2020年6月大学英语四级真题及答案
2016年6月英语四级考试真题及答案Part I Writing (30 minutes)Directions:For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a letter to express your thanks to one of your friends who helped you most when you were in difficulty。
You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words。
Part III Reading Comprehension (40 minutes)Section ADirections:In this section, there is a passage with ten blanks. You are required to select one word for each blank from a list of choices given in a word bank following the passage. Read the passage through carefully before making your choices. Each choice in the bank is identified by a letter. Please mark the corresponding letter for each item on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre. You may not use any of the words in the bank more than once.Questions 26 to 35 are based on the passage you have just heard.Physical activity does the body good, and there’s growing evidence that it helps the brain too. Researchers in the Netherlands report that children who get more exercise, whether at school or on their own,26to have higher GPAs and better scores on standardized tests. In a 27 of 14 studies that looked at physical activity and academic28,investigators found that the more children moved, the better their grades were in school,29in the basic subjects of math,English and reading. The data will certainly fuel the ongoing debate over whether physical education classes should be cut as schools struggle to 30on smaller budgets. The arguments against physical education have included concerns that gym time may be taking away from study time. With standardized test scores in the U.S. 31in recent years, some administrators believe studentsneed to spend more time in the classroom instead of on the playground. But as these findings show, exercise and academics may not be 32exclusive. Physical activity can improve blood 33to the brain, fueling memory, attention and creativity, which are 34to learning. And exercise releases hormones that can improve 35and relieve stress, which can also help learning. So while it may seem as if kids are just exercising their bodies when they’re running around, they may actually be exercising their brains as well.注意:此部分试题请在答题卡2上作答.A)attendanceB)consequentlyC)currentD)depressingE)droppingF)essentialG)feasibleH)flowI)moodJ)mutuallyK)particularlyL)performanceM)reviewN)surviveO)tendSection BDirections:In this section, you are going to read a passage with ten statements attached to it. Each statement contains information given in one of the paragraphs. Identify the paragraph from which the information is derived. You may choose a paragraph more than once. Each paragraph is marked with a letter. Answer the questions by marking the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2.Finding the Right Home—and Contentment,Too[A] When your elderly relative needs to enter some sort of long-term care facility—a moment few parents or children approach without fear—what you would like is to have everything made clear.[B] Does assisted living really mark a great improvement over a nursing home,or has the industry simply hired better interior designers? Are nursing homes as bad as people fear,or is that an out-moded stereotype (固定看法)?Can doing one’s homework really steer families to the best places? It is genuinely hard to know.[C] I am about to make things more complicated by suggesting that what kind of facility an older person lives in may matter less than we have assumed. And that the characteristics adult children look for when they begin the search are not necessarily the things that make a difference to the people who are going to move in. I am not talking about the quality of care, let me hastily add. Nobody flourishes in a gloomy environment with irresponsible staff and a poor safety record. But an accumulating body of research indicates that some distinctions between one type of elder care and another have little real bearing on how well residents do.[D] The most recent of these studies, published in The journal of Applied Gerontology, surveyed 150 Connecticut residents of assisted living, nursing homes and smaller residential care homes (known in some states as board and care homes or adult care homes). Researchers from the University of Connecticut Health Center asked the residents a large number of questions about their quality of life, emotional well-being and social interaction,as well as about the quality of the facilities.[E] “We thought we would see di fferences based on the housing types,” said the lead author of the study,Julie Robison,an associate professor of medicine at the university. A reasonable assumption—don’t families struggle to avoid nursing homes and suffer real guilt if they can’t?[F] In the initial results, assisted living residents did paint the most positive picture. They were less likely to report symptoms of depression than those in the other facilities, for instance, and less likely to be bored or lonely. They scored higher on social interaction.[G] But when the researchers plugged in a number of other variables, such differences disappeared. It is not the housing type, they found, that creates differences in residents’ responses. “It is the characteristics of the specific envi ronment they are in,combined with their own personal characteristics—how healthy they feel they are, their age and marital status,” Dr. Robison explained. Whether residents felt involved in the decision to move and how long they had lived there also proved significant.