrive at school, the first thing I do is greet my friends. We all gather in the playground and chat about our evenings and the fun games we played. It's always a lively start to the day! Then, the bell rings, and it's time for class. My favourite subject is English because I love learning new words and reading stories from around the world. Our English teacher, Mrs. Johnson, is the best! She makes learning so much fun with her jokes and interactive games.During our English lessons, we practise speaking, listening, reading, and writing. We learn about different cultures, customs, and traditions. It's fascinating to discover how people live in different parts of the world. Sometimes, we even get to try traditional foods from other countries! One of my most memorable English lessons was when we learned about Christmas. We made colourful paper chains, sang carols, and even had a mini Christmas party in class. Mrs. Johnson brought in delicious gingerbread cookies, and we all had a jolly good time.Aside from English, I also enjoy science class. We get to do all sorts of cool experiments! Just last week, we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly. We each got to take care of a tiny caterpillar and watched as it formed a chrysalis and eventually emerged as a beautiful butterfly. It was truly magical!During recess, my friends and I love to play on the swings and slides in the playground. We also like to have picnics on the grass and share our snacks with each other. Sometimes, we even have outdoor classes where we get to learn about nature and the environment. After school, I often stay back for extracurricular activities. On Mondays, I have art club where we get to paint, sculpt, and create all kinds of masterpieces. On Tuesdays, I have drama club, and we put on fun skits and plays. My favourite is the annual school play where we get to dress up in costumes and perform on stage for our parents and teachers. On Wednesdays, I have music club where we learn to sing, play instruments, and even compose our own songs. Last year, our music club wrote and performed a song about friendship, and it was just beautiful!Thursdays are reserved for sports club, where we play games like basketball, soccer, and badminton. I love being active and running around with my friends. It's a great way to stay fit and healthy.Fridays are always special because we have no extracurricular activities. Instead, my friends and I get to stay after school and play in the playground until our parents come to pick us up.One of my favourite things about school is the field trips we go on. Last year, we went to a farm and got to see all the animals up close. We even got to milk a cow! Another time, we visited a museum and learned all about ancient civilizations and their fascinating histories. At the end of each school day, I feel a sense of accomplishment and happiness. I've learned so many new things, made wonderful memories with my friends, and had the opportunity to explore my interests and talents.School is truly a magical place where we get to grow, learn, and discover the world around us. I'm so grateful to have such an amazing school experience and can't wait to see what adventures and lessons the future holds.Well, that's a glimpse into my wonderful school life. I hope you enjoyed reading about my daily adventures and all the fun activities we get to do. School is the best, and I wouldn't trade these memories for anything in the world!篇3My Thoughts on Unit 13Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 5th grader at Sunshine Elementary School. Our English teacher just had us go through Unit 13 in our textbooks and I wanted to share my thoughts on it.The unit was all about sports and exercise, which is one of my favorite topics. I love playing sports, especially basketball and soccer. The reading passages were really interesting - they talked about different sports around the world like cricket and curling. I didn't know much about those before. There was also a passage about the history of the Olympic Games which I foundfascinating. I can't wait until I'm old enough to try out for the Olympics someday! The dialogues we practiced were useful too. They covered things like making suggestions to exercise more, giving encouragement during sports, and discussing favorite athletes. My best friend Li Hua and I have been using those conversation patterns during our PE class and basketball practice. Knowing the right English phrases has helped us communicate better as teammates.I especially enjoyed the section on health benefits of exercise. The textbook explained how being active helps your body in so many ways - it keeps your heart and lungs strong, builds muscle, improves moods, and helps you sleep better at night. That really motivated me to make an effort to get off the couch and move around more instead of just playing video games all day. My parents were proud when I told them I wanted to start exercising regularly. The writing exercises were challenging but rewarding. We had to describe our favorite sports and athletes, which allowed me to showcase my knowledge