I believe in our future
Honorable Judges, fellow students: Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and support ourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The college students I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeply for each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth. Last week, thousands of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer.
As college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. We all face a fundamental choice: cynicism or faith, each will profoundly impact our future, or even the future of our country. I believe in all my fellow classmates. Though we are still inexperienced and even a little bit childish. I believe that we have the courage and faith to meet any challenge and take on our responsibilities. We are preparing to assume new responsibilities and tasks, and to use the education we have received to make our world a better place. I believe in our future.
我对未来充满信心
尊敬的评委，各位同学：最近，社会上有一场很激烈的争论。

大学生是一种稀有特权的享有者，在很棒的地方接受高等教育。

但是，我们能面对挑战而无所畏惧吗？我们能够改善他人的生活吗？我们能够承担建设祖国未来的重任吗？
怀疑论者说大学生是被宠坏的一代，一丁点挫折都受不了。

但是他们错了，我所看到的大学生正在努力的学习独立生活。

我们互相帮助打扫卫生，一起上街砍价购物，一起参加兼职工作来赚零花钱。

怀疑论者说我们除了成绩什么都不关心，从而忽略了性格的培养。

但是，他们又错了。

我们彼此关心，我们向往自由，我们珍惜公正，我们追求真理。

上个星期，很多我的同学去验血，为了给患血癌的孩子贡献自己的力量。

作为大学生，我们是处在人生分水岭的青年。

我们都面临一个重要的选择：怀疑人生还是相信自己，每一种都会给我们的人生带来重大的影响，甚至影响我们祖国的未来。

我相信我们的同学们，虽然我们依然缺乏经验，甚至有些志气，但是我相信我们有勇气和自信来面对生活的挑战并承担我们的责任。

我们正努力准备接受新的任务，用我们所学习的知识将世界变得更美好。

我对我们的未来充满信心。

Change the Ingredients of Your Life
This is a glass of water, tasteless, right? However if you add sugar, it will taste sweet, but if you add vinegar, it will become bitter. The same is true with our life the flavor is created by our choices.
If kindness is added to a strange you will have a friend; but if hostility is added, you will have an enemy. If love is added to a pile of red bricks you will have a home, but if hatred is add to those bricks, you will have a concentration camp.
So my dear friends, never complain that life is boring and the world is disappointing. If don’t
like the taste of your life, change the ingredients.
Three year ago, I weighed more than 100 hundred kilograms which caused significant embarrassment and frustration in my life. Like always failing my P.E examinations, like always being laughed at by girls, like being terrified to speak in public. It was my grandmother’s encouragement that revived from my passive attitude to become confident in myself. She said “My dear, if you can’t change you figure, why not treat it as your own style. So I began to cautiously employ the new way of thinking. By choosing to change my outlook on life, I developed the confidence to make a difference and finally I found a totally new world.
So my dear friend, if faith, hope, love, endurance are added to your life, you will find the confidence to conquer your limitation and embrace new challenges. And hopefully with my speech included, you will have a fantastic speech contest.
改变生活的味道
这是一杯白开水，平淡无味，对吧？可是加上点糖呢，他尝起来会有甜味；如果加的是苏打水，味道就会变苦。

人生同样如此——个中滋味在于我们的选择。

善待他人，你会拥有朋友；但如果充满恶意，则会多个敌人。

将爱赋予一堆红砖，你会拥有一个家；用仇恨来浇铸这堆红砖，就会铸成一座集中营。

因此亲爱的朋友们，不要抱怨人生乏味，世间无望。

不喜欢生活的味道，那就换一换生活的调料吧！
三年前，我重达100多公斤，这给我带来了很多尴尬和挫折：体育课老是不及格，总被女孩们嘲笑，更不敢当众发表意见。

幸而由于祖母的鼓励，我不在消极人生，而是充满自信。

她曾经说过：“孩子，如果体形无法改变，为什么不把它看做自己独特的风格呢？” 我开始这样来审视人生，通过改变生活的视角，我信心大增地去改变我的人生，很快就发现一个崭新的世界。

