The Laboratory Mill 3600 is a disc type mill designed to grind pellets, large sized grains like bean and maize and other products with low fat content. The sample is rapidly crushed between sharp steel discs and collected in a quick release sample cup. The disc design and the rapid grinding minimize heat development. Loss of water is thus virtually eliminated. Typical sample size 10-250 g for general applications and 10-15 g for grain moisture determinations.

Applications

The Laboratory Mill 3600 is designed to prepare samples for oven and NIR moisture tests of grains, pellets and low fat raw materials. Laboratory Mill 3600 has capacity to grind large samples in order to minimize sampling error of heterogeneous products.

Hardened steel discs

The particle size is depending on the disc type and the discs distance. The distance is adjustable and there are three different types of discs available: Type 1 — medium Type 4 — coarse Type 5 –fine

Laboratory Mill 3600 is delivered with type 1 disc.

Optional Mill Feeder

A motor driven rubber paddle Mill Feeder can be added to provide a consistent feeding of the mill. This improves the grinding of high moisture grain and of grain with the hull remaining e.g. barley, oats and rice. The

feeding of raw materials and coarse ground products is also improved.
