中国环境持续改善的英语作文
Dear Jack,
I am very glad to receive your letter about the environment in China. It is true that our environment has improved a lot in recent years.
I live in a small country in the west China. The environment we used to live in ten years ago was terrible and it was hard to believe. Wherever you were, whatever you did, you could hardly escape from pollution. The sky looked grey; the rivers became black; the grass was covered with plastic bags. You easily got your hair and shoes dirty while walking along the streets, and the air smelt terrible.
Realizing the importance of environment preservation, we took a lot of measures. We write letters to our friends on ordinary paper instead of sending cards, because 4,000 cards amount to one tree, and trees are important to better our environment. Moreover, we can encourage the government to punish the act of pollution and so on.
Now, the sky is blue again, the rivers become clean, and the grass is always green, we are now live a healthier and happier life. I am pleased with the environment now and I believe it will become better and better.。
