The Definition of Love
The Definition of Love有个大学三年级的女生,不算漂亮,甚至还多少有点丑。
她见同班的女同学皆有了男友,惟独自己形影相吊,便感到挺自卑,还常常悄悄地掉泪。
There was a junior college girl who could not be rated as beautiful and was even sort of ugly-looking. Seeing that her fellow girl students had their courting partners one by one and that she alone had only her own shadow in her company, she was all blues with a sense of inferiority and shed tears when she was by herself.教心理学的老师觉察到这件事,就假冒一个男生的名义,给她写了封匿名的求爱信,这封信的末尾是:一个希望得到您的青睐的极其善良的男同胞。
就这么一封信,也就一举改造了一个人。
Having detected what was happening, her psychology teacher got an idea. In the name of a boy, he wrote an anonymous letter of love which ended with “a kind gentleman awaiting your favor.”The letter brought about transformation.
We turned to that girl only to find that she restored her courage and confidence ever since the letter reached her. With her head high with pride, her steps light with confidence, she went all out in her study and got all-As in the final examinations, which won the approval of all her fellow students.于是我突然明白了爱情的定义。

The Positive Meanings of Love爱的真谛
The Positive Meanings of LoveWe'd like to share some of the positive meanings love has for us.Love means that I know the person I love. I'm aware of the many sides of the other person —not just the beautiful side but also the limitations, inconsistencies and faults. I have an awareness of the other's feelings and thoughts, and I experience something of the core of that person. I can penetrate social masks and roles and see the other person on a deeper level.Love means that I care about the welfare of the person I love. To the extent that it is genuine, my caring is not possessive, nor does it hold the other person back. On the contrary, my caring frees both of us. If I care about you, I'm concerned about your growth, and I hope you w ill become all that you can become. Consequently, I don't put up obstacles to what you do that enhances you as a person, even though it may result in my discomfort at times.Love means having respect for the dignity of the person I love. If I love you, I can see you as a separate person, with your own values and thoughts and feelings, and I do not insist that you surrender your identity to match an image of what I expect you to be for me. I can allow and encourage you to stand alone and to be who you are, and I avoid treating you as an object or using you primarily to satisfy my own needs.Love means having a responsibility toward the person I love. If I love you, I respond to most of your major needs as a person. This responsibility does not include my doing for you what you are capable of doing for yourself; nor does it mean that I run your life for you. It does mean acknowledging that what I am and what I do affects you, so that I am directly involved in your happiness and your suffering. A lover does have the capacity to hurt or ignore the loved one, and in this sense we see that love involves an acceptance of some responsibility for the impact my way of being has on you.Love means making a commitment to the person I love. This commitment does not mean surrendering our total selves to each other; nor does it imply that the relationship is necessarily permanent. It does involve a willingness to stay with each other in times of pain, struggle, and despair, as well as in times of calm and enjoyment.Love means trusting the person I love. If I love you, I trust that you will accept my caring and my love and that you won't deliberately hurt me. I trust that you will find me attractive, and that you won't abandon me; I trust the mutual nature of our love. If we trust each other, we are willing to be open to each other and reveal our true selves.Love can tolerate imperfection. In a love relationship there are times when I am bored, timeswhen I may feel like giving up, times of real strain, and times I feel I can't move forward. Authentic love does not imply enduring happiness. I can stay during rough times, however, because I can remember what we had together in the past, and I can picture what we will have together in our future if we care enough to face our problems and work them through. We agree with the idea that love is a spirit that changes life. Love is a way of life that is creative and that transforms. However, love is not reserved for a perfect world. Love is meant for our imperfect world where things go wrong. Love is meant to be a spirit that works in painful situations. Love is meant to bring meaning into life where nonsense appears to rule. In other words, love comes into an imperfect world to make it possible to live.Love is open. If I love you, I encourage you to reach out and develop other relationships. Although our love for each other and our commitment to each other might prohibit certain actions on our parts, we are not totally and exclusively married to each other. It is a false love that cements one person to another in such a way that he or she is not given room to grow.Love is selfish. I can only love you if I genuinely love, value, appreciate, and respect myself. If I am empty, then all I can give you is my emptiness. If I feel that I'm complete and worthwhile in myself, then I'm able to give to you out of my fullness. One of the best ways for me to give you love is by fully enjoying myself with you.Love involves seeing the potential within the person we love. In my love for another, I view her or him as the person she or he can become, while still accepting who and what the person is now. By taking people as they are, we make them worse, but by treating them as if they already were what they ought to be, we help make them better. To sum it up, mature love is union under the condition of preserving one's individuality. In love, two beings become one and yet remain two.爱的真谛我们想与大家一起分享我们对爱情的一些积极看法。
