It proves artificial intelligence is no longer seen only in the movies, but is in the real world. We have to admit that it has witnessed some amazing advances. Maybe we will start work side-to-side in the future. There is likely to be another round of industrial revolution where AI is going mainstream. Still, different opinions come up about the prospects of AI.
Some people embrace the new and expect that it can benefit humans in more fields. They recognize that AI brings enormous changes to us. To begin with, the wide application of electronic computers in science and technology will free men from the labour of complicated measurement and computation, since computers can make calculations in vast numbers within a few seconds. Additionally, it can facilitate our work. Such techniques as fingerprint and face recognition can be applied in checking attendance or identifying the criminals. The most important is that scientists can make full use of AI to conduct more reasearch that was difficult to conquer. For instance, with the help of AI, doctors do precise brain surgeries beyond our imagination in the past.
Others are worried that AI will be out of control. They think that the development of artificial intelligence technology will pose a threat to human survival in the long run. It is a severe crisis for people who are worried about they will be driven out of employment by robots.
