the last eight years,Jo Meade rode her bike each Sunday on a16-mile round trip to her job washing dishes. It took more than an hour each way.Other days of the week she would spend two hours on three buses from her apartment to get to the other work, for a four-hour round trip. That was the“before”part of her life. The“after”part of her life was started by the community Police Officer Trevor Arnold, who delivered a used car to her with the help of a car dealer and other donors.Arnold, who spotted Meade, red and sweaty, riding her bike in the worst heat this summer, decided he would get her a car.He intended to quietly buy her a used car out of his own pocket so he turned to his friend Kody Slaght,a car salesman to ask about a car priced$1,000.That wasn't enough for a reliable ride, Slaght said, but the dealership said they would find a good car for her at a good price.Soon others were donating.Slaght and Arnold wouldn't say how much the car cost, but the value is about4,000.Arnold said he was motivated by Meade's work ethic(职业道德)to help.“I see a lot of hardworking people nut that's when they are at work. Can you imagine spending four hours of your day getting to and from work?”he said.Meade's boss said she was awesome and really reliable when she worked and she got along with others.“She's willing to rise the three buses to get in here on her day off if we need her too.”Meade said she was planning to buy a car,“but I haven't been able to afford it,”she said.“Trevor,he is a very good guy.I did not expect this.”(1)(2分)What can we learn about Jo Meade's work?A.It's free but Last year,Americans spent a record$12.8billion online between Thanksgiving Day and Cyber Monday. It's impressive until you compare it to the$17.6billion in sales made by Chinese consumers in a single24-hour period during2016's Singles Day.Singles Day is known as“Bare Sticks Day”or“Bare Branches Day”in Chinese-because the date “11/11”looks like bare branches and“one”is the loneliest number.Singles Day began in the early1990s in the dorm rooms of Nanjing University when a group of single friends were sorry about the lack of significant others and decided to mark the day by organizing activities as a group of singles and reducing their loneliness by buying themselves a gift. Then in2009,sensing a break between the sales period of China's National Day on Oct.1and Chinese New Year in late January or early February,Alibaba's Jack Ma saw an opening:sell to comfort lonely hearts. The first year did only$7.5million in sales, but just8years later, shoppers spent$25.3billion,or 168.2billion yuan, this year—a40percent jump from last year's$17.6billion.For comparison,Black Friday and Cyber Monday in the U.S.only netted$6.79billion in2016.Amazon doesn't release sales figures for July's Prime Day,but it's pretty safe to believe the not-quite-national-holiday doesn't come close to$25billion.“More than$25billion in one day is not just a sales figure,”Alibaba Group CEO Daniel Zhang said in a statement.“It represents the desire for quality consumption of the Chinese consumer, and it reflects how merchants and consumers alike have now fully accepted the combination of online and offline sales.”(1)(2分)What does the underlined word“others”refer to in Paragraph2? A.Roommates.B.Good friends.C.Boyfriends or girlfriends.D.Relatives.(2)(2分)What is the original purpose of China's Singles Day?A.To promote the online sale of goods.B.To reduce loneliness of singles in China.C.To create a holiday for all Chinese youth.D.To find boyfriends or girlfriends for singles.(3)(2分)China's Singles Day became consumers'day in.A.the early1990s B.2016C.2017D.2009(4)(2分)Which of the following words can describe Daniel Zhang's attitude to online sales? A.Optimistic.B.Indifferent.C.Worried.D.Confused.5.