of international soccer stars like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. We also wrote persuasive letters encouraging our friends to take up new physical activities.I tried to convince my buddy Xiao Zhang to join our school's ping pong team. Hopefully my English argument skills worked!Overall, Unit 13 was my favorite unit so far in our textbook. The subject matter was right up my alley, and I walked away with a lot of new English vocabulary and communication skills related to sports and exercise. It reminded me why I love athletics so much - the excitement, the teamwork, the health benefits, and most of all, the fun! Getting physical activity is crucial for growing kids like me.I'm proud that our national textbooks prioritize concepts like exercise, nutrition, and overall wellness for students. Studying this unit opened my eyes to the joys of staying active. My parents have even noticed a positive change in my energy levels and attitude. Now when I'm not studying or playing, you can usually find me shooting hoops, kicking a soccer ball around, or riding my bike outside. Take that, video games!I'm going to keep working hard on improving my English, especially the athletic terminology. Then I'll be fully prepared to one day become either a world-class athlete who gives interviews in perfect English...or a outstanding physical education teacher who inspires the next generation to fall in love with sports just like I did. Either way, thanks Unit 13!Those are my thoughts for now. Until next time, peace out and play on!篇4Title: My Unforgettable School TripHey there! My name is Li Ming, and I'm a ninth-grader at Zhonghua Middle School. I'm so excited to share with you about the most amazing school trip I've ever been on! It was a trip that will forever be etched in my memory, and I can't wait to tell you all about it.It all started a few months ago when our English teacher, Ms. Wang, announced that our class would be going on a week-long trip to the beautiful city of Guilin in Guangxi Province. We were all thrilled, of course, but little did we know just how incredible this adventure would turn out to be.The day finally arrived, and we set off early in the morning, our hearts filled with excitement and anticipation. The bus ride seemed to drag on forever, but we didn't mind – we were too busy chatting, playing games, and sharing snacks with our friends. When we finally arrived in Guilin, our jaws dropped at the breathtaking scenery that surrounded us. Towering limestone mountains, winding rivers, and lush greenery as far as the eye could see – it was like something straight out of a fairytale! Our first stop was the famous Reed Flute Cave, and let me tell you, it was unlike anything I've ever seen before. As we descended into the cave, we were greeted by a dazzling display of colorful lighting and incredible rock formations. It was like stepping into a magical underground world, with stalactites and stalagmites of all shapes and sizes surrounding us. I felt like a tiny explorer, venturing into the depths of the Earth. The next day, we embarked on a cruise along the Li River, and the views were simply stunning. The towering karst peaks seemed to stretch endlessly into the distance, their reflections shimmering in the calm waters below. I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and wonder at the beauty of nature. But our trip wasn't just about sightseeing – we also had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the local culture. We visited a traditional village where we learned about the daily lives of the Zhuang people, one of China's many ethnic minorities. We tried our hand at making bamboo baskets and even had a go at spinning cotton thread using ancient techniques. It was afascinating glimpse into a way of life that has endured for centuries.Another highlight was our visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill, a famous rock formation that resembles an elephant drinking from the river. We took countless photos, trying to capture the perfect angle and waiting patiently for the perfect shot. But perhaps the most memorable part of our trip was the evening we spent at the Impression Liu Sanjie show, a stunning outdoor performance that told the story of a local legend through music, dance, and breathtaking light displays. As we sat under the starry night sky, surrounded by the towering karst peaks and the gentle flow of the Li River, we were completely mesmerized by the beauty and artistry unfolding before our eyes.Throughout our time in Guilin, we not only had the chance to explore an incredible natural wonderland but also to bond with our classmates and teachers in a way that we never had before. Late-night chats in our hotel rooms, impromptusing-alongs on the bus, and shared laughter over silly mishaps –these are the memories that will stay with me forever. As our trip came to an end, and we boarded the bus for the journey back home, I couldn't help but feel a sense of sadnessmixed with gratitude. Sad that this incredible adventure was over, but grateful for the opportunity to experience something so magical and unforgettable.Looking back, this trip was more than just a chance to see amazing sights and experience new things – it was a chance to grow, to learn, and to create memories that will last a lifetime. I can't wait to see what other adventures await me in the future, but I know that this school trip to Guilin will always hold a special place in my heart.Well, that's my story! I hope you enjoyed reading about my unforgettable school trip as much as I enjoyed living it. Until next time, happy travels!