第一部分展览会一般概念与组织管理
Advanced order 指参展商抵达展馆之前对所需设备和服务的提前订购。

Exhibition services ordered prior to arriving at the facility.
Association booth 指一个协会组织在展览上租用的、用于向会员和潜在会员介绍协会宗旨和服务项目的宣传展台。

An exhibit booth at which an association provides information about its purpose and service to members and prospect members.
At-site 展览会现场，通常称为On-site。

Location of the event or exhibit. More commonly called on-site.
Attendance 展览会人数，包括参展商和参观商等展览会上的各种类型的人。

Number of people at show or exhibit.
Attendee 展览会参加者，一般指展览会或会议的代表、参观商和观众，但不包括参展商。

One who attends an exposition. May also be referred to as delegate or visitor, but should not be used for “exhibitor ”.
Attendee brochure 发给参观商或观众、吸引他们赴展览会参观的宣传材料。

Direct mail piece sent to current and prospective attendees that promotes the benefits of attending a specific show.
Audit 对展览会主办者发布的有关展览会参展商和参观商统计数据进行审计，一般由中立机构进行。

A verification of attendance figures submitted by show organizer. Can be done internally, but more likely to be conducted by an independent firm.
Booking 预定
An arrangement with a company for use of facilities,goods orservices.
Booth

One or more standard units of exhibit space. In U.S.A a standard unit is generally know to be a 10 '*10 'space. Booth area 摊位面积
The amount of floor space occupied by an exhibitor.
Booth number

To hold two related shows at the same time and in the same place.

An exposition that is open to the public. Typically, an admission fee is charged. Also knows as a “public ” show.
Contractor 为展览会组织者、参展商提供服务的服务供应商。

An individual or organization providing services to an exposition and or its exhibitors. Typically refers to either a general service contractor or specialty contractor.
Convention 泛指大型会议、展览或者两者兼而有之。

A broad term that can refer to a large meeting, an exhibition,or a combination of the two. Convention centre 会展中心
A facility where explsition are hold. Commonly referred to as FACILITY or HALL. May be purpose-built or privately owned.
Corner booth
拐角展位，它一般位于两个或两个以上入行通道交汇处，一些展览会组织者对这样的展位收取额外费用。

An exhibit
space with exposure on at least two aisles. Some shows charge premiums for these corners. Corporate exhibit 一种只对公司和整体情况进行介绍而不以促销产品的服务为目的的展出。

An institutional exhcibit telling the story of the company without intentionally marketing the product or service.
Corporate show 公司自办展，展出的商品和服务均是举办展览的公司自己或合作伙伴经营的商品和服务，没有其他竞争者参加。

A show produced by a produced by a corparation that is not a show management company. Exhibits are limited to products and service of that corporation or marketing partners; no competitors participate.
Demographics （展览公司）对参展商和观众的统计。

Characteristic that help crea a profile of exhibitors and attendees. May include company locations, job function, purchase intentions.
Demonstrators （展位上雇佣的）演示和讲解员Persons hired to work in a booth demostrating or explaining products.
Display rules & regulations 展览会规则
A set of specifications for exhibit construction endorsed by all mayor exhibit industry associations. Also refers to the individual additional rules which may be adopted by show management.
Distributor show 分销展，它由一个批发商举办，参展商为该批发商的供应商，观众是批发商的客户。

A show produced by a distributor at which exhibitors are the manufactures of products sold bu the distributor and attendees are the distributor 's customers.
Double-decker 双层展位（摊位）
Two-storied exhibit. Also called multiple story exhibit.