定义爱 英语作文
定义爱英语作文Title: Defining Love。
Love is perhaps one of the most profound and complex emotions experienced by human beings. It transcendscultural boundaries and defies easy definition. Yet, despite its elusive nature, love remains a central theme in literature, art, and philosophy. In attempting to define love, one must explore its various dimensions and manifestations.First and foremost, love is often associated with a deep emotional bond between individuals. It encompasses feelings of affection, compassion, and empathy towards another person. This form of love, commonly known as romantic love, is characterized by passion and intimacy. It involves a strong desire for closeness and connection with a significant other. However, love extends beyond romantic relationships. Itencompasses the love between family members, friends, and even pets. This type of love is characterized by loyalty, support, and unconditional acceptance. It involves a sense of belonging and security that comes from being part of a close-knit group. Moreover, love can also be directed towards oneself. Self-love, or self-compassion, is essential for personal well-being and growth. It involves accepting oneself fully, flaws and all, and treating oneself with kindness and understanding. Self-love is the foundation for healthy relationships with others, as it allows individuals to cultivate a sense of worthiness and confidence. In addition to its emotional aspect, love also encompasses behavioral components. Acts of kindness, generosity, and altruism are expressions of love towards others. These actions demonstrate a willingness toprioritize the well-being of others above one's own interests. Love motivates individuals to perform selfless acts and contribute to the greater good of society.Furthermore, love is not confined to humanrelationships alone. Many people experience a profound connection with nature, animals, or even inanimate objects. This form of love, often described as spiritual or transcendent, involves a deep appreciation and reverencefor the world around us. It fosters a sense of interconnectedness and harmony with the universe.Ultimately, love is a multifaceted phenomenon thatdefies rigid categorization. It encompasses a wide range of emotions, behaviors, and experiences that vary from personto person. While it may be challenging to define love in precise terms, its significance in human life is undeniable. Love enriches our existence, brings meaning to our relationships, and inspires us to be better versions of ourselves. In conclusion, love is a complex and multifaceted emotion that permeates every aspect of human experience. It encompasses feelings of affection, compassion, and empathy towards others, as well as towards oneself. Love is expressed through acts of kindness, generosity, andaltruism, and extends to our relationships with nature and the world around us. While it may be challenging to define love in concrete terms, its profound impact on human lifeis unmistakable. Love enriches our lives, fosters connections with others, and brings meaning and fulfillment to our existence.。

【精品】the real definition of love 爱到底是什么
People are always wondering what is the real definition of true love. Some say love means to hold his or her hands and stay with him or her for better or worse for richer and poorer, till death do their apart. Some say love is to cherish, to comfort and to honor. And for me, honestly, I would have no idea how to describe it if I hadn't watch the series of movies. It's a love story combining the vampire legend, werewolves(狼人), life on campus, horrific suspense(恐怖悬疑), and many other eye-catching elements. It's a story between a mortal girl and an immortal vampire. Guess you know what I'm talking about. It's the twilight saga.I believe u all have heard the plots more or less, so I would just skip that step. And start my analysis from each cover of the Twilight novels, which can not only reveal the growth of their love, but also can be the illustration of the true love. The first part, is called twilight. It's the beginning of the whole story. As we can see, there is two pale hands holding an attractive apple, which also represents the forbidden fruit eaten by Eva, in the "Genesis(创世纪)" .In the story, Edward and Bella are both prepared and determined to start this forbidden love, and face what would happen together despite it may be fatal(致命的). This shows that love needs your bravery to face any problems and danger with your loved one. Besides, you must treasure this love so truly that you'd rather sacrifice yourself for it. Love without responsibility and courage is just puppy love, not true love. Bella made her love clear at the beginning of the movie. It's hard to reach that level, thus that's why the love in twilight is especially touching. The second and the third part, are called New Moon and Eclipse. These twoparts are all about the trigonometric relation between Edward Bella and Jacob. The relation is just as fragile as the red ribbon in the picture. Once collapsing, a battle between the vampires and the werewolves will break out immediately. But in the end of Eclipse, Edward and Bella finally got it set and decided to get married due to their sticking heart. This part shows exactly the two problems what young couples are facing: Temptation and faith. I believe if everyone can response as Bella do. There will be less misunderstanding. Nowadays how many boys and girls can say" it will always be him or her without any hesitation. The fourth part, also the final part. This picture shows two chess. The white one assembles the queen, but also a grown and changed Bella. After going though that many