[H] An elderly person who describes herself as in poor health, therefore, might be no less depressed in assisted living (even if her children preferred it)than in a nursing home. A person who bad input into where he would move and has had time to adapt to it might do as well in a nursing home as in a small residential care home, other factors being equal. It is an interaction between the person and the place, not the sort of place in itself, that leads to better or worse experiences. “You can’t just say,‘Let’s put this person in a residential care home instead of a nursing home—she will be much better off,” Dr. Robison said. What matters, she added,“is a combination of what people bring in with them, and what they find there.”[I] Such findings, which run counter to common sense, have surfaced before. In a multi-state study of assisted living, for instance,University of North Carolina researchers found that a host of variables—the facility’s type, size or age;whether a chain owned it;how attractive the neighborhood was—had no significant relationship to how the residents fared in terms of illness, mental decline, hospitalizations or mortality. What mattered most was the residents’ physical health and mental status. What people were lik e when they came in had greater consequence than what happened one they were there.[J] As I was considering all this, a press release from a respected research firm crossed my desk, announcing that the five-star rating system that Medicare developed in 2008 to help families compare nursing home quality also has little relationship to how satisfied its residents or their family members are. As a matter of fact, consumers expressed higher satisfaction with the one-star facilities, the lowest rated, than with the five-star ones. (More on this study and the star ratings will appear in a subsequent post.)[K] Before we collectively tear our hair out—how are we supposed to find our way in a landscape this confusing?—here is a thought from Dr. Philip Sloane,a geriatrician(老年病学专家)at the University of North Carolina:“In a way, that could be liberating for families.”[L] Of course, sons and daughters want to visit the facilities, talk to the administrators and residents and other families, and do everything possible to fulfill their duties. But perhaps they don’t have to turn themselves into private investigators or Congressional subcommittees. “Families can look a bit more for where the residents are going to be happy,” Dr. Sloane said. And involving the future resident in the process can be very important.[M] We all have our own ideas about what would bring our parents happiness. They have their ideas, too. A friend recently took her mother to visit an expensive assisted living/nursing home near my town. I have seen this place—it is elegant, inside and out. But nobody greeted the daughter and mother when they arrived, though the visit had been planned;nobody introduced them to the other residents. When they had lunch in the dining room, they sat alone at a table.[N] The daughter feared her mother would be ignored there, and so she decided to move her into a more welcoming facility. Based on what is emerging from some of this research, that might have been as rational a way as any to reach a decision.36. Many people feel guilty when they cannot find a place other than a nursing home for their parents.37.Though it helps for children to investigate care facilities, involving their parents in the decision-making process may prove very important.38.It is really difficult to tell if assisted living is better than a nursing home.39.How a resident feels depends on an interaction between themselves and the care facility they live in.40.The author thinks her friend made a rational decision in choosing a more hospitable place over an apparently elegant assisted living home.41.The system Medicare developed to rate nursing home quality is of little help to finding a satisfactory place.42.At first the researchers of the most recent study found residents in assisted living facilities gave higher scores on social interaction.43.What kind of care facility old people live in may be less important than we think.44.The findings of the latest research were similar to an earlier multi-state study of assisted living.45.A resident’s satisfaction with a care facility has much to do with whether they had participated in the decision to move in and how long they had stayed there.Section CDirections:There are 2 passages in this section. Each passage is followed by some questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A),B),C)and D). You should decide on the best choice and mark the corresponding letter on Answer Sheet 2 with a single line through the centre.Passage oneQuestions 46 to 50 are based on the following passage. As Artificial Intelligence(AI)becomes increasingly sophisticated, there are growing concerns that robots could become a threat. This danger can be avoided, according to computer science professor Stuart Russell,if we figure out how to turn human values into a programmable code.Russell argues that as robots take on more complicated tasks,it’s necessary to translate our