Company contracted by show management to provide electrical services to exhibitors.
Exclusive 展览服务独家经营权
Any agreement which limits who may provide services to an exposition or in a facility. A general service contractor, for instance, may have an “exclusive ”in a particular facility,meaning that no other contractors is allowed to work in the building.
Exhibitor-appointed contractor 由参展商指定或选择的服务商。

Any company other than the designated “official ”contractor providing a service to an exhibitor. Can refer to an I & D house, photographer, florist or any other type of contractor.
Exhibit 展位或展品。

Although the terms “exhibit ”and “booth ”are often used interchangeably, an “exhibit ”is actually all of the display materials and product house in a booth.

pertinent to an exhibitor 's participation in an exposition.
Exhibitor newsletter

An newsletter sent by show management to exhibitors prior to a show. It includes updates on deadlines, show rules and regulations, events, and marketing opportunities offered by show management, plus educational articles to improve exhibitors
'effectiveness.
Exhibitor retention 挽留参展商续展，指本届参展商继续参加下一届展览会。

Persuadeing current exhibitors to participate in subsequent events. Exhibitor retention rate is the percentage of exhibitors that renew.
Exposition

A display of products and / or services.
Exposition manager
展览经理，负责一个展览会从立项、促销到现场举办和各个方面的工作，也成为"show manager"或"show

Person responsible for all aspects of planning, promoting and producing an exposition. Also knows as show manager and show organizer.
Facility

The manager of a convention center or hall.

Horizonal show

A show displaying a wide range of products and services that are loosely related; for example, a computer show.
Hotel show

An exposition held in the exhibit space of a hotel.

Package

A term refer to a single-fee booth package offered by show management. Package mioght include, for instance, booth space, one electrical outlet, one table, two chairs and one hour of labor.
Peninsula booth 半岛展位，它位于展馆人行过道底端。

其他三面都是过道。

An exhibit at the end of an aisle, with aisles on three sides.
Permanent exhibit 长期（永久）性展览
A product display held on a long-term basis, etc.,museum exhibit, office exhibit, etc. Press kit 袋装展览会新闻资料
Materials, usually contained in a folder, in which news releases announcements and other materials intended for the media are distributed.
Press release 新闻发布会，在展览会新闻中心发布的有关产品、服务或展览会的宣传资料。

An article intended for use bu the media about a company, product, service, individual,or show. Press room （博览会）新闻中心
A room where members of the media may obtian exhibition press kits, conduct interviews, or relax. Larger press rooms contain typewriters, computers, phones, and fax machines for use by the press in filing their stories.
Producer 可指摊位设计搭建商，也可指展览会组织管理者。

Exhibit: An individual or company which designs and/or builds exhibits. May also provide other services. Show: An individual or company which manages exposition.
Public shows
又称"consumer show”，指面向普通公众开放的展览会，观众通常需要买票进入。

An exposition that is open to the public. Typically, an admission fee is charged. Also known as a
“consumer ”
show.
Regional show
地区性展览会
A show targeted to attendees from a specific geographical area. Maybe a stand-alone event, or a regional version of a national show.
Registration
登记/报到
The process of obtaining information from an event's participants, including name, company affiliation and address, plus any other information that show management choose to request.
Registration area 登记（报到）处
Designated area, usually outside the exhibit hall or meetion room, where registration takes place.
Release forms 指由博览会签发的、允许展品在展览会期间运出展馆文件或凭证。

From provided by show management to permit removal of goods from exhibition during show hours.
Rental booth 已经建好、供参展商租用的摊位。

Complete exhibit offered to exhibitors on a rental basis.
Security contractor 保安服务提供商
Company hired by exhibit or show management to keep individual exhibits and the entire show floor safe using guards, close circuit T.V., etc.

Show daily 展览会每日新闻快报
A newspaper published each day during the run of a show. It includes articles about the exhibits and events.
Show directory 展览会会刊，包括参展商名单、摊位号、展馆和摊位分布图以及一些广告等。

A softcover book cantaining a listing, with booth numbers, of all the exhibitiors in a show, a map showing booth locations, often, advertising.
Show producer
又称展览经理，“show manager”，故则一个展览会的计划立项、促销以及现场举办等各方面工作。

Person responsible for all aspects of planning, programming and producing an exposition. Also known as show manager.
Show office 设在现场的展览会管理办公室。

On-site show management office.
Show-within-a-show
套展，指一个有自己独立名称和主题的展览会，在另一个相关联的大型展览会内举办，作为其一部分。