(8分)阅读理解Almost all researches in sleep explain that nightmares are a reaction to negative experiences that happen during waking hours. However, some of them believe that nightmares do have some real benefits. One2017study,for example, found that frequent nightmare sufferers rated themselves as more empathetic (共鸣的).They also displayed more of a tendency to unconsciously mirror other people through things like yawning.People who have constant nightmares also tend to think further outside the box on psychoanalysis tasks. Some other researches have found support for the idea that nightmares might be linked to creativity.People seeking cure for nightmares were not necessarily more fearful or anxious, but rather had a general sensitivity to all emotional experience.Sensitivity is the driving force behind intense dreams.Heightened sensitivity to threats or fear during the day results in had dreams and nightmares, whereas heightened passion or excitement may result in more intense positive dream. And both these forms of dreams may feed back into waking life, perhaps increasing suffering after nightmares,or promoting social bonds and empathy after positive dreams. The effects go further still. This sensitivity overflows over into perceptions and thoughts:people who have a lot of nightmares experience a dreamlike quality to their waking thoughts. And this kind of thinking seems to give them a creative edge. For instance, studies show that such people tend to have greater creative talent and artistic express. And people who often have nightmares also tend to have more positive dreams than the average person. The evidence points towards the idea that, rather than disturbing normal activity, people who are unfortunate in having a lot of nightmares also have a dreaming life that is at least as creative, positive and vivid as it can be distressing and terrifying. What's more, this imaginative richness is unlikely to be limited to sleep, but also is filled with waking thought and daydreams.Even after people wake up and shake off the nightmare,in other words,a mark of it stays behind, possessing them throughout the day.(1)(2分)What do most sleep researchers think of nightmares?A.They have no advantages at all.B.They make people more empathetic.C.They can promote humans'creativity.D.They are a reflection of waking behaviour.(2)(2分)How can nightmare sufferers probably stop nightmares in theory according to the text? A.Try to reduce sensitivity to threats or fear.B.Be more fearful or anxious to nightmares.C.Avoid excitement as much as possible.D.Promote social bonds and empathy.(3)(2分)What does the underlined word“perception”in Paragraph3mean? A.Awareness.B.Content.C.Intelligence.D.Determination.(4)(2分)What can be the best title for the text?A.The Solution of Nightmares B.The Benefits of NightmaresC.The Empathy of Nightmares D.The Tendency of Nightmares三、任务型阅读(共1题;共10分)6.(10分)任务型阅读Moving to a foreign country is an amazing,life-changing experience. There are some practical decisions that need to be made. For me,choosing to live with a French with a French family was the best choice I made, and here is why. When you're in a new environment with people you don't know who are speaking a language you're still not fluent in,you might feel lost, tired and homesick—I know I did. They showed me which buses to take to get to work, cooked dinner for me so we could eat together, and took me with them on trips to the beach, the theatre and even a bullfight. These were great opportunities to experience French culture and build relationships. They helped me feel more comfortable and welcome.Living with French people has improved my language skills.Being constantly exposed to real French conversation has allowed me to learn new phrases, widen my vocabulary and even improve my accent. My host family are happy to answer my questions and correct me when I say things wrong. The experience of living abroad is one that you will remember forever.Perhaps the friendships, like the memories, will also last. You might return for their birthdays, weddings, holidays, and much more.I hope to remain in contact with my host family long after I leave France because when I was away from my friends and loves ones, they welcomed me and made me part of their family.A.One such decision is choosing where to live.B.You can stay in your own space and privacy.C.Your host family might become your life-long friends.D.It makes me a better and more confident French speaker.E.However,my host family was wonderful and welcoming.F.A family can help you settle in,stopping you from feeling lonely.G.It's an opportunity to meet new people,a different culture and another language.

