Sincerely congratulates Beijing on its sucess in winning the bid to host the 2008 Olympic Games !China's time has come! Let's celebrate it!Let's remember the moment !Let's be prepared!Let's work hard!Let's speak good English! [NoPage] The Power of Blurting OutBlurt out is more than just the slogan or empty advice. It really dose have the power to give you a breakthrough in English. The following are two stories that show how blurt out has affected English learners of all ages. “Are you Kim?”I was in a book store in Hainan when a very small girl approached me with confidence and asked, “Are you Kim?” I barely had time to say “Yes”, before the girl recited the whole pledge in the first page of the first issue of blurt out. I was amazed to hear such a young girl speak such perfect English. The sentences in that verse are far more challenging than anything I have ever seen in a primary English book, but this little girl never hesitated. I couldn’t keep a smile from my face as I heard her clear little voice blurt out that “English is a piece of cake”. I told her she was wonderful and asked how old she was. She continued to blurt out in perfect English, “I’m eight years old and I love English and I love you!” I was so moved that I wanted to cry. Her mother was standing behind her proudly, but couldn’t speak English at all. This little girl ran away from me before I can even get her name or address, but I would always remember her just the same. If you get discouraged or think that blurting out sentences isn’t helping you, just think of this little girl. If she can do it, you can, too! [NoPageMy Pledge My Oath II 我的誓言II I can’t stand my poor English! I can’t stand my ten years of wasted time! I can’t stand being looked down upon! I can’t stand being laughed at! I want to improve my situation! I want to change my life! I want to be successful! I want to be international! I don’t want to let my parents down! I don’t ever want to let my country down! Most important, I don’t want to let myself down!I want to speak perfect English! I want to understand all kinds of accents! I want to write beautiful articles! I want to read thousands of books! I want to translate freely between Chinese and English.I want to be the master of the world’s two most important languages: Chinese and English. I must act at once! I must open my mouth to practice! I must surprise them with my excellent English!I must realize my dream!I must succeed!

中国人有一个有趣的现象是学了十来年英语连打招呼都没有过关,一见面还是: how are you ,fine ,thank you ,and you, Im fine too, thank you bye bye !!! 我说你那个外国人同志啊,你怎么不说and you 啊,你不说and you 我就没有办法向下说啊,你只有说and you 我才能说Im fine too!!
日本人讲的英语是最难听的,thank you very much!
然后那个外国人就说,get out of here,你可以离开了,下一个.

The problem may be small in one nation and great (数量极大的,巨大的) in another. But the production, sale and use of drugs seems to be growing. And every government must decide its own way to deal with (对付,处理) the situation.[2] A recent government report says 500,000 persons in the United States are dependent on (依赖,依靠) the illegal drug heroin (海洛因). Between 5,000,000 and 6,000,000 persons use cocaine (可卡因) once a month. About 20,000,000 use marijuana (大麻).[3] The report says the number of people who use heroin or cocaine has not increased. But it says more of those drugs are being used. In addition, there is a growing problem with such substances (物资) as P –C – P and amphetamines (普斯普剂).[4] People who do not use drugs cannot escape (逃避,避免,免受) the problem. Their taxes help pay the cost of law enforcement (执法) and trials (审判). In the United States today, one of every four cased (案件) in federal courts (联邦法庭) involves (涉及,包含,牵扯) illegal drugs. Non-users also are often the victims (受害者,牺牲品) of drug – related crimes (和毒品有关的犯罪). They may be robbed by a drug user who needs money to pay for his or her drugs. Companies may lose money if person cannot work because of a drug problem.[5] Experts say illegal drugs cost (使牺牲/丧失/花费/付出) the American economy $46,000,000,000 a year in law enforcement, crime, lost production (生产损失), and medical care (医疗保健).[6] People concerned (焦虑的,担心的,关切的) about the drug problem have offered different, sometimes conflicting (冲突的,矛盾的,不相容的,抵触的), ways to solve it. President Regan last week proposed (提议,建议) a new national effort to end illegal drug use. He listed six goals for the campaign. One is a drug – free (无毒品的) workplace. Another is drug –free schools.[7] President Regan said an important part of the program is to find those who use illegal drugs. He called for (要求) testing government employees responsible for law enforcement, national security (国家安全). Safety and public health He urged (鼓励,督促) private companies to test workers for drug use. The President told reporters that he and his cabinet (内阁) would agree to be tested themselves for drug use. Mr. Reagan said drug users discovered by the tests would be offered treatment (治疗) instead of being arrested or dismissed (免职,开除,解雇) from their jobs. The Movement to protect the Environment 环境保护运动[1] Environmental activists (活跃分子;积极分子) recently celebrated Earth Day 1986. It was a day marking (标志) the anniversary of the modern environmental movement. At the first Earth Day demonstration in 1970, a group of Americans promised to work to “preserve (保护;保持), protect and clean up (把。

A holiday will mark 210 years of independence. As in past years, July Fourth will be a day of traditional parades, speeches and firework shows. In addition some very special ceremonies will be held this year. The ceremonies will honor one of America's most famus sights: the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty stands on an island in New York harbor. It was a gift to the pople of the United States from the people of France. The purpose of the gift was to mark the alliance between American colonists and the French during America's war for independence. The Statue of Liberty was completed 100 years ago, just in time for the July Fourth holiday in 1886. During the years since then, the statue's metal parts became weak. A project was begun to repair it. Many people and companies gave money to the project. They did not want to see this symbol of America fall apart. Now, the repair work is done¡- just in time for this year's July Fourth holiday. In some ways, the Fourth of July celebration has remained much the same since Americans first began observing the day. Most Americans see it as huge birthday party - a party for the nation. But the parades, speeches and even the fireworks have a more serious purpose. They help citizens remember the events that led to American independence from Britain.Senior English for High school for China,Specially for Mr BitaoUnit 1 DisneylandLesson 1Carl has left San Francisco and is now working at Disneyland.