things, Bella has become the crucial point to the current circumstance. Besides, she has changed into an vampire and gave birth to a baby, who is half-human-half-vampire. So she must become stronger to protect her family from the upcoming danger. That is also the demonstration of love: You need to be strong and responsible enough in order to give your beloved one a safe shield and protect him or her. After all, love is by no means just a childish and just-saying thing, love means you need to feed it, fix it aiming to make it stable. If I were to summarize in the end, true love is not just the simple "three words, eight letters. Instead, the fundamental elements of true love, in my point of view, should be this three words. With courage to undergo any hard time, you'll be willing to sacrifice yourself for your mate. With faith in your mate, nothing will get in the way of your love. With strength to make you reliable and unbeatable, you'll be able to build a safe harbor and live here with your beloved one in the rest of your life.May all of you find your true love in the near future. That's all. Thanks for ur listening.。

对love的定义英文作文
对love的定义英文作文英文:Love is a multifaceted emotion that transcends simple definition. For me, it's an intricate blend of deep affection, respect, and care for another person. It's that feeling that can lift you up on the highest mountains, yet keep you grounded in your own reality. Love is more thanjust romance—it's about connection, understanding, and sometimes even sacrifice. To start with, love encompasses many types of relationships. It's not just romantic love but alsofamilial, platonic, and self-love. In each type, the underlying principle is a sense of mutual understanding and a deep emotional bond. I remember the first time I trulyfelt love was not from a romantic relationship but from my family. Their support during tough times taught me thatlove is about standing by each other through thick and thin. That kind of love is not just comforting but empowering, allowing me to take risks and grow as an individual. When it comes to romantic love, the emotional highs and lows are part of the package. But the best relationshipsare grounded in trust and mutual respect. It's those little moments of sharing a joke, having long conversations about nothing and everything, or simply being comfortable in silence that really matter. The butterflies in the stomachat the start may fade, but what remains is a partnershipbuilt on shared values and experiences.Love also requires vulnerability. Opening up to someone and showing them your true self can be terrifying, but it's essential for building a strong, honest relationship. Being able to share your fears, dreams, and insecurities with someone and having them accept you just the way you are—that's love.In terms of self-love, it's crucial for a balanced life. This involves treating yourself with kindness and respect, acknowledging your worth, and giving yourself the space to grow and evolve. Just like any other form of love, self-love is not static; it grows and evolves as you do.Love can be complicated, especially in today's fast-paced world where relationships can be fleeting. But when you find genuine connections, whether romantic or otherwise, it's important to cherish and nurture them. Love requires work, patience, and understanding, but the rewards are beyond measure.I've learned that love is not always perfect. Therewill be disagreements, misunderstandings, and hurt feelings. But love is about finding common ground, working through challenges, and growing together. In the end, love is about finding someone who loves you not despite your flaws, but because of them. All in all, love is a powerful force that can bring immense joy and fulfillment. It's the invisible thread that binds us together, giving our lives meaning and purpose. It's the reason we laugh, cry, and everything in between.中文:对我来说,爱是一种复杂的情感,很难用简单的语言来定义。

关于爱情的定义英语作文
Love: A Definition that Transcends Words Love is an emotion that has perplexed and fascinated humans throughout history. It is a force that is both powerful and elusive, often described in poetry, music, and art, yet difficult to define in words. Despite its complexity, I believe that love can be distilled into several essential elements.Firstly, love is an act of choice. It is not something that we are born with or destined to experience; rather, it is something that we consciously decide to pursue and nurture. We choose to love someone based on a range of factors, including emotional attraction, shared values, and a sense of mutual respect. This choice requires effort and commitment, as love does not always come easily.Secondly, love is selfless. It involves putting the needs and happiness of another person before oneself. This does not mean sacrificing one's own needs or ignoring one's own boundaries, but rather balancing the needs of both individuals in a healthy and sustainable way. True love involves a sense of empathy and understanding, the ability to see the world through the other person's eyes.Thirdly, love is dynamic. It evolves and changes over time, as do the people involved in it. Love in its earliest stages may be intense and passionate, but over time, it matures into a deeper and more enduring bond. This bond is built on trust, communication, and mutual support. It survives through the ups and downs of life, growing stronger with each shared experience. Finally, love is a verb. It is not just a feeling; itis an action. Love is expressed through kind words, gestures of affection, and daily acts of care and support. It is the small things that we do for each other that add up to create a meaningful and fulfilling relationship. In conclusion, love is much more than a simple emotion; it is a choice, a commitment, a dynamic bond, and a verb that we actively practice in our daily lives. Love is unique to each individual and each relationship, yet it shares common elements that transcend cultural andlinguistic differences. As we search for love and strive to understand it, we discover that it is not something that we find; it is something that we create, together, with the person we choose to love.**爱情:超越言语的定义**爱情是自古以来一直让人类着迷和困惑的情感。

