Target’s Ethics Policy
Target conducts business in an ethical manner. All Target Team Members undergo comprehensive training on the company’s ethical standards and are required to represent the company with the utmost integrity.We expect our business partners to share our ethical concerns and uphold our standards as outlined in our Standards of Vendor Engagement (SOVE). We hold all vendors, agents, manufacturers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and any hired third parties or consultants, accountable for abiding by these standards throughout our supply chain.
As a Target business partner you have access to Partners Online (POL) where detailed information on all Product Safety and Quality Assurance (PSQA) and Social Compliance (SC) processes and requirements is located. Training decks on the Learning Management System (LMS) accessible through POL further define these requirements, including the Target Sourcing Services (TSS) Supply Chain Ethics Training. If this training has not been provided to you, please contact your vendor or Target Sourcing Services (TSS).
Target does not allow ANY exchange of favors, money, or gifts with our team members. We seek business partners who aspire to the highest ethical standards in their business practices and their interactions with Target. Target expects vendors and their representatives (i.e. factories, agents, third party representatives, etc.) to understand and conduct all operations in accordance with our production polici es, standards, and ethical requirements. ANY attempt to circumvent Target’s requirements through bribery, modification, substitution, forgery, alteration, or withholding information will severely jeopardize any vendor’s or factory’s business relationship with Target.
Target Team Members are held to the same standards; strictly prohibited from engaging in solicitation of anything of value from business partners and other ethical violations—such behavior must be reported. If you encounter what you believe to be a potential violation of local laws/regulations, Target’s S OVE, or other unethical behavior, you may confidentially report your concerns by emailing Integrity@; or you may choose to anonymously call our USA-based Integrity Hotline at (001)-470-219-7116. All reported violations that include specific information will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
In addition, Target has a “Business Dealings with Former Team Members” policy. This policy prohibits our vendors/factories from employin g or utilizing anyone in a capacity to do Target work or to work on a Target account in any capacity on the vendors/factory’s behalf if that person was a Target team member within the past two years.