朋友们，将信念，希望，爱意和忍性溶入生命，你就会找到自信，克服缺点，迎接人生新的挑战。

The East and the West, Let’s enjoy the combination of the two cultures?
Kipling said: “East is east, and west is west, and never the twain shall meet!” But now, a century later, they have met.
They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts. Some people will argue that these meetings will leave us with a choice between east and west, but I believe that the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of both worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.
I love Beijing and Henan opera because it always reminds me of who I am. But I am also a fan of pop music, especially English songs. So I have combined eastern melody with western language. It is called western henna opera.
When two cultures meet, there may be things in one culture, which do not fit into the tradition of the other. When this happens, we need to learn to understand and respect the customs of another culture. Then there are certain things some people may not like. To this, I will say, if you do not like it, please try to tolerate it. To learn to tolerate what you personally don’t like is a great virtue at a time when different cultures mix and merge. Before us, there are two rivers, eastern and western cultures. At present, they may run in different courses. But eventually, they will converge into the vast sea of human culture.
Right now, I can see peoples of eastern and western cultures, standing side by side, singing the Olympic theme song: we are hand in hand, heart to heart, together we will shape a beautiful tomorrow! Thank you!
让我们共同感受东西方的融合
吉卜林说过:东方是东方，西方是西方，二者永不相聚。

但是一个世纪后的今天，东西方相汇了! 它们相聚在经济领域，它们相聚在教育领域，它们相聚在艺术的殿堂。

当两种文化融合的时候，试着去容忍你个人不喜欢的东西是一种美德。

在我们面前有两条河流，东方文化和西方文化。

现在，它们也许正朝着不同的方向流去。

但是最终它们将汇合到人类文化的海洋里。

就在此时此刻，我看见东方和西方的人肩并肩的站在一起，高唱奥林匹克主题曲:我们手拉手，心靠着心，共同创造美好的明天!
I Am Tripping My Elephant Here
Once upon a time, a weenie ant was walking on his way. As he was walking, suddenly he felt the ground shaking terribly. He looked around with his paranoid eyes and saw an elephant walking right behind him. Quickly, the little ant covered himself with dirt, but one leg was unfortunately left out. A sparrow saw everything, so she flew down with the purpose of teasing the ant: “Hey, chicken! Watch out your leg, it’s out!” The ant felt embarrassed at first but then calmly responded: “ Shi…I am going to trip that elephant.”
From all that I’ve been through I’ve learned that a good future is based on a forgotten past, if I want my life to go on well I have to let go of my past failure. So today, with out fear, I am tripping my elephant again.
我又一次在绊大象
从前，一只小蚂蚁在路上走着，走着走着，忽然感觉到地在颤动，回头一看是一只大象正朝他走来。

于是他很快用土盖住身体，不幸一只脚忘在了外面。

一只麻雀看到了一切，她飞下来想要取笑一下这只蚂蚁，说：“咳，胆小鬼，小心你的脚，露出来了！” 蚂蚁开始有些尴尬，但一会不紧不慢地告诉麻雀说：“小声点，我要在绊那只大象。

一个好的将来是建立在忘掉过去的基础上的，直到真正忘记过去的失败生活才会变的美好。

今天，我没有惧怕，又一次站到了大象的面前。

Hold Fast to Your Dreams
I have a dream today.
I have a dream that one day every vally shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.
Wow, what a dream it has been for Martin Luther King. But the changing world seems telling me that people gradually get their dreams lost somehow in the process of growing up, and
sometimes I personally find myself saying goodbye unconsciously to those distant childhood dreams.
However, we meed dreams. They nourish our spirit; they represent possibility even when we are dragged down by reality. They keep us going. Most successful people are dreamers as well as ordinary people who are not afraid to think big and dare to be great. When we were little kids, we all dreamed of doing something big and splashy, something significant. Now what we need to do is to maintain them, refresh them and turn them into reality. However, the toughest part is that we often have no ideas how to translate these dreams into actions. Well, just start with concrete objectives and stick to it. Don’t let the nameless fear confuse the eye and confound our strong belief of future. Through our talents, through our wits, through our endurance and through our creativity, we will make it.
Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. So my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. Whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today.
抓牢你的梦想
我今天有一个梦想。