篇5My Unforgettable Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year for kids like me. No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes! This summer was extra special because my family and I went on an amazing trip to the countryside. Let me tell you all about it!We left the busy city behind and drove for hours until we reached a small village surrounded by lush green hills and winding streams. The fresh air smelled so sweet, and the sky was such a brilliant blue that I had never seen before. I couldn't wait to explore this new wonderland! Our first stop was Grandpa's old farmhouse. It was a cozy little place with a thatched roof and a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers. Grandpa was so happy to see us. He gave me and my little brother big bear hugs as soon as we arrived. "My, how you've grown!" he exclaimed with a big smile on his wrinkled face. After settling in, we decided to go on a nature walk. The countryside was breathtakingly beautiful. Everywhere we looked, there were rolling meadows carpeted with wildflowers, babbling brooks, and towering trees that seemed to touch the clouds. We even spotted a few deer gracefully leaping through the tall grass! As we walked, Grandpa told us fascinating stories about his childhood on the farm. He showed us the old oak tree where he used to climb and read books for hours. He pointed out the pond where he caught his first fish. I could almost picture a young Grandpa running through these fields with his little friends, carefree and happy. That night, we had a delicious dinner made from fresh vegetables picked straight from Grandpa's garden. The corn was so sweet and juicy, and the tomatoes were bursting with flavor. Grandma's homemade bread was still warm from the oven, and the aroma filled the entire house. I had never tasted anything so delicious in my life! The next few days were filled with all sorts of fun adventures. We went fishing in the creek and caught a bunch of tiny fish that we carefully released back into the water. We hiked up to the top of a nearby hill and had a picnic lunch while enjoying the breathtaking view. We even tried milking Grandpa's old cow, Daisy, which was a lot harder than it looked! One of my favorite memories was stargazing with Grandpa. After the sun went down, we laid out a blanket in the backyard and looked up at the dazzling night sky. Grandpa pointed out all the different constellations and told us stories about the ancient myths behind them. I had never seen so many stars in the city, and they twinkled so brightly against the inky black canvas. As our vacation came to an end, I felt a little sad to be leaving this magical place. But I knew I would always treasure the special memories we made together as a family. The countryside had taught me to slow down and appreciate the simple beautyof nature. It had reminded me how wonderful it feels to disconnect from technology and just be present in the moment. On our long drive back to the city, I gazed out the window at the passing fields and forests. I made a promise to myself that I would never take the natural world for granted again. This summer vacation had been an unforgettable adventure, and I couldn't wait to go back to the countryside again someday.篇6My Journey Learning EnglishHi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm a 9th grade student here in China. I've been learning English in school since I was very little, and I have to say, it's been quite the adventure! In this essay, I'll share my experiences studying English and all the ups and downs along the way.It all started back in 1st grade when English was first introduced as a subject. I remember feeling so excited and curious about this new language. The alphabet looked like a secret code, and I couldn't wait to crack it. Our teacher started us off slow, teaching us simple words like "apple" and "cat." It was fun sounding out the strange new syllables. As I moved up through the grades, English got more challenging but also more interesting. We started learning basic grammar, like how to construct sentences and use verb tenses properly. I'll admit, keeping the rules straight was really hard at first! Why did we say "I am" but "he is"? It made my head spin.My parents were very supportive and got me extra English books and videos to practice with at home. I particularly loved reading simple story books and watching cartoons in English. It helped the vocabulary stick in my mind. Whenever I'd learn a new word, I'd try to use it as much as possible with my family until it became natural. One major