Title: Class Notes on Grade 6 English New Standard Edition
October 15, 2021
Today in our English class, we covered Unit 1 – My School and Unit 2 – My Friends from the textbook "Super Kids". We started with a warm-up activity where we reviewed some key vocabulary words related to school and friends. Ms. Wang, our English teacher, then introduced the new lesson for the day.
In Unit 1, we learned about different school subjects and talked about our favorite and least favorite subjects. We also practiced using the expressions "I like..." and "I don't like...". We did a group activity where we had to discuss our opinions on school subjects and share them with the class. It was a great opportunity to practice speaking in English and learn from each other.
Next, we moved on to Unit 2 where we talked about friendship and different qualities that make a good friend. We discussed the importance of trust, honesty, and loyalty in a
friendship. We also practiced using adjectives to describe our friends. It was interesting to hear about what qualities my classmates value in their friends.
During the lesson, we also did some fun activities like
role-playing conversations between friends and completing
fill-in-the-blank exercises. Ms. Wang encouraged us to speak in English as much as possible and corrected our pronunciation when needed. I think our speaking skills have improved a lot since the beginning of the school year.
Overall, I really enjoyed today's English class. The lessons were interesting and interactive, and I learned a lot of new vocabulary and expressions. I'm looking forward to the next lesson where we will continue to learn about different topics and practice our English skills.
That's all for now. See you in the next class!