the theory of love
The Theory of Loveby Erich FrommDivision of the passage:Part I.__para. 1. Definition of lovePart II.__ para. 2. Definition of activityPart III.___ para. 3 — 8 the active characteristic of love and definition of givingPart IV.___ para. 9__14 other characteristics of love, care, responsibility, respect and knowledge; definitions of each of thesePart V.___ para. 15__17 negative and positive ways of attaining knowledge1.Mature love is union under the condition of preserving one’s integrity, one’s individuality. Love is an active power in man ; a power which breaks through the walls which separate man from his fellow men, which unites him with others; love makes him overcome the sense of isolation and separateness, yet it permits him to be himself, to retain his integrity. I n love the paradox occurs that two beings become one and yet remain two.2. If we say love is an activity, we face a difficulty which lies in the ambiguous meaning of the word “activity.” B y “activity,” in the modern usage of the word, is usually meant an action which brings about a change in an existing situation by means of an expenditure of energy. Thus a man is considered active if he does business, studies medicine, works on an endless belt, builds a table; or is engaged in sports. Common to all these activities is that they are directed toward an outside goal to be achieved. W hat is not taken into account is the motivation of activity. Take for instance a man driven to incessant work by a sense of deep insecurity and loneliness, or another one driven by ambition, or greed for money. I n all these cases the person is the slave of a passion, and his activity is in reality a “ passivity ”because he is driven: he is the sufferer, not the “ actor ” .O n the other hand a man sitting quiet and contemplating, with no purpose or aim except that of experiencing himself and his oneness with the world, is considered to be “ passive ”because he is not “ doing ”anything. In reality, this attitude of concentrated meditation is the highest activity there is, an activity of the soul, which is possible only under the condition of inner freedom and independence. One concept of activity, the modern one, refers to the use of energy for the achievement of external aims: the other concept of activity refers to the use of man ’ s inherent powers, regardless of whether any external change is brought about. The latter concept of activity has been formulated most clearly by Spinoza. He differentiates among the affects between active and passive affects, “actions” and “passions.”In the exercise of an active affect, man is free, he is the master of his affect; in the exercise of a passive affect, man is driven, the object of motivations of which he himself is not aware. Thus Spinoza arrives at the statement that virtue and power are one and the same. Envy, jealously, ambition, and any kind of greed are passions: love is an action, the practice of a human power, which can be practiced only in freedom and never as the result of a compulsion.3. Love is an activity, not a passive affect: it is a “standing in” not a “falling for.”In the most general way, the active character of love can be described by stating that love is primarily giving, not receiving.4. What is giving? Simple as the answer to this question seems to be, it is actually full of ambiguities and complexities. T he most widespread misunderstanding is that which assumesthat giving is “giving up” something, being deprived of, sacrificing. T he person whose character has not developed beyond the stage of the receptive, exploitative, or hoard orientation, experiences the act of giving in this way. T he marketing character is willing to give, but only in exchange for receiving; giving without receiving for him is being cheated. People whose main orientation is a non-productive one feel giving as an impoverishment. Most individuals of this type therefore refuse to give. Some make a virtue out of giving in the sense of a sacrifice. They feel that just because it is painful to give, one should give; the virtue of giving to them lies in the very act of acceptance of the sacrifice. From them, the norm that it is better to give than to receive means that it is better to suffer deprivation than to experience joy.5. For the productive character, giving has an entirely different meaning. Giving is the highest expression of potency. I n the very act of giving, I experience my strength, my wealth, my power. This experience of heightened vitality and potency fills me with joy. I experience myself as overflowing, spending, alive, and hence as joyous. Giving is more joyous than receiving, not because it is a deprivation, but because in the act of giving lies the expression of my aliveness.6. In the sphere of material things giving means being rich. Not he who has much is rich, but he who gives much. T he hoarder who is anxiously worried about losing something is, psychologically speaking, the poor, impoverished man, regardless of how much he has. Whoever is capable of giving of himself is rich. H e experiences himself as one who can confer of himself to others. Only one who is deprived of all that goes beyond the barest necessities for subsistence would be incapable of enjoying the act of