阅读理解：阅读在试卷中占的比重大。考试大纲要求考生应能“理解主旨要义；理解文中具体信息；根据上下文推断单词和短语含义；作出简单判断和推理；理解文章的基本结构以及理解作者的意图、观点和态度。”加之与去年相比，今年英语的《考试说明》将要求学生掌握的词汇量提升至3500词左右，更应该引起学生们的重视。这次考试文章的选材丰富新颖，既有结合热点新闻类的文章如第一篇，也有科学研究类的文章如第三、四篇，还有英语美文名篇如七选五阅读。在题型上，除了常规题型外，也有选图题，这也是一个新颖之处，即第30题，需将文章中第三段获得的信息进行综合整理分析才可得出答案。做整套阅读题时，还需同学能够细心作答，因为稍有马虎就会失分，比如说第四篇文章的第33题，如果不仔细阅读的话，极有可能选C，但文章说的是“seven seconds”而不是“seven minutes”。此外，对于七选五，有些同学失分也比较严重，做此类题时，一定要结合上下文，找出相呼应的关键词或关键句，比如第37题，关键句为“time flies never to be recalled”；比如第39题这一段，关键词为“disrespect”；
完形填空：完型比较侧重于考查学生对于文章整体脉络的把握和对细节的分析处理。这是一篇故事类的完型，难易适中，只要能读懂文章大意，做题基本没有太大问题。但是，在细节的处理上有两道题值得注意：43题和55题。43题C 选项为干扰项。门开了我们一般会说“the door opened”，很少说“somebody open ed”，这是不恰当的，应该接宾语即“somebody opened the door”。此外，这道题应与41题相呼应，有人敲门“knock on the door”然后有人应门“answer the door”。55题应注意分析句子结构。干扰项为B选项。学生会觉得按照故事的发展，在这里她应该是拒绝收这份钱，不应该要的，所以选了“refused”。但是，当你进一步审题，分析一下句子结构时你会发现“it was my university money”其实是55题所填动词的宾语从句。这样的话，填“refused”就不恰当了，填“realized”最合适。