morals into AI language. For example,if a robot does chores around the house, you wouldn’t want it to put the pet cat in the oven to make dinner for the hungry children. “You would want that robot preloaded with a good set of values,” said Russell. Some robots are already programmed with basic human values. For example, mobile robots have been programmed to keep a comfortable distance from humans. Obviously there are cultural differences, but if you were talking to another person and they came up close in your personal space, you wouldn’t think that’s the kind of thing a p roperly brought-up person would do.It will be possible to create more sophisticated moral machines,if only we can find a way to set out human values as clear rules.Robots could also learn values from drawing patterns from large sets of data on human behavior. They are dangerous only if programmers are careless. The biggest concern with robots going against human values is that human beings fail to so sufficient testing and they’ve produced a system that will break some kind of taboo(禁忌).One simple check would be to program a robot to check the correct course of action with a human when presented with an unusual situation. If the robot is unsure whether an animal is suitable for the microwave,it has the opportunity to stop, send out beeps(嘟嘟声),and ask for directions from a human. If we humans aren’t quite sure about a decision,we go and ask somebody else. The most difficult step in programming values will be deciding exactly what we believe in moral, and how to create a set of ethical rules. But if we come up with an answer, robots could be good for humanity.46.What does the author say about the threat of robots?A)It may constitute a challenge to computer progranmers.B)It accompanies all machinery involving high technology.C)It can be avoided if human values are translated into their language.D)It has become an inevitable peril as technology gets more sophisticated.47.What would we think of a person who invades our personal space according to the author?A)They are aggressive.B)They are outgoing.C)They are ignorant.D)They are ill-bred.48.How do robots learn human values?A)By interacting with humans in everyday life situations.B)By following the daily routines of civilized human beings.C)By picking up patterns from massive data on human behavior.D)By imitating the behavior of property brought-up human beings.49.What will a well-programmed robot do when facing an unusual situation?A)keep a distance from possible dangers.B)Stop to seek advice from a human being.C)Trigger its built-in alarm system at once.D)Do sufficient testing before taking action.50.What is most difficult to do when we turn human values into a programmable code?A)Determine what is moral and ethical.B)Design some large-scale experiments.C)Set rules for man-machine interaction.D)Develop a more sophisticated program.Passage TwoQuestions 51 to 55 are based on the following passage. Why do some people live to be older than others? You know the standard explanations:keeping a moderate diet, engaging in regular exercise, etc. But what effect does your personality have on your longevity(长寿)?Do some kinds of personalities lead to longer lives?A new study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society looked at this question by examining the personality characteristics of 246 children of people who had lived to be at least 100.The study shows that those living the longest are more outgoing, more active and less neurotic (神经质的)than other people. Long-living women are also more likely to be sympathetic and cooperative than women with a normal life span. These findings are in agreement with what you would expect from the evolutionary theory:those who like to make friends and help others can gather enough resources to make it through tough times.Interestingly, however, other characteristics that you might consider advantageous had no impact on whether study participants were likely to live longer. Those who were more self-disciplined,for instance, were no more likely to live to be very old. Also, being open to new ideas had no relationship to long life, which might explain all those bad-tempered old people who are fixed in their ways.Whether you can successfully change your personality as an adult is the subject of a longstanding psychological debate. But the new paper suggests that if you want long life, you should strive to be as outgoing as possible.Unfortunately, another recent study shows that your mother’s personality may also help determine your longevity. That study looked at nearly 28,000 Norwegian mothers and found that those moms who were more anxious, depressed and angry were more likely to feed their kids unhealthy diets. Patterns of childhood eating can be hard to break when we’re adults, which may mean that kids of depressed moms end up dying younger.Personality isn’t destiny(命运),and everyone knows that individuals can learn to change. But both studies show that long life isn’t just a matter of your physical health but of your mental health.51. The aim of the study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society is____.A)to see whether people’s personality affects their life spanB)to find out if one’s lifestyle has any effect on their healthC)to investigate the role of exercise in living a long lifeD)to