英语课上的free talk

英语课上的free talkFree talk,是指课前3-5分钟的自由谈话,是学生用英语自由交谈的时间。

教师用好Free talk,可以有效地加强学生英语口语的训练和培养学生综合运用英语的能力。

在这个环节中,教师的角色是引导者,引导着各种语言活动,引导着说话情景,引导着语言的组织,启发学生的思维,然后逐步放手让学生自由地说话。

在实践的过程中,教师可以根据实际灵活巧妙地把Free talk用到英语课堂上来。

个人脱口秀。

教师可以鼓励学生充当值日生的角色,进行Daily Report,报告日期、星期、天气、班内情况等。

还可以鼓励学生不断充实报告的内容,如汇报校内新鲜事和时事新闻报告等。

形式可以从刚开始的个人汇报变为两人合作汇报,从个人表演变为答记者问,即班上同学的轮番发问、互问互答等。

交流的空间。

这是指学生在学完单元的新内容后,在Free talk这一环节里交流有关的主题。

如学生在学完school 或my favourite teacher等有关内容后,根据自己的实际在小组里互相交流有关school或my favourite teacher的情况,可以达到复习巩固和运用所学的语言材料的目的。

竞赛加游戏。

教师可以鼓励学生根据所学内容自己设计英语知识竞赛,充分利用Free talk让学生展示自己,活跃课堂气氛,为新授进行热身。

如在学习了Animals at the zoo后,让学生就Animals进行问答竞赛。

例如What animals have long nose and big ears?等。

创编新对话。

这是要求学生根据所学的单词、语法、句型和课文内容编写新的对话;或由教师命题,学生进行编写操练;也可结合学过的知识改写故事或课文,创造性地进行表演。

这一训练可以让学生更好地运用所学的语言来表达自己的思想,发展学生的发散性思维。

教师可以根据教材内容进行适当的拓展。

课外让学生通过查找资料,搜集与话题有关的素材,利用Free talk 的时间进行成果汇报,并进行评比,如讲food and drink时,要求学生搜集有关Western food and Chinese food 的有关资料,在free talk时进行交流,学生的学习兴趣非常浓厚。

Free talk好处多,三五分钟见效果

Free talk好处多,三五分钟见效果语言的学习在于运用。

现行的英语新课标明确要求要发展学生的生活交际能力。

英语教师都有这样的感觉,随着英语知识的不断扩充,课堂容量不断加大,学生的英语水平不断提高,但课堂上学生说与运用英语的机会反而越来越少了。

学生只会做题,而不会说英语,这样就违背了学英语的最初目的。

那怎样给学生创造一个说英语,用英语的机会呢?我认为,Free talk是最简单有效的方法。

Free talk一词中的Free意思是自由的,因此Free talk的组织形式也是自由灵活,形式多样的:1. 自由聊天。

课前给学生三到五分钟时间,学生以小组为单位相互交谈他们想谈论的事情。

交谈后教师可以询问其中的某一小组的交谈内容,和全体学生进行二次交流。

这种交谈很有随意性,往往会触及一些时政要闻或本地新闻。

教师也可以针对新闻内容进行提问或让学生发表观点。

交谈过程中,教师可以把用到的生词、短语、地名、人名等写在黑板上。

这种交谈既拓宽了学生的视野,扩大了词汇量,又养成了针对事件深入思考并发表个人见解的好习惯。

如在一次交谈中,三组的学生谈到了他们喜欢的歌曲。

其中一名学生说他喜欢《泰坦尼克号》的主题曲,于是全班就进行了一次有关这首歌的大讨论。

讨论中,我教会了学生如何读“Titanic”,学生们知道了这首歌的演唱者是Celine Dion,并不断提问:Is she very pretty? Where is she from? Is she married? 学生们还知道了“My Heart Will Go On”中“go on”的意思。

类似这样的讨论自由灵活,很有吸引力。

2. 选取一些学生感兴趣的辩论题,引导学生就正反两方面发表自己的见解。

无论学生支持或反对哪种论点,都需要给出有说服力的理由。

针对这种论题,教师可以提前布置,学生课下准备,课堂论述,必要时可以展开辩论。

例如:“Should middle school students wear school uniforms every day?”(中学生应该天天穿校服吗?)在学生们交流讨论的过程中,教师可以融入其中,发表观点。

上学期毕业复习期间,感觉上课‎时间比较紧张内容比较多比较杂,课前就没有用free‎talk,我发现在上课过程中学生反应很平淡,总感‎觉他们动不起来,课堂氛围很沉闷。

后来我又尝试着用,‎通过与学生简单的交流,让每个学生都有发言的机会,他‎们在这短短的五分钟内就或多或少地有所收获。

他们有学‎下去的欲望和信心,所以接下来三十多分钟的课堂气氛非‎常好,学生显得轻松又活泼。

老师也感觉心情舒畅。

教‎师用好Free talk,可以有效地加强学生英语口‎语的训练和培养学生综合运用英语的能力。

在这个环节中‎,教师的角色是引导者,引导着各种语言活动,引导着说‎话情景,引导着语言的组织,启发学生的思维,然后逐步‎放手让学生自由地说话。

长期坚持下来不仅可以起到不断‎复习的作用还能使学生的基础越来越扎实。

Free ‎t alk的目的是交际。

交际是双向性的,是说者和听者‎双向交流思想的过程。

所以,单纯的教师问、学生答的F‎r ee talk已经不能满足这一要求。

教师在准备F‎r ee talk时不仅要考虑教学内容、教学方法、学‎生的水平,还要考虑结合新授内容的材料的运用。

好的材‎料应该是能够满足学生的需求、爱好、兴趣,能激发学生‎发言的欲望。

教师可以根据内容设计小情景,如In a‎Park(逛公园)、Shopping (购物)等,‎让学生在这些小情景里自由表演。

或者通过用简笔画、实‎物、图片、互联网等手段给学生加以提示,让学生进行小‎组讨论和汇报等,都可以达到丰富Free talk形‎式和内容的目的。

一、复习旧知古人云:举‎一反三,温故而知新。

复习是英语教学中必不可少的部分‎,但如果是为了用上free talk 这一环节而简‎单、随便地说上几句,就算复习旧知。

就让该环节失去它‎该有的价值了。

因此,如何用好free talk 进‎行复习呢?1、教师课前布置好free t‎a lk的话题,学生去讨论,待课上发言。

接着通过听的活动,了解肖雅家庭成员的数量和家庭成员的信息。

最后,通过小组活动,引导学生在真实语境中运用所学语言知识介绍自己的家庭成员,这对学生提出了更高的语用要求。

Pronunciation内容解读:本部分为语音知识的学习。

首先,学习元音字母a,e和辅音字母p,b,t,d,k,g的读音规则并用这些规则准确辨音,有效记忆单词。

其次,在通过chant 感知读音的前提下,通过听和跟读掌握发音,并归纳读音规则。

再次通过听音圈词,辨识发音,培养学生见词能读的能力。

本部分共分为4个活动。