giving material things. B ut daily experience shows that what a person considers the minimal necessities depends as much on his character as it depends on his actual possessions. I t is well known that the poor are more willing to give than the rich. Nevertheless, poverty beyond a certain point may make it impossible to give, and is so degrading, not only because of the suffering it causes directly, but because of the fact that it deprives the poor of the joy of giving.7. the most important sphere of giving, however, is not that of material things; but lies in the specifically human realm. What does one person give to another? H e gives of himself, of the most precious thing he has, he gives of his life. T his does not necessarily mean that he sacrifices his life for the other—-but that he gives him of that which is alive in him; he gives him of his joy, of his understanding, of his knowledge, of his humor, of his sadness—of all expressions and manifestations of that which is alive in him. I n thus giving of his life, he enriches the other person; he enhances the other’s sense of aliveness by enhancing his own sense of aliveness. He does not give in order to receive; giving is in itself exquisite joy. But in giving he cannot help bringing something to life in the other person, and this which is brought to life reflects back to him; in truly giving, he cannot help receiving that which is given back to him. Giving implies to make the other person a giver also and they both share in the joy of what they have brought to life. I n the act of giving something is born, and both persons involved are grateful for the life that is born for both of them. Specifically with regard to love this means: love is a power which produces love; impotence is the inability to produce love. T his thought has been beautifully expressed by Marx: “Assume,” he says, “man as man, and his relation to the worlds as a human one, and you can exchange love only for love, confidence for confidence, etc. If you wish to enjoy art, you must be a person who has a really stimulating and furthering influence on other people. Every one of your relationships to man and to nature must be a definite expression of your real; individual life corresponding to the object of your will. I fyou love without calling forth love, that is, if your love as such does not produce love, if by means of an expression of life as a loving person you do not make yourself a loved person , then your love i s impotent, a misfortune ” .But not only in love does giving mean receiving. T he teacher is taught by his students, the actor is stimulated by his audience, the psychoanalyst is cured by his patient——provided they do not treat each other as objects, but are related to each other genuinely and productively.8. I t is hardly necessary to stress the fact that the ability to love as an act of giving depends on the character development of the person. I t presupposes the attainment of a predominantly productive orientation, in this orientation the person has overcome dependency, narcissistic omnipotence, the wish to exploit others, or to hoard, and has acquired faith in his own human powers, courage to rely on his powers in the attainment of his goals. T o the degree that these qualities are lacking, he is afraid of giving himself—-hence of loving.9. Beyond the element of giving, the active character of love becomes evident in the fact that it always implies certain basic elements, common to all forms of love. These are care, responsibility, respect and knowledge .10. That love implies care is most evident in a mother ’ s love for her child. No assurance of her love would strike us as sincere if we saw her lacking in care for the infant, if she neglected to feed it, to bathe it, to give it physical comfort ; and we are impressed by her love it we see her caring for the child. I t is not different even with the love for animals or flowers. I f a woman told us that she loved flowers, and we saw that she forgot to water them, we would not believe in her “ love ”for flowers. Love is the active concern for the life and the growth of that which we love. W here this active concern is lacking, there is no love. T his element of love has been beautifully described in the book of Jonah, in which God explains to Jonah that the essence of love is to “ labor ”for something and “ to make something grow, ”that love and labor are inseparable. O ne loves that for which one labors, and one labors for that which one loves. 11. Care and concern imply another aspect of love; that of responsibility. Today responsibility is often meant to denote duty, something imposed upon one from the outside. But responsibility in its true sense, is an entirely voluntary act; it is my response to the needs, expressed or unexpressed, of another human being. T o be “ responsible ”means to be able and ready to “ respond. ”Jonah did not feel responsible to the inhabitants of Nineveh. He like Cain could ask: “Am I my brother ’ s keeper? ”The loving person responds. The life of his brother is not his brother ’ s business alone , but his own. He feels responsible for his fellow men, as he feels responsible for himself. T his responsibility , in the case of the mother and her infant, refers mainly to the care for physical needs. I n the love between adults it refers mainly to the psychic needs of the other person.12. Responsibility could easily deteriorate into domination and possessiveness, were it not for a third component of love, respect. Respect is not fear and awe; it denotes; in accordance with the root of the word (respicere = to look at), the ability to see a person as he is. Respect, thus, implies the absence of exploitation. I want the loved person to grow and unfold