examine all the factors contributing to longevity52. What does the author imply about outgoing and sympathetic people?A)They have a good understanding of evolution.B)They are better at negotiating an agreement.C)They generally appear more resourceful.D)They are more likely to get over hardship.53. What finding of the study might prove somewhat out of our expectation?A)Easy-going people can also live a relatively long life.B)Personality characteristics that prove advantageous actually vary with times.C)Such personality characteristics as self-discipline have no effect on longevity.D)Readiness to accept new ideas helps one enjoy longevity.54. What does the recent study of Norwegian mothers show?A)Children’s personality characteristics are invariably determined by their mothers.B)People with unhealthy eating habits are likely to die sooner.C)Mothers’ influence on children may last longer than fathers’.D)Mothers’ negative personality characteristics may affect their children’s life spans.55.What can we learn from the findings of the two new studies?A)Anxiety and depression more often than not cut short one’s life span.B)Longevity results from a combination of mental and physical health.C)Personality plays a decisive role in how healthy one is.D)Health is in large part related to one’s lifestyle.Part IV Translation (30 minutes)Directions:For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to translate a passage from Chinese into English. 范文:Dear all,I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to my parents for teaching me to be positive and to be strong. “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” is the opinion held by Aristotle. It is the experience of our forefathers, however, it is correct even today, including my parenting. It is widely acknowledged that parenting, which can also be explained as family education, is of great significance in our character forming and manner acquiring. To be more detailed, setting good examples instead of just giving precepts is the greatest achievement of my parents. They not only taught me to think for the best and prepare for the worst; they taught me how. They not only told me the benefits of being strong in mind; they proved it. All those things require huge amount of time and work, but it’s worth it.Without my parents'contribution and education, I would never be who I am now.Yours,Li MingDear parents,This letter is to tell you my true feelings from the bottom of my heart. Besides, It is really an honor for me to be your sister and I will cherish the good will you showed to me wherever I go.In a word, my appreciation to you is beyond words. 如何表达对父母的感激之情英语作文初中
如何表达对父母的感激之情英语作文初中全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1How to Say Thank You to Your Mom and DadHi friends! Today I want to talk about our parents and how we can show them that we really really appreciate everything they do for us. Our moms and dads work super hard every single day to take care of us and make sure we have what we need. They make us yummy meals, help us with our homework, tuck us into bed at night, and so much more! Even when we're not behaving our best, they still love us no matter what. Isn't that amazing?Sometimes though, I think kids like us can forget to say thank you to our parents. We might take them for granted because they're always there for us. But our parents deserve to know just how grateful we are to have them in our lives. That's why it's important to tell them thank you and show our appreciation as much as we can!So how can we let our moms and dads know we care? Here are some ideas:Say "Thank You" Out LoudThis one is easy - just tell them! Whenever they do something nice for you like making your favorite dinner or helping with a tough homework assignment, make sure to say "thank you!" Use a big smile and give them a hug too. Hearing those two little words will make them feel so happy.Write a Thank You NoteParents love getting notes and cards from their kids. You can decorate a piece of paper with cool drawings and stickers, then write a message inside telling your mom or dad why you appreciate them. Maybe thank them for always being there for you or for working hard to give you a good life. Trust me, they'll cherish that note forever!Do a Good DeedOne of the best ways to show your gratitude is to do something kind and helpful for your parents without them asking. You could make your bed, load the dishwasher, or tidy up your room. Taking that chore off their plate is such a nice surprise!Spend Quality Time TogetherOur parents just want to be around us and have us be part of their lives. So make an effort to hang out together as a family. Put away your phone or video games, and really be present with them. Play a board game, go to the park, or just chat about your days. Simple quality time means so much.Give a Thoughtful GiftYou don't need to buy anything expensive - the best gifts show how well you know and love your mom and dad. Make them a craft from art supplies, bake some yummy cookies from scratch, or make them a playlist of their favorite songs. Putting in that creative effort will make them feel super special! No matter which ideas you choose, the most important thing is to let your appreciation show through your words and actions every day. Our parents devote their entire lives to giving us the very best, and the least we can do is return some of that limitless love and gratitude. So tell them thank you today, and keep on showing your thanks tomorrow and every day after that!Because at the end of the day, we should feel like the luckiest kids in the world to have such caring, hard-working, loving parents in our lives. They help shape who we are and who we'll become. And for that, we owe them our sincere gratitude always.