A show with its own name and own focus that takes place withina larger, ralated event.
Space rate
摊位租金（以每平方米或平方英尺计算）。

Cost per square foot or per square meter for exhibit space.
Specialty contractor 专项服务供应商，为参展商提供某一方面的服务，如道具、照相设备等。

A supplier of a specific show services, such as photography, rental of furniture or audiovisual equipment, or floral decoration.
Sponsorshi
展览会赞助，指对展览会的某一项活动或服务提供经费以换取博览会主办者在展览会上对该赞助商的宣传。

Payment of the cost of a service or an activity at an event, in exchange for being publicized at the event.
Stand
展位。

这个术语在欧洲国家使用较为广泛。

Subcontractor

Company retained by general contractor to provide service to exhibitors show management.
Teardown
撤展，与"dismantle ”意义相同。

Trade show
国际上对展览会的一种泛称。

An international term for an exposition.
Trade show 贸易展览会，一般是针对一个或几个行业的专业性较强的展览会，不对一般公众开放。

An exposition held for members of a common or related industry. Not open to the general public.
Traffic flow

Advisory capacity 是一个表明运输代理在没有发货人同意的情况下不能对运输事项进行任何更改或裁定的专业术语，与without reserve 相对应。

A term indicating that a shipper 's agent or representtive is not empowered to make definitive decisions or adjustments without approal of the group or individual represented.
Affixed merchandise
参展商携带的、与展览业务有关的辅助物品。

Exhibitors 'products fastened to display.
Affreightment (contract of ) 其运输代理就租船运输事宜(包括船期和价格)达成的协议。

一般情况下，无论货物实际是否交运，货物发运人或其运输代理都必须付费。

An agreement between a steamship line (or similar carrier) and a shipper or a shipper 's agent / representative in which cargo space is reserved on a vessel for a specified time and at a specified price. The shipper / its agent is obligated to make payment or not the shipment is made.
Air freight

Materials shiooed via airplane.
Air waybill/ air bill (货物)空运单，在航程上可以覆盖货物从发运地到目的地间的国内、国际航空运输。

A bill of lading (B/ L) which covers both domestic and international flights transporting goods to a specified destination.
Alongside
作为一个运输专业术语，它是指船边。

“船边”交货是指货物置于码头或运输船只吊卸货物的滑车能到达的范围内，以便把货物装载上船。

A phrase refering to the side of a ship. Goods to be delivered “alongside”are to be placed on the dock or within reach of the transport ship ckle so th'atsthteay can be loaded aboard the ship.
Bill of lading (B/ L)

A document that establishes the terms of a contract between a shipper and a transportation company under which freight is to be moved between specified points for a specified charge.
Blanket wrap
不使用板条箱而是用毯子等装载、包裹起来的运输货物。

Non-crated freight shipped via van line covered with protective blankets or padding.
Bonded warehouse
保税仓库
A warehouse authorized by customs for storage of goods on which payment of duties is deferred until the goods are removed.
Bone yard 运输代理公司在展览场所拥有或租用的、用于存放展品空箱的仓库。

The contractor 's onsite area where empty crates are stored during exposition. Sometime called a DUMP. Bulk carrier 散装运输船只
A bulk commodities as petroleum, grain, or ores which are not packaged, humdled, bottled, or otherwise packed.
Breakpoint
断点，它是一种数量点，运输货物体积数量达到这个数量后可以获得价格优惠。

A document, required by certain countries for tariff purposes, certifying as to the country of origin of specified goods.
Clean bill of lading
清洁提单，是指由运输公司签署，表明货物在收到时外表状况良好，没有货物损坏或包装不良之类批准的提单。

A receipt for goods issued by a carrier with an indication that the goods were received in apparent good order and condition, without damages or other irregularities.
Consignee
(展品)收货人
Shipping freight to a central depot where several loads bound for the same destination are put together before being shipped to that destination.
Customs

The government authorities designated to collect duties levied by a country on imports and exports. The term also appliers to the procedures involved in such collection.
