Tremors were associated with repeated exposure of laboratory animals toBifenthrin technical. In lifetime feeding studies conducted with rodents a slight increase inthe incidence of urinary bladder tumors at the highest dose in male mice was considered tobe an equivocal response, not evidence of a clear compound-related effect. The overallabsence of genotoxicity has been demonstrated in mutagenicity tests with Bifenthrin.Chronic exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons may cause headaches, dizziness, loss ofsensations or feelings and liver and kidney damage. There is no sufficient evidence tosuggest that aromatic hydrocarbons are reproductive toxicants, mutagens or developmentaltoxicants. First-aid measuresInhalation Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method ifvictim inhaled the substance. Induce artificial respiration with the aid of a pocket mask equippedwith a one-way valve or other proper respiratory medical device. Get medical attentionimmediately.Skin contact Wash off with warm water and soap.Eye contact Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, ifpresent and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists. Ingestion Call a physician or poison control center immediately. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep head low so that stomach content doesn't get into the lungs. No need for first aid isanticipated if material is swallowed. Most importantsymptoms/effects, acute anddelayedAspiration may cause pulmonary edema and pneumonitis.Indication of immediate medical attention and special treatment needed Provide general supportive measures and treat symptomatically. Keep victim under observation. Symptoms may be delayed.General information Immediate medical attention is required. Ensure that medical personnel are aware of thematerial(s) involved, and take precautions to protect themselves. Show this safety data sheet tothe doctor in attendance.5. Fire-fighting measuresSuitable extinguishing media Alcohol resistant foam. Water fog. Dry chemical powder. Dry chemicals. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Unsuitable extinguishingmediaDo not use water jet as an extinguisher, as this will spread the fire.Specific hazards arising from the chemical Contents under pressure. Pressurized container may explode when exposed to heat or flame. Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.Special protective equipment and precautions for firefighters Firefighters must use standard protective equipment including flame retardant coat, helmet with face shield, gloves, rubber boots, and in enclosed spaces, SCBA.Fire-fighting equipment/instructions Firefighters must use standard protective equipment including flame retardant coat, helmet with face shield, gloves, rubber boots, and in enclosed spaces, SCBA. Move containers from fire area if you can do so without risk. Cool containers exposed to heat with water spray and remove container, if no risk is involved. Containers should be cooled with water to prevent vapor pressure build up. For massive fire in cargo area, use unmanned hose holder or monitor nozzles, if possible. If not, withdraw and let fire burn out.Specific methods Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials. Movecontainers from fire area if you can do so without risk. In the event of fire and/or explosion do notbreathe fumes.General fire hazards Extremely flammable aerosol.6. Accidental release measuresPersonal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures Keep unnecessary personnel away. Keep people away from and upwind of spill/leak. Keep out of low areas. Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Do not touch damaged containers or spilled material unless wearing appropriate protective clothing. Ventilate closed spaces before entering them. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained. For personal protection, see section 8 of the SDS.Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up Refer to attached safety data sheets and/or instructions for use. ELIMINATE all ignition sources (no smoking, flares, sparks or flames in immediate area). Keep combustibles (wood, paper, oil, etc.) away from spilled material. Many gases are heavier than air and will spread along ground and collect in low or confined areas (sewers, basements, tanks). Keep out of low areas. This material is classified as a water pollutant under the Clean Water Act and should be prevented from contaminating soil or from entering sewage and drainage systems which lead to waterways. Stop leak if you can do so without risk. Move the cylinder to a safe and open area if the leak is irreparable. Use water spray to reduce vapors or divert vapor cloud drift. Cover with plastic sheet to prevent spreading. Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Following product recovery, flush area with water.Small Spills: Wipe up with absorbent material (e.g. cloth, fleece). Clean surface thoroughly to remove residual contamination. For waste disposal, see section 13 of the SDS. This material and its container must be disposed of as hazardous waste.Environmental precautions Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground.7. Handling and storagePrecautions for safe handling Pressurized container: Do not pierce or burn, even after use. Do not use if spray button is missingor defective. Do not spray on a naked flame or any other incandescent material. Do not smokewhile using or until sprayed surface is thoroughly dry. Do not cut, weld, solder, drill, grind, orexpose containers to heat, flame, sparks, or other sources of ignition. All equipment used whenhandling the product must be grounded. Do not re-use empty containers. Avoid contact with eyes.Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Use only in well-ventilated areas. Wear appropriatepersonal protective equipment. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. Avoid release to theenvironment. Handle and open container with care. Observe good industrial hygiene practices.Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities Level 3 Aerosol.Store locked up. Pressurized container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50°C/122 °F. Do not puncture, incinerate or crush. Do not handle or store near an open flame, heat or other sources of ignition. This material can accumulate static charge which may cause spark and become an ignition source. Refrigeration recommended. Store away from incompatible materials (see Section 10 of the SDS). EATON® "4 THE BIRDS" ® is a transparent, sticky product that remains tacky at 15o F and will not run at temperatures up to 200o F after initial application has set.APPLICATION DIRECTIONS:Surface Preparation: Clean surfaces to be treated to promote adhesion of repellent. Wipe or scrape all dust, dirt, droppings, and other loose debris from surfaces. Seal porous surfaces prior to treatment by brushing on one coat of "EATON'S"® Porous Surface Sealant, shellac or a 50% solution of white glue, and allow to dry.Product Application:FOR INTERIOR USE: Beams, girders, struts, supports, and other places where birds can sit and roost.1. Prior to application, cover machinery, floors, and other important items and surfaces to prevent "4 THE BIRDS"® TRANSPARENT BIRD REPELLENT LIQUID from falling on them.2. Do not dilute "4 THE BIRDS"® Bird Repellent Liquid with water or other solvents. Use as is.3. Spray to the point of runoff. Spray in such a way that the top surfaces of beams, girders, etc. are coated. This would necessitate the operator to be level with or above the surfaces during application. Apply with any hand or pressure spray gun which has a discharge pressure of more than 40 and less than 150 p.s.i.4. Apply product using a paint brush to surfaces that are difficult to cover by spraying.FOR EXTERIOR USE: Trees, bushes and vines. (Do not apply to the exterior of buildings or structures).1.