篇2How to Express Gratitude Towards Your ParentsHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 7th grader. Today, I want to talk about something really important - expressing gratitude towards our parents. As we get older, it's easy to take our parents for granted or forget how much they do for us every single day. But our parents deserve to know how thankful we are for their endless love, support, and sacrifices.First off, let's think about all the things our parents do for us on a daily basis. They wake up early to make us breakfast and pack our lunches. They drive us to school, sports practice, music lessons, and all our other activities. When we're sick, they take care of us and make sure we have everything we need to get better. At night, they help us with our homework and listen to us talk about our days. Our parents also work really hard to provide for our families. Some moms and dads have jobs outside the home, while others take care of the house and kids full-time. Either way, it's a huge responsibility! They give up so much of their time, energy, and money to make sure we are happy, healthy, and have what we need. Most importantly, our parents love us unconditionally. They are always there for us with a big hug when we're feeling sad, frustrated, or stressed out. They cheer us on at our games and concerts. They boost our confidence when we're feeling insecure. Their love for us is truly endless. With all that our parents do, it's so important that we take the time to express our appreciation. Here are some ideas for how to do that:Say "thank you" often. It's simple, but those two little words mean so much! Make sure to say thank you to your parents whenever they do something for you, big or small.Write them a heartfelt letter or card. Tell your parents exactly why you're grateful for them, with specific examples. Let them know how their hard work, patience, and love impact your life every day.Do a good deed or chore without being asked. Surprise your parents by cleaning up around the house, washing the car, or doing yard work. It'll give them a break and show you appreciate everything they do.Make them a homemade gift. Get creative with a DIY project like baking their favorite treat, making a photo collage, orputting together a coupon book with offers for hugs, backrubs, or helping with chores.Spend quality time together. Put away your phones and computers, and really be present with your parents. Play a game, go for a walk, or just chat. Treasuring that one-on-one time is so valuable.Tell other people how awesome your parents are. Brag about them to relatives, teachers, your friends' parents, or anyone else! It'll make your parents feel loved and appreciated. No matter how we choose to express our gratitude, the most important thing is that it comes from the heart. Our parents don't expect anything grand in return for all they do - a sincere "thank you" and reminder that we notice and care means the world. So let's all make an effort to thank our moms and dads more often! Our parents work incredibly hard and make countless sacrifices to give us wonderful lives. A little gratitude can go a long way in strengthening our bond and letting our parents know how much we truly cherish them.Thank you for reading, and don't forget to thank your parents today!篇3How to Say Thank You to Mom and DadHi everyone! My name is Johnny and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to talk to you about the most important people in my life - my mom and dad! They do so much for me every single day and I want to make sure they know how grateful I am. But sometimes it's hard to find the right words to tell them. That's why I'm going to share some tips on how to express your gratitude and appreciation to your parents.First of all, we have to understand why it's so important to thank our moms and dads. They love us more than anything in the world! From the moment we were born, they have taken care of us, provided for us, and been by our side through thick and thin. They make sure we have food, clothes, a roof over our heads, and everything else we need. But it's about so much more than just material things. Our parents teach us right from wrong. They show us how to be good people and make good choices. They help us with our homework and encourage us to work hard in school. When we're sad or scared, they give us hugs and make us feel better. When we achieve something great, they are our biggest cheerleaders, celebrating our accomplishments. Our parents sacrifice so much for us, and they do it all out of pure love. That's why it's absolutely essential that we find ways to express how thankful we are for everything they do.So how can we show our gratitude? One of the simplest but most meaningful things we can do is to tell them! Look your mom or dad in the eyes and say "thank you" from the bottom of your heart. You can explain exactly what you're