我梦想有一天，幽谷上升，高山下降，崎岖之地变平原，曲折之路成坦途。

圣光展露，满照人间。

这对马丁路德金是怎样的一个梦想啊。

不过这个变化着的世界似乎在告诉我，在成长的过程中，人们却不知不觉把他们的梦想弄丢了，而我自己也有时会觉得在告别很多童年的梦。

然而，我们是需要梦想的。

梦想滋养我们的灵魂，梦想代表着我们被现实拉垮时依然具有的希望。

它鼓励我们不断前进。

大多数成功人士都是梦想家，同时也是普通人，只是他们敢于梦想敢于成就伟大。

当我们还是孩子的时候，我们都梦想过做一番大事业，现在应当做的就是保存好那些梦想，再度恢复它们，并将它们实现。

不过最难的是我们通常不知道怎样付诸实施。

那么，就从最具体的目标开始，坚持去做吧。

不要让那些莫名的恐惧迷惑了我们的双眼，影响了我们对未来的信念。

用我们的天资和智慧，用我们的耐力和创造力，我们一定会实现梦想。

抓牢你的梦想，因为如果梦想死亡，生活就成了一只折断翅膀的鸟再也不能飞翔。

抓牢你的梦想，因为如果失去梦想，生命就成了一块覆盖着冰雪的贫瘠的冻土。

Make Every Moment Count
One night, I complained to my mom about the lack of time. Finally she said,＂you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on complaints and anxiety. The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more.＂It is the same with filling the jar. Even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.
The lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. I believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,＂I did not have enough time.＂The fact is I do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. The point is I have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. No idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no complaint! It is during my moments of complaining or
hesitation that my destiny is shaped. Once I make full use of every moment, I believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.
Time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. As Henry David Thoreau said,＂You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment.＂
Whenever I fell the lack of time in the future, I will tell myself ＂Carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count.＂
抓住每分每秒
有天晚上，我向妈妈抱怨自己事情太多，时间不够。

她说道：“你抱怨没有时间就是因为你把珍贵的分分秒秒都浪费在抱怨和焦虑上。

关键是我并未触及生命的真谛：抓住，享受生命的每一分钟。

不要碌碌无为，不要耽搁推迟，不要牢骚抱怨！往往是在我抱怨和迟疑的时候，我的命运就被决定了。

而一旦我能善用分分秒秒，我相信我的烦恼也会被逐渐瓦解。

在我们所拥有的财富中，时间是最珍贵而又最不持久的。

正如梭罗所说的那样：“你得抓住现在，把握机会，在短暂的瞬间中寻找永恒。

”
如果将来我再发觉没时间的时候，我会告诫自己，“carpe diem (拉丁语)，抓住今天，抓住每分每秒。

Change
Leo Tolstoy once said, everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.
He is right. We always have great plans and dreams in our minds… too ready to achieve something grand that changes the world or benefits all of mankind .For example; we hate pollution and have made up our minds to find new energy sources that keep the environment clean. Yet we still litter on the ground. We complain about traffic jams, so we plan to build more highways to solve the problem, but it never occurs to us that our failure to follow traffic regulations is the leading cause of this situation. We are so concerned that the violence in the media has a bad impact on our children; we urge the government to set laws to protect them. But, do we, as adults, set a good example for our kids? We use nasty words and even spit on the ground in front of them, I dare to say, we harm more!
In my opinion, before we decide to change the world, we had better change ourselves first. As ordinary individuals, we do not have the power to change the world. But we can change our habit of littering, spitting, cussing, we can respect the environment around us, we must act as good models for our kids.
If each of us does all of these little things, all of us, millions and millions of individuals together, together we will be strong …strong enough to change our world!
So please, the next time you do something, think how your actions influence not only you, but those around you too, especially our children …and perhaps more importantly…our planet!
改变
列夫·托尔斯泰曾说过：每个人都想改变这个世界，但是没有人想到改变自己。