Then, you will assign different oceanographers to different projects and explain to them how best to work together.●Family-x fileYounger Xpeditioners: Pick one project, and learn more about it through its photo gallery. Then, create a poster based on the animals and terrain(地形). Make sure to label each animal that you draw. Show your poster to your family and describe to them what you have drawn.Older Xpeditioners: Learn more about each of the projects: Where in the ocean would oceanographers go to study them? What animals might oceanographers study in the project? Which types of oceanographers would you assign for each project and how would they work together? Finally, think about the ways in which the different general kinds of oceanography might relate. Why is it important to look at the ocean as an entire system, rather than as distinct parts? How might looking at each separate part and the ocean as a whole impact conservation efforts? Practice your speech for the Conference in front of your family.21. What is your mission according to the text?A. To save the oceans all over the earth.B. To attend the International Oceanographic Conference in Norway.C. To enter for an activity with one hundred fellow oceanographers.D. From Younger Xpeditioners.C. From the part of Briefing.D. From Older Xpeditioners.23. How should you prepare your speech according to the text?A. Practice it at home with the family in front.B. Ask a lot of questions about the oceans.C. Create a poster to get informed.D. Invite other oceanographers to take part.BI have been teaching the tenth-grade English for four years. Needless to say, I love my subject and vowed to one day impart(透露) my love of literature to my future students. Well, I must admit, I have made more than a difference. I have changed the way students perceive(感知) literature and have even inspired some to become English teachers. One student in particular is named John. I met him last year when he was a student in my English class during the eighth period. He sat in the back often, saying very little. However, I sensed that he was taking in all that I taught. John was never absent nor was he late. He seemed very mature for his age.As the year progressed, we read lots of poetry and various stories about different cultures and real-life experiences. I have always wanted literature to speak to my students so that they could find relevant connections which would finally give them that motivation to read, write and interpret. While reading and writing poetry, John wrote some beautiful poetry that spoke of his experiences as a black male in America. On the last day of school, students were asked to write a brief autobiographical essay and to dedicate(献给) it to someone he or she thought was significant in his or her life. John dedicated his essay to me and used clip art that decorated the dedication with roses. He stated in the essay that "some people you meet in life are flowers, but then there are those who are roses. Ms. Hopkins, Ijust want you to know that you are a rose in my life and I have enjoyed every minute of being in your class. You have shown me that I have purpose in life and that I am a poet. I will never forget you." Tears streamed down my eyes. I had had a particularly hard personal life that year and somehow that letter made it worth the struggle.Making a significant contribution to someone's life is something money could never buy. Teaching allows teachers to make a positive difference in the life of someone.24. What's the author's purpose to take John for example?A. To show that her students were all excellent readers.B. To develop her own idea about English literature.C. To prove what she had just said was true.D. To persuade her readers to change their minds.25. Why did John choose to dedicate his autobiographical essay to Ms. Hopkins?A. He thought she was significant in his life.B. He wanted to say to her that she was a red rose.C. He expected her to know he had enjoyed her class.D. He remembered she had promised to let him be a poet.26. What kind of person was the author according to the text?A. Gentle.B. Passionate.C. Humorous.D. Indifferent.27. Which of the following can be the best title for this text?A. The difference a good teacher can makeB. The friendship Ms. Hopkins and John developedC. An experience only Ms. Hopkins and her students could haveD. The significant contribution everyone can makeCZach Bonner knows just how far trying can get you. Earlier this month the eleven-year-old completed his biggest charity project to date. He walked almost two thousand kilometers from his home in Florida to Washington D.C. to raise money for homeless children in America. Zach called his project "From My House to the White House". He carried a message to the American president and lawmakers. He asked for help for the homeless children in the United States. The walk raised tens of thousands of dollars for Zach's cause. His mother says Zach has always enjoyed community service work. It began when Hurricane Charley hit Florida in 2014. Zach decided to help victims by walking around his area with his little red wagon collecting and giving out bottles of water. He got the nickname "Little Red Wagon Boy". Now, "Little Red Wagon" is the name of Zach's foundation. It has raised money for playgrounds and shelters for homeless children. Zach also gives out thousands of backpacks. He fills each "Zachpac" with a toy, personal cleaning supplies, socks, sewing supplies, a first-aid kit and food.Zach has won many awards, met several presidents and been on television. But that is not why he wants to help people. Zach Bonner says if you have a good heart you have to use it. And, he says, charity work is a lot of fun.Eighteen-year-old Christina Johnson and her older sister Geneva started their project, "Bring It On" in the Bronx area of New York City in 2014. They wanted to improve the place where they lived. The area was so dangerous that their parents would not