grateful for, whether it's for making your favorite dinner, helping you with a tough homework assignment, or just for being an amazing parent. Hearing those words of appreciation will mean the world to them.Another way to express gratitude is through our actions. We can help out around the house by doing chores without being asked. Things like making our beds, cleaning our rooms, taking out the trash, or setting the table for dinner. Doing little things to make their lives easier is a wonderful way to show we care. We can also be on our best behavior - following rules, being respectful, and staying out of trouble. Good behavior is the best thank you gift we can give!If you really want to go above and beyond, get creative! Make a handmade card or craft with a heartfelt message. Write apoem or draw a picture expressing your love and gratitude. Put together a homemade gift like baking their favorite cookies or giving them a little plant you grew yourself. Acts of creativity and thoughtfulness like these mean so much. It's also important to appreciate the sacrifices our parents make for us. Maybe dad works long hours at his job to provide for the family. Maybe mom spends countless hours driving us to all of our activities and appointments. Let them know you recognize how hard they work and that you don't take it for granted. A little understanding and empathy can go a long way.Sometimes it's the little things that have the biggest impact. Give your mom or dad an unexpected hug or kiss on the cheek. Tell them you love them for no reason at all. Leave a sweet note in their lunchbox or daily planner. Share positive thoughts and compliments about what a great parent they are. All of these tiny acts of kindness add up to make moms and dads feel appreciated. Finally, remember that actions speak louder than words. Saying "thank you" is extremely important, but we also need to show our gratitude through our behavior. Treat your parents with kindness and respect at all times. Listen to them and follow their guidance. Work hard in school because you know youreducation is important to them. Be a good person who makes the right choices, because that's what they've taught you. When you live your life in a way that makes your parents proud, it's the ultimate expression of gratitude.Moms and dads, I hope this gives you some good ideas on how to show us how thankful you are! We really do appreciate everything you do, even if we don't say it enough. You are the most important people in our lives. Thank you for your unconditional love, your guidance, your sacrifices, and for always being there for us no matter what. We love you to the moon and back!篇4How to Show Gratitude to Your ParentsHi there! Today I want to talk about something really important - showing your parents how grateful you are for everything they do. Our parents work so hard to give us a good life, and it's easy to take that for granted sometimes. But it's really important to let them know we appreciate them.First off, why should we be grateful to our parents? Well, think about all the things they do for us every single day. They make sure we have clothes to wear, food to eat, somewhere safeto live. They help us with our homework when we're stuck. They take us to fun places like the park or the movies. They tuck us in at night and make sure we feel loved. Basically, parents do a million little things to make our lives better! On top of that, our parents sacrifice a lot for us. Most moms and dads have to go to work all day to earn money for our family. Even when they're tired from a long day, they still come home and take care of us. They spend their hard-earned money on the things we need instead of buying stuff for themselves. They miss out on fun activities because they have parenting duties. Doesn't that deserve some major appreciation?Unfortunately, a lot of kids and teens don't show enough gratitude. We get so used to our parents doing nice things that we start expecting it and forget to say thanks. Or sometimes we take our frustrations out on our parents when we're having a bad day, even though they're on our side. Guilty as charged - I'll admit I don't thank my parents nearly enough! So how can we be better at expressing gratitude? Here are some ideas:First, get in the habit of saying "thank you." Those two little words go such a long way! Thank your parents after every meal, every time they give you a ride somewhere, every time they helpyou with something. You can say it out loud or leave a nice note. Let them know their efforts don't go unnoticed.Second, do nice things for your parents without being asked. Make them a card or write a heartfelt letter telling them how much you appreciate their hard work and everything they've done for you. Offer to take over some chores like folding laundry or doing dishes to give them a break. Surprising parents with kind gestures is so meaningful.Third, be on your best behavior as much as possible. Following rules, doing well in school, and avoiding trouble makes parents really happy and proud. When we make good choices, it feels rewarding to them because they know their hard work as parents is paying off by raising a great kid. Good behavior is a wonderful way to show gratitude.Fourth, spend quality time together. Be sure to put away your phones and devices to really be present. Ask