Unit 1 A surprise birthday party
一、单元分析（Unit Analysis）
（一）单元地位（Unit Position）
1 本课出现了提出建议的表达句式，“Let’s…”、“Shall we…?”，以及对建议表达“接受”和“拒
绝”的交际句式，“Yes, I am free.”、“I’m sorry, I can’t make it.”、“Yes, that’s a good idea.”、“It’s too…I’d rather…”。

作为功能性语言，教师可以设计多个场景，在课堂教学中加以一定的机械性训练。

2 本课出现了用情态动词may表达可能性的用法，“What else may Kitty need to buy?”可以结
合may表示“许可”进行比较，并可适当延伸至maybe的用法。

3 用以表达食物制作一般顺序的副词由六年级的四步、六步增加到了八步，即First …，
Secondly …，Thirdly…, Fourthly…,Next …，Then …，After that …和Finally …
4 本单元的电话用语要求学生在实际生活中做到学以致用。

（二）单元目标（Unit Target）
1 运用固定表达互相问候：“How are you?”、“I’m fine/all right.”。

2 运用基本电话用语：“May I speak to…?”、“This is …(speaking). ”、“Who’s that?”。

3用婉转的语气推辞对方的邀请：“I’m sorry, I can’t make it”。

4运用固定表达“Let’s…”、“Shall we…?”提出建议。

5用“I’d rather…”、“I’d like to…”表达个人的偏好。

（三）单元重点（Unit Points）
1 关键词：
1）动词短语：have food and drinks, watch cartoons, watch videos, sing karaoke, have a barbecue, look forward to sth./doing sth., dress up as…, have something else to do,
need to 。

2）制作蛋糕的原料：eggs, sugar, butter, flour, chocolate powder, icing sugar, milk。

3）举行生日聚会所需的其它物品：camera, films, candles, balloons, matches, CDs…(可以让学生想象)。

3）表示制作蛋糕过程的动词：bake, add, mix, put, make, beat, wait, sift。

2 功能：
1）电话用语
●-- This is Kitty Li .May I speak to Mark, please?
-- Hello, Kitty. This is Mark speaking. How are you?
●(补充)-- Who’s that?
-- This is …speaking.
2）表达建议、邀请，接受和拒绝建议、邀请。

●--Let’s have some chicken wings.
--That’s a good idea.
●--Shall we have some spaghetti with meatballs?
--No! I’d rather have more snacks.
●--Are you free on Saturday afternoon at three o’clock?
--Yes, Kitty, I’m free.
●--Are you free next Sunday morning at 9 o’clock?
--I’m sorry, I can’t make it. I’ve got something else to do on that day.
3 知识点和语法点：
●need sth. 和need to do 的用法。

●强调“It was a lot of fun.”中的fun 是不可数名词，解释为“乐趣、趣事”。

●情态动词shall和may 的用法。

●be going to 表达即将发生的事情。
