which typically includes dishes that symbolize prosperity, health, and family unity, such as fish (representing abundance) and spring rolls (symbolizing gold bars).
The New Year festivities are also marked by dragon and lion dances, which are believed to ward off evil spirits and bring about good luck. These performances are a vibrant display of Chinese culture, full of music, dance, and color.
Lastly, the New Year's Eve is a time for family reunions, with loved ones coming together to usher in the new year. This is often done with a family dinner, where everyone joins hands to wish each other a prosperous and healthy year.