your parents about their days and lives when they were younger. Do activities you can enjoy as a family like playing games, watching movies, or going for walks together. Making an effort to connect shows you cherish that bonding time.Lastly, and most importantly, tell them you love them. Give your parents great big hugs. Remind them that you couldn't askfor better parents. Those words and affections will make their days brighter and reinforce how much you value and care about them.I know being a parent is one of the hardest jobs in the world. Our parents are pretty much real-life superheroes! Just thinking about all the ways they take care of us and prioritize our happiness makes me feel so grateful. Our parents deserve to feel appreciated every single day for the amazing things they do.I'm definitely going to work harder on expressing my gratitude through words, actions, and quality time together. Cultivating an attitude of thankfulness will only bring us closer as a family. It's such a simple thing, but it goes a long way in making parents feel valued, respected, and loved. So let's all give our amazing parents a great big THANK YOU for everything!篇5How to Show You're Thankful to Your Mom and DadHi friends! Today I want to talk about our parents and how we can let them know just how grateful we are for everything they do. Our moms and dads work really hard taking care of us, and they deserve to know that we appreciate them a whole lot!First off, why should we be thankful for our parents? Well, think about all the things they do for us each and every day. They wake up early to make us yummy breakfasts and pack our lunches. They get us ready for school and make sure we have everything we need. After school, they help us with our homework when we get stuck. Mom or dad cooks us delicious dinners and snacks when we're hungry. They play games with us, read us stories, and tuck us in at night. Basically, they take care of everything we need! Our parents also give us really good advice when we need help or are feeling sad or upset about something. They know just what to say to make us feel better. And you know what else? They love us SO much! Our parents show us love through hugs, kisses, and telling us how special we are. We're so lucky to have such caring, supportive parents. But being a parent is really hard work. Sometimes Mom looks tired after a long day at her job. Sometimes Dad seems stressed when he gets home from the office. That's because they work extremely hard to give our family everything we need and make sure we're happy. The least we can do is show them how much we appreciate their effort and love!So how can we express our gratitude and thanks to Mom and Dad? Here are some ideas:First, you can tell them how you feel using your words. Next time your mom makes your favorite meal or your dad helps you with math homework, look them in the eye and say "Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to do this for me." Those simple words will make them feel good.Another way to show gratitude is by helping out around the house. You can make your bed, put your toys away, set the table for dinner, or do other chores without being asked. This takes work off your parents' plate and shows you care. You can also draw them a picture or make them a card telling them whyyou're thankful for them. Parents love getting handmade gifts from their kids! Finally, you can show your appreciation through your actions and behavior. Be sure to follow rules, be respectful, work hard at school, and be kind to your family members. This will make your parents proud and show you don't take their love and effort for granted.Overall, don't forget that parents are humans too. They get tired, stressed, and need to be reminded that their hard work is valued. Start practicing ways to express your gratitude now, andkeep it up as you get older. Hearing "thank you" and seeing their child's appreciation means more to parents than anything else. Make sure your mom and dad know just how much you care!篇6How to Say Thank You to Your Mom and DadHi friends! Today I want to talk about our parents and why they are so awesome. Our moms and dads work really hard every single day to take care of us. They make us food, help us with our homework, play with us, and keep us safe and healthy. Isn't that really nice of them? I think we should show them how grateful we are by saying thank you! There are lots of ways to tell your parents thank you. One way is to simply say "Thank you!" whenever they do something nice for you. Like if your dad helps you tie your shoes, you can look him in the eye and say "Thank you dad, I really appreciate your help." Or if your mom makes your favorite dinner, you can give her a big hug and say "Thank you so much for this yummy meal!" Using those two little words "thank you" is an easy way to make your parents feel loved.Another way to show gratitude is by doing nice things for your parents without them asking. You could make them a sweetcard telling them how great they are. Or you could clean up your room or do a chore around the house to help them out. Little acts of kindness and service go a long way! Your parents will be so happy to see you being helpful. You can also express thanks by giving your parents a special gift. It doesn't have to be anything expensive - even