for his won sake, and in his own ways, but with him as he is, not as I need him to be as an object for my use. I t is clear that respect is possible only if I have achieved independence, if I can stand and walk without needing crutches, without having to dominate and exploit anyone else. Respect exists only on the basis of freedom: “I ’amour est I ’ enfant de la liberte ”as an old French song says; love is the child of freedom, never that of domination.13. To respect a person is not possible without knowing him; care and responsibility would be blind if they were not guided by knowledge. Knowledge would be empty if it were not motivated by concern. T here are many layers of knowledge; the knowledge which is an aspect of love is one which does not stay at the periphery, but penetrates to the core. I t is possible only when I can transcend the concern for myself and see the other person in his own terms I may know, for instance, that a person is angry, even if he does not show it overtly; but I may know him more deeply than that; then I know that he is anxious, and worried; that he feels lonely, that he feels guilty. T hen I know that his anger is only the manifestation of something deeper, and I see him as anxious and embarrassed, that is, as the suffering person, rather than as the angry one.14. Knowledge has one more, and a more fundamental, relation to the problem of love. T he basic need to fuse with another person so as to transcend the prison of one ’ s separateness is closely related to another specifically human desire, that to know the “ secret of man. ”While life in its merely biological aspects is a miracle and a secret, man in his human aspects is an unfathomable secret to himself—- and to his fellow man. W e know ourselves, and yet even with all the efforts we may make, we do not know ourselves. W e know our fellow man, and yet we do not know him, because we are not a thing, and our fellow man is not a thing. T he further we reach into the depth of our being, or someone else ’ s being, the more the goal of knowledge eludes us. Y et we cannot help desiring to penetrate the secret of man ’ s soul, the innermost nucleus which is “ he ” .15. There is one way, a desperate one, to know the secret: it is that of complete power over another person; the power which makes him do what we want, feel what we want, think what we want; which transforms him into a thing, our thing, our possession. T he ultimate degree of this attempt to know lies in the extremes of sadism, the desire and ability to make a human being suffer; to torture him, to force him to betray his secret in his suffering. I n this craving for penetrat ing man ’ s secret, his and hence our own, lies an essential motivation for the depth and intensity of cruelty and destructiveness.16. In children we often see this path to knowledge quite overtly. T he child takes something apart, breaks it up in order to know it, or it takes an animal apart; cruelly tears off the wings of a butterfly in order to know it, to force its secret. T he cruelty itself is motivated by something deeper: the wish to know the secret of things and of life.17. The other path to knowing “ the secret ”is love. Love is active penetration of the other person, in which my desire to know is stilled by union. Sadism is motivated by the wish to know the secret, yet I remain as ignorant as I was before. I have torn the other being apart limb from limb, yet all I have done is to destroy him. Love is the only way of knowledge, which in the act of union answers my quest. I n the act of loving, of giving myself, in the act of penetrating the other person, I find myself, I discover us both, I discover man.。

Definition of Love
Love, it is such a familiar word to all of us. We talk it everyday. However, it seems that love is not something as simple as what we imagine.
What is love? There is no doubt different person has different definitions of it. Love can be the mutual affection between those who are in love; love can be the selfless dedication from parents to children; love can be the mutual care among friends. Love has millions of definitions.
To me, love is to let go.
I dare to say, everyone here must have heard the stories about the how young eagles start to learn flying. Eagles all live in some place with very hard conditions, for example, cliffs. Also, they will face the fierce competition among their own kind and between other species. To survive, they must master the very strong living skills. Since, they are very young, the mother eagles will push their babies to learn flying on the dangerous cliffs, no matter how scared the young babies are.
I think every time the mother eagles are worried about their babies. But they have to let them go. Only by doing so, can the young master the skills and survive in the competitive nature.
This is a kind of love, a kind of tough love to let go.
Like the story of eagles, when we were babies, the first time we got tripped over while learning to walk, our worrying mothers stayed besides us, with tears in their eyes and smile on their faces, and said: Honey, get up yourself, you are the best.
All mothers know, all of us will grow up and their letting us go will help us to grow faster and stronger.
That is my own understanding and definition for love. Actually, love is the greatest art in the world. We need to dedicate our lifetime to learn it, to perform it. Only those who are willing to dedicate, to give can feel and get the true meaning of love. Let go is one kind of tough love, which is a must to everyone. Let go does not mean to ignore, does not mean carelessness. It is the very important and necessary activator to everyone’s growing. All please cherish and understand such kind of tough love.。