他说的很有道理，我们每个人都心怀伟大时志向，时刻准备去干一番能造福全人类的大事业。

比如，我们痛恨环境污染，所以我们下定决心去开发新的更高效更干净的能源来保护我们的环境，但是同时我们却随手乱扔垃圾；我们抱怨大城市的交通堵塞，计划造更多的高速路来解决交通问题，但是我们从来没有想过，如果我们能遵守交通规则话，那么这一问题是不是可以得到很大得缓解呢？我们担心电视电影里面得暴力会对我们得孩子产生不良的影响，于是我们敦促政府通过立法来保护未成年人，但是我们这些大人又做得怎么样呢？我们为我们的下一代做好了表率吗？我们说粗话，甚至在孩子面前抽烟。

不客气地说，我们对孩子的不良影响更多！
在我看来，在我们打算改变这个世界之前，我们最好先改变一下自己。

作为一个普通人，我们其实没有改变这个世界的能力，但是我可以改变我们随地扔垃圾，随地吐痰的坏习惯，我们应该学会去保护环境，我们应该为我们的孩子起好的表率作用。

如果我们每个人都能从小事起，那么千千万万个人力量汇聚在一起，那力量是强大的，足以改变这个世界。

朋友，当您在做某一件事情的时候，请您想一想，您的行为会对您周围的人产生怎样的影响，因为，您的行为不单单影响到您自己，还有您周围的人，更重要的是我们的孩子…甚至我们的世界。

No One Can Be Perfect
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. Today I want to tell you a story about one of my friends, a lovely and smart girl who is always ready to help others. Being our grade leader, she is good at both work and study. In many people's opinion, she is excellent and perfect. But one day she told me she was gloomy and insecure. People around her considered her outstanding and flawless, thinking she could handle everything. But the more she thought about herself, the more disappointed she became. She found that she was far from perfection. Last week, she didn’t do well in her French quiz, and the day before yesterday, she was late for a conference. She felt depressed and frustrated, because she failed to be a perfect girl without any mistakes.
I was surprised to hear that for I thought she had every reason to be confident. However, the expectation of perfection has become a burden to her. I told her no one could be perfect and I suggested she find her own position.
In fact, people are so eager to be perfect that they demand too much of themselves. They want to be special and unique, and they want to have no defects or weaknesses. However, we can never avoid mistakes and errors. It’s impossible for us to be a superman or a superwoman. No matter how successful we are, there are always some flaws. If we hold that everything should be perfect, we would be overcritical.
My friend now has changed her attitude. She accepts her shortcomings but still keeps a positive outlook. She is even more active and doesn’t allow the mistakes to hinder her pursuit of excellence. And I think that’s the way we should be！That’s all. Thank you!
没有人可以完美无缺
女士们、先生们，大家早上好！今天我想给大家讲一个我朋友的故事。