just picking some pretty flowers from the park can be a wonderful present. Or you could make them something creative like a drawing, poem, or piece of art. Adding a nice note explaining why you appreciate them will make the gift extra meaningful. Most importantly, you should try your very best every day to be a good kid who listens, works hard, and follows the rules. Moms and dads LOVE it when their children behave well and make good choices. It makes all their hard work as parents feel worthwhile. So be sure to pay attention in school, do your chores and homework without complaining, share with your siblings, and generally try to make your parents proud. That is one of the greatest gifts you can give!I'm so lucky to have amazing parents who love me unconditionally. I can't imagine my life without their constant love, support, and guidance. They have done more for me than I could ever fully repay. But by frequently expressing my gratitudethrough words, actions, gifts, and good behavior, I can at least try to show them how much they mean to me. After all they have sacrificed for our family, the least I can do is say thank you. What about you? How do you plan to show appreciation to your wonderful parents? Remember, they adore you and have worked so hard to give you the best life possible. A little thanks can really brighten their day and strengthen your close bond. Why not try out some of the ideas I mentioned and see how happy it makes your mom and dad? I'm sure they will be overjoyed that you care enough to express your love and gratitude. Our parents are pretty much the best, aren't they? Whenever I'm having a bad day, I remind myself how lucky I am to have their unwavering support and affection. Not every kid is as fortunate as we are. That's why it's so important to cherish our parents and make sure they know just how grateful we are for everything they do. So go give your mom and dad a big kiss and say "I love you!" - they definitely deserve it.。

跟父母说谢谢的英语作文
Growing up, I often took the love and support of my parents for granted. It wasnt until I reached high school that I truly began to appreciate the depth of their care and the sacrifices they made for me. This realization came to me in a series of small moments that gradually built into a profound sense of gratitude. One of the first instances that made me reflect on my parents love was a simple act of kindness. My mother, noticing that I was stressed about an upcoming exam, prepared a latenight snack for me. It was just a bowl of warm milk and cookies, but the gesture was so thoughtful that it brought tears to my eyes. I remember sitting at the kitchen table, the steam from the milk gently fogging up the window, and feeling a wave of warmth that was not just from the drink but from the love it represented. My father, on the other hand, was always the silent pillar of strength. He worked long hours to provide for our family, often coming home exhausted but never failing to ask about my day. There was a time when I had a major presentation at school, and I was nervous about it. He stayed up with me, offering words of encouragement and helping me rehearse until I felt confident. The next day, when I nailed the presentation, I knew I had him to thank for my success. As I entered high school, the pressures of academics, extracurricular activities, and social life became more intense. It was during these times that I saw my parents unwavering support. They never pushed me to excel beyond my limits but always encouraged me to do my best. When I faced setbacks, they were the first to comfort me, reminding me that its okay tofail as long as I learn from it.One day, after a particularly tough day at school, I came home to find a note from my parents. It was a simple message, saying, Were proud of you, no matter what. Those words resonated with me, and I felt a surge of gratitude for having parents who understood and accepted me for who I am.I decided it was time to express my thanks. I remember sitting down to write them a letter, pouring out all the feelings I had kept inside. I wrote about the times they had been there for me, the sacrifices they had made, and how much I appreciated their love and support. It wasnt an easy task, as putting such deep emotions into words can be challenging, but I knew it was necessary. When I handed them the letter, I could see the surprise and emotion in their eyes. They read it quietly, and when they looked up, there was a shared understanding that our relationship had reached a new level of depth. We hugged, and in that embrace, I felt a connection that transcended words.Since then, Ive made it a point to tell my parents thank you more often, not just for the big things but for the small, everyday moments that show their love. Ive learned that expressing gratitude is not just about saying the words but about showing through actions that their efforts are recognized and cherished. In conclusion, the journey of expressing gratitude to my parents has been a transformative one. It has deepened our bond and taught me the importance of acknowledging the love and support that surrounds us every day. Its a lesson I carry with me, not just in my relationship with my parents, but in all aspects of life, reminding me to always be thankful for the love that shapes us and makes us who we are.。