turning point was in 4th grade when we really dug into reading and writing lengthier texts. Stringing together full paragraphs was tough, but also rewarding when I could express myself. Our teacher had us keep English diaries to practice writing about our daily lives. I enjoyed recording the little moments, like what I had for lunch or the games I played at recess.English opened up a whole new world of music, movies, books and more. I loved being able to understand songs and movies in the original language. It was like getting a peek behind the curtain at the authentic cultural references and idioms thatgot lost in translation. Reading Harry Potter in English was a major milestone! As I got older, English went from feeling like an academic obligation to a vital skill I'd need for the future. By middle school, I understood how important English proficiency would be for travel, higher education, and any sort of international career path. This motivated me to take my studies more seriously and make English a priority.Pronunciation proved to be my biggest challenge. With all the different vowel sounds and intonations, it felt impossible to speak English without a thick accent. Our textbooks provided some guidance, butreally nailing those subtle sounds took a ton of practice and repetition. Even now, I find myself having to really focus to enunciate clearly. My classmates and I used to giggle at each other's attempts to mimic English speakers.Another struggle was staying motivated when the content felt dry or irrelevant. Textbooks can inadvertently make English feel like a purely academic subject detached from real-life. Those were the times when I'd find creative outlets to apply my skills - whether writing stories, song lyrics, or even just joking around with friends in English. Keeping things fun and connected to my actual interests made a huge difference.Looking back, I realize how fortunate I've been to have such solid English education starting at a young age. Sure there were plenty of growing pains, but I emerged confident in my abilities as a student entered 9th grade. Now in my final years of compulsory education, I'mlaser-focused on preparing for the college entrance exams. English will be a crucial component, so I'm working hard to take my skills to the next level. From improving my technical writing abilities to expanding my vocabulary even further and sharpening my test-taking skills specifically. My current class is actually studying Unit 13, which covers topics like cultural attitudes, taboos, and body language across different societies. It's fascinating learning about perspectives beyond my own experiences here in China. Analyzing other viewpoints and looking at issues through a more global lens are such valuable skillsets that this English education provides. While academics will always be important, I'm also trying to use English in authentic ways outside the classroom. I recently started an English blog to write about my hobbies and interests in a casual format. I also joined the English Drama Club, which lets me practice conversation and public speaking in alower-pressure setting. In the years ahead, I hope to have chances to use my English for travel, meeting international people, and eventually pursuing a career path that allows me to put this skillset to use. Maybe I'll be a translator, English teacher, or work for a multinational company - I'm keeping an open mind! Wherever life takes me, I know having English fluency will open doors. This journey learning English has been challenging yet rewarding every step of the way. More than just an academic subject, it's provided me a bridge to connect with people and ideas from around the globe. While I may be miles away from English-speaking countries, having this language makes the world feel a little smaller and more accessible. If I could give one piece of advice to those also tackling English, it would be: Stay curious, practice often, and find ways to make it personally meaningful. Because when English stops feeling like a chore and instead becomes a gateway into different cultures, that's when the enjoyment and mastery will follow. It's been quite the adventure so far, and I can't wait to see where my English skills take me next!。

It is very important for us to start with a low-carbon lifestyle. But how can we live a low carbon life? Here are my ideas.Firstly, it is a very good idea for us to go to school on foot instead of by car. It is good for the environment and our health as well. Secondly, remember to turn off the lights, fans and computers when we leave the classrooms. Thirdly, it is important for us to turn off the tap when we finish using the water. We can reuse water, too. For example, we can reuse the water to water the flowers or trees. At last, try to use the cloth shopping bags instead of plastic bags when we go shopping. (In addition, it isimportant for us to use fewer fast food boxes or chopsticks so that we can reduce the white pollution.)I believe our life will become better and better if we can do these things.Lower carbon, happier life. Let's take action.。