她是一个聪明可爱、乐于助人的女孩。

作为我们的年级长，她无论工作还是学习都很出色。

在很多人眼里，她是如此优秀，近乎完美了。

但有一天她却告诉我，她很迷惘和自卑：周围的人都认为她很优秀，完美无缺，可以对付任何事情；而她想得越多对自己就越是失望。

她发觉自己远不够完美。

上周她的法语测验考得不理想；前天，一个会议她又迟到了：很多事情做的不尽完美，
这让她很是灰心丧气。

听到这些的时候我很惊讶，我原以为她有充分的理由对自己充满信心。

然而，对完美的期望却变成了她的负担。

我告诉她，没有人可以完美无缺的，她应该找到自己真正的位置。

实际上，人们有时过于追求完美而且期望的太多了。

我们想要特别，想要独一无二；又想要没有缺点没有弱点。

可是，人是无法避免错误的,有谁能成为超人呢？无论你多么成功，总是有一些事情不够完美。

如果我们坚持要完美无缺，那只能是一种求全责备。

我的朋友现在已经改变了她的态度。

她承认自己的不完美，但是保持着乐观的心态。

她没有停止追求，反而变得更为积极。

我想这正是我们应该有的态度。

Never Give Up
“If I could reach higher, just for one moment to touch the sky…”---this is from my favorite song Reach.
When we are appreciating the passionate melody of Gloria Estefan, we could hardly imagine that she could return to the stage after her paralysis. In the year 1990, this Cuban singer was knocked down in a traffic accident, and the doctor declared that she might never walk again. But Gloria did not give up and kept up constant exercising. Just one year after the disaster, she stood up again and presented this encouraging song at the Atlanta Olympics.
Whenever I think of Gloria, I can’t help recalling my memory seven years ago, when I first entered university. Naturally shy, ordinary looking, average scores in study, just like an ugly duckling, I seemed to be the least outstanding one in my class. And the successive failures in the beginning led me into despair. “Am I destined to take the back seat to others?” Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more efforts on my study as well as many other activities, film dubbing, recital, drama… cause I just wa nt to catch every little opportunity to prove myself. Constant effort yields sure success. Thanks to the competition, I received some awards and most of all, I gained the courage and confidence to face any difficulties in my life journey.
Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Once you have a dream, don’t be hesitant. Your next difficult step may be the one to the top. Keep going forward, even in the toughest time, and never give up.
永不放弃

当我们在欣赏葛罗莉亚·伊斯特芬那充满激情的旋律，我们很难想象她能从瘫痪中回到舞台。

1990年这个古巴歌手遭遇车祸，医生说她可能再也没办法走路了。

可是葛罗莉亚并没有放弃希望，坚持做恢复训练。

在灾难后仅仅一年，她又站起来了，并且在亚特兰大奥运会上唱响了这首鼓舞人心的歌曲。

每当我想起葛罗莉亚的时候，我禁不住回忆起七年前我刚进入大学的时候。

天性害羞，相貌平平，成绩一般，就像一只丑小鸭，我是班上最不起眼的一个。

而且在刚开学时一连串的失败让我陷入绝望。

“难道我注定要给别人当配角吗？” 不愿意向这个命运屈服，我更加努力的学习并且参加许多其他的活动，电影配音、朗诵、戏剧…因为我想抓住任何一个微小的机会来证实我自己。

不懈的努力终会带来成功。

我从竞赛中获得了一些奖励，最重要的是，我从中得到了面对人生一切困难的勇气和决心。

生活就像是耕耘，一份耕耘一份收获。

一旦你有了梦想，不要犹豫。

你艰难的下一步也许就是通往成功的阶梯。

即使在最困难的时候也要勇往直前，决不放弃。

The Importance of Keeping Optimistic
Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, Good afternoon! Today I would like to talk about the importance of keeping optimistic. When we encounter difficulties in life, we notice that some of us choose to bury their heads in the sand. Unfortunately, however, this attitude will do you no good, because if you will have no courage even to face them, how can you conquer them? Thus, be optimistic, ladies and gentlemen, as it can give you confidence and help you see yourself through the hard times, just as Winston Churchill once said, “An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity.”
Ladies and Gentlemen, keeping optimistic, you will be able to realize, in spite of some hardship, there’s always hope waiting for you, which will lead you to the ultimate success. Historically as well as currently, there are too many optimists of this kind to enumerate. You see, Thomas Edison is optimistic; if not, the light of hope in his heart could not illuminate the whole world. Alfred Nobel is optimistic; if not, the explosives and the prestigious Nobel Prize would not have come into being. And Lance Armstrong is also optimistic; if not, the devil of cancer would have devoured his life and the world would not see a 5-time winner of the Tour De France.
A rose may be beautiful, or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only, and so does success, so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist, but if you are optimistic, then they are only episodes on your long way to the throne of success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Now I prefer to end my speech with the great British poet Shelley’s lines: “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Thank you!
保持乐观的重要性
尊敬的评委、女士们、先生们：
下午好！今天我想谈一谈保持乐观的重要性。

我们注意到，当在生活中遇到困难时，我们中的有些人选择逃避它们。

但令人遗憾的是，这样的态度对你没有任何好处，因为如果你连面对它们的勇气都没有的话，你怎么去征服它们呢？因此，乐观起来吧，女士们、先生们，因为它会带给你信心，帮助你渡过难关。

