作为DS400产品的更新型号,DS3200和DS3400提供了更强的性能及灵活性,相信会成为今后一两年内的IBM低端存储产品的首选。

DS3200和DS3400均出自于LSI公司的Engenio系统(DS4000系列的大部分产品也是由Engenio为IBM协议设计及生产,去年Engenio被LSI收购)。

所以设计思想和结构与DS400(Adapter 公司设计)会有较大的不同,管理方式也会与DS4000系列较为接近。

DS3000系列均需要在自身上安装不少于4个硬盘。

建议先装上硬盘再上电开机。

DS3000系列提供与DS4000系列类似的带内和带外两种管理方法,带外管理的默认IP地址也与DS4000一样,控制器A为192.168.128.,控制器B为192.168.128.102。

本人比较喜欢采用带外管理,将本本网卡设至192.168.128网段后,可以ping通即可。

管理口长时间未起用时需要若干分钟的时候等待管理接口工作。

在本本上安装DS3000 Storage Manager(随机附带),注意该SM与DS4000上的Storage Manager为不同程序,不可替换使用。

甚至不能在一台机器上共存。

IBM X3650 M3服务器上RAID配置实战背景知识:RAID就是一种由多块廉价磁盘构成的冗余阵列,在操作系统下是作为一个独立的大型存储设备出现的。

RAID可以充分发挥出多块硬盘的优势,可以提升硬盘速度,增大容量,提供容错功能确保数据安全性,在任何一块硬盘出现问题的情况下都可以继续工作,不会受到损坏硬盘的影响。

RAID可以分为软raid和硬raid,一般中高档的服务器多使用硬件raid控制器,硬件Raid基于Raid卡,软件Raid基于操作系统。

单位新到一台IBM X3650 M3服务器准备做测试用,有一段时间没有亲自做RAID 了,所以自己动手实践一下。

看一下机器配置参数单,可以发现RAID卡支持RAID 0, 1, 5, 10。

一般当硬盘连接到阵列卡(RAID)上时,操作系统将不能直接看到物理的硬盘,因此需要创建RAID,这样系统才能够正确识别它,然后进行安装系统。

根据需要准备对这台机器做RAID10 ,具体步骤如下:一、启动机器,自检过程中会有<CTRL>+<H>的提示,同时按下这两个键再点击START,就可以进入WEBBIOS的图形设置界面。

如图示:二、点击Configuration Wizard,进入阵列设置向导。

Clear Configuration(清除配置):清除已有的配置信息,注意会丢失所有的数据。

New Configuration(全新配置):清除已有的配置信息,并且全新创建新的配置。

Add Configuration(添加配置):保留原有配置信息,并且添加新的硬盘到原有的配置中。

(该配置通常不会引起数据丢失,但该操作有风险,建议先备份数据!)注意:如果选择前两个选项(Clear Configuration 和New Configuration),会丢失所有数据!请先备份所有数据!如果是新机,就不用担心此项了。

接下来,我们选择New Configuration,在左侧单击选中磁盘,然后选择addtoarray把它添加到右侧diskgroups中,一个组中添加两块磁盘,创建完第一组后点击accept dg。

General Description
The DS90CR285 transmitter converts 28 bits of CMOS/TTL data into four LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signaling) data streams. A phase-locked transmit clock is transmitted in parallel with the data streams over a fifth LVDS link. Every cycle of the transmit clock 28 bits of input data are sampled and transmitted. The DS90CR286 receiver converts the LVDS data streams back into 28 bits of CMOS/TTL data. At a transmit clock frequency of 66 MHz, 28 bits of TTL data are transmitted at a rate of 462 Mbps per LVDS data channel. Using a 66 MHz clock, the data throughput is 1.848 Gbit/s (231 Mbytes/s).

(售后服务)IBM机架式服务器评测蓝色基因IBMX3650机架式服务器评测IBM服务器以Systemi、P、X、Z四大系列服务器产品线为主,于x86市场中Systemx系列服务器则是最受用户关注的产品,Systemx服务器系列产品基于英特尔至强处理器及AMD皓龙处理器产品,面向单路、双路和多路产品等服务器,能够满足中小型企业用户的需求。

本次评测我们收到的服务器是IBMSystemx3650服务器,这是壹款基于英特尔45纳米至强处理器的2U服务器,于x86市场中是绝对主力机型,凭借良好的售后服务和软件支持得到了广大用户的认可。

IBMX3650服务器外观介绍:IBMX3650服务器外观作为壹款2U经典的双路服务器,IBMX3650延续了Systemx系列的经典外观设计,黑色的前面板给人壹种沉稳、大气的感觉,彰显IBM不俗的产品气质。

我们本次收到的IBMX3650服务器标配了俩颗45纳米Xeon5405处理器,具有12MB二级缓存,前端总线达到了1333MHz。

4根1GBDRRIISDRAM(Chipkill)内存,俩块15K146GB硬盘组成RAID0模式。

六个3.5英寸热插拔硬盘位IBMX3650服务器提供了六块3.5英寸热插拔硬盘位,最大存储容量能够支持1.8TBSAS或6.0TBSATA热插拔硬盘。

于上面的图中我们能够见到热插拔硬盘支架采用了铝合金制作,即坚固又为硬盘辅助散热。

于硬盘架的面板上仍有EMI弹片,加强了服务器的屏蔽能力。

前面板独特的蜂窝式散热风格,为服务器带来了更大的进风量,“Systemx3650”的字样标注于面板中间偏左的位置,非常醒目。

于左侧的面板上我们依次见到信息面板,包括(由左到右)电源开关、供电指示灯、硬盘活动指示灯、系统定位指示灯、信息指示灯和系统错误指示灯。

指示灯右侧有俩个前置USB接口、前置VGA接口,指示灯下面标配了壹台DVD+CDRW 光驱。

信息面板打开后推住蓝色按钮就能够将信息面板打开,展当下我们面前的是IBM的光路诊断系统。