正如温斯顿·丘吉尔所说，“乐观者在每次灾难中都看到机遇；悲观者在每次机遇中都看到灾难”。

女士们，先生们，困难是存在的，但如果你保持乐观，你就会意识到永远有希望在等着你，它会把你领向最终的成功。

不管是历史上还是现实中，这样的乐观者总是不胜枚举。

困难和阻碍的确存在，但是如果你很乐观的话，那它们就仅仅是我们通向胜利之冠的漫长道路上的小插曲；与其说它们是障碍，不如说它们是桥梁！此刻，我想以伟大的英国诗人雪莱的一句诗来作为我的结尾：“冬天来了，春天还会远吗?”谢谢！
What College Education Means to Me
The title of my speech is “What college education means to me”. Now reflecting on the past two and half years of my college experience, I come to realize how much it has shaped me.
For me, college education is a marvelous ship-builder who designed me from kneel plates up.
With great vision, college education has equipped me, first with a powerful propeller----the sophisticated knowledge in certain field and wide exposure to other disciplines. By dedicating
myself to the engineering courses in the day and immersing myself in the rich banquet of the world literature at night, I’ve a massed the driving force for the future and enriched my soul.
Besides, college education has also provided me with a precise compass----the sense of social responsibility. How can I best serve the interest of the public while achieving my self-fulfillment? My one year’s experience as a part-time English teacher has testified: to be valuable to society as well as to find my place, I have to possess some actual strength and the ability to function well in the most challenging situation. Amid the hectic schedule that balances club activities, sports, and academic courses, I feel the rhythm and beauty in the intensity of my high-pitched life, knowing that I ’m on the right way.
And more importantly, college education has set up not only single ships, but also fleets with common destinations. By interacting with friends of common beliefs, I’ve acquired skills of relating to other people.
Now ,as a ship about to make my maiden voyage ,I’m still not in the position to tell what’s waiting ahead of me ,but with a powerful propeller, a precise compass and ardent companions of sailing in the sea of society, I’m ready to be a great sea-explorer. Thank you.
大学教育对我的意义
今天我演讲的题目是“大学教育对我的意义”。

回顾思索着逝去的两年半的大学生活，我渐渐认识到大学教育对我产生的巨大影响。

对我来说，大学教育犹如一位技艺精湛的造船师，从船头至船尾地塑造了我。

首先，具有远见卓识的大学教育为我装配了一只马力强劲的推进器；精深的专业知识及广博的课外知识给我带来无限动力。

白天我全神贯注地研习自己的工科课程，晚上则尽情享受世界文学所带来的盛宴，在此过程中，我既为未来积聚了力量，又充实了自己的灵魂。

此外，大学教育还为我提供了一个精确的罗盘，即社会责任感。

“如何才能在实现自我价值的同时最大限度地服务于社会？”我一年的兼职英语教师的经历证明：只有拥有过硬的实力和对高挑战性局面应付自如的能力，我才能成为一个对社会有价值的人，一个找到自己位置的人。

在协调着社团活动、体育运动和专业课程的忙碌日程中，我感受到了高节奏、高密度生活的韵律与美丽。

更为重要的是，大学教育不仅仅制造了一只只单个的船只，他还组建了一支支驶向同一目的地的大舰队。

在与志趣相投的朋友们的相处、融合中，我锻炼了与人交往的能力。

现在我即将作为一只巨轮开始我的首航，尽管前方的情况还无法预料，我却有充足的信心作一名出色的海洋探索者，因为我有强劲的推进器、精确的罗盘，还有一帮与我同行、一起驶向社会之洋的热心朋友！
I can handle it
I can never forget the summer in 1996. I went through an extremity of despair due to my failure in the National College Entrance Examination. It seemed that my dream of being a university student would never come true. One evening my father came and told me the story of Steven Callahan, who was crossing the Atlantic alone in his sailboat when it struck something and sank. It was a miracle that he survived and was found 76 days later (the longest anyone has survived a shipwreck on a life raft alone). Later in his narrative he wr ote these sentences “I tell myself I can handle it .Compared to what others have been through I’m fortunate”.
Hearing these sentences I felt something important struck me. I believed my life would mot be that bad and it was proved to be true. Later during my study in the university I always told myself “I can handle it” when my own goals seemed far off or when my problems seemed too。