let them play outside. The girls started a program to empower children in their community. "Bring It On" organizes environmental "jams" to clean up waste in the area. The group also holds classes and talks on health, leadership, how to set up small businesses and other issues. "Bring It On" receives money and other support from local businesses and other sponsors.28. Which of the following is NOT true about Zach Bonner?A. He had persuaded his mother to work with him.B. His walk helped raise a large amount of money.C. He won his nickname by helping the victims with a little red wagon.D. He enjoyed himself in doing community service work.29. Why was Zach Bonner's foundation started?A. To ask the American president and lawmakers for help.B. To win awards and appear on television.C. To have a lot of fun with other people.D. To raise money for homeless children.30. What does the underlined phrase "empower children" in the last paragraph refer to?A. Give children the power to do anything.B. Take control of children.C. Enable children to live safely.D. Stop children playing with each other.31. What can be inferred according to the text?A. "Little Red Wagon" and "Bring It On" are the nicknames of youths.B. Young people are leading the way in volunteering in the United States.C. The girls started their program to find lost children in their community.D. Christina Johnson and Geneva are making efforts to raise money.DCompanion planting is the idea that when some crops are planted together, they help eachother grow. The compatible plants generally have similar needs for nutrients, soil and moisture.Advice for companion plantings is sometimes based more on tradition than proof. But Fabian Fernandez at the University of Illinois says there is evidence for some combinations. These can lead to better crops, reduce disease and help with pest control byattracting helpful insects. For example, some kinds of soil bacteria take nitrogen(氮) from the air and make a form that plants can use. The plants keep the nitrogen in their roots. Legumes(豆类) are especially good at this. Any crops sharing the same space can get the nitrogen as the roots decompose(腐烂).Crops like beans and potatoes, carrots and cabbages, beans and rice can also share territory well because their roots reach different levels in the soil. Deep-rooted vegetables get nutrients and moisture from lower down, so they do not compete with shallower plants. But some plants placed together may harm each other's development. For example, tomatoes do not like wet soil but watercress does, as the name suggests. So you would probably not want to put them together.Even after harvest, some kinds of produce should be kept apart. Apples, for example, release ethylene gas,a plant hormone. It can cause other foods to ripen(成熟)too quickly. Markets often separate high ethylene-producing foods from those that are sensitive to the gas. But sometimes you might want them together. For example, if you put an apple in a bag with a green banana, the banana will be ready to eat sooner. Now what about peaches, plums and nectarines that are too firm to eat? Growers in California answer this question at . They say an apple,a banana or a riper piece of fruit is not needed. The peaches, plums and nectarines themselves release enough of the gas to ripen successfully. Here's their advice: place the fruit in afruit bowl or in a paper bag with the top folded over. Keep the fruit at room temperature. When the fruit is soft enough to your liking, either use it or place it in a refrigerator to stop further ripening.32. What are the basic needs for companion planting?A. Good old companions.B.Some kinds of soil bacteria.C. Nutrients, soil and moisture.D.Helpful insects.33. What does the underlined sentence in Paragraph 2 most probably mean?A. To some extent, companion planting relies more on traditional experience.B. In the field of companion planting, proof always speaks louder than tradition.C. Traditional experience is much less reliable than scientific experiments.D. Scientific researches have thrown light on the theory of companion planting.34. According to the text, which group of plants are not suitable to be planted together?A. Beans and potatoes.B.Tomatoes and watercress.C. Carrots and cabbages.D.Beans and rice.35. What can be inferred from the last two paragraphs?A. We should choose fruit from markets as often as possible.B. The peaches, plums and nectarines should always be put together to get riper.C. The fruit in afruit bowl or in a paper bag should be eaten as soon as possible.D. We should not place any ripening fruit out in direct sunlight.第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填人空白处的最佳选项。

The partnership is beneficial for both parties involved, plants provide carbohydrates (碳水化合物) to the funguses and in exchange, the funguses aid in gathering water and providing nutrients to its partnering plant.A study conducted by Rensen Zeng of theSouthChinaAgriculturalUniversityfound that this also allowed for plants to warn one another of potential harm. The study showed Broad Beans used the fungal network to spy on one another for upcoming danger.Like our Internet, this fungal connectivity is also full of crime. Some plants, such as Golden Marigolds have been found to release poisons into the network to slow down the growth of surrounding plants in the fight for water and light. Other plants, such as the Phantom Orchid, do not have the chlorophyll (叶绿素) and must get the necessary nutrients from surrounding plants.Research suggests that animals such as insects and worms may be able to detect slight exchanges of nutrients through the network, allowing them to more easily find delicious roots to feed on; however, this has not been conclusively made clear in experimentation. The more we learn about this phenomenon, the more our understanding of the plant life of our planet will continue to change. Perhaps one day, we may be able to map out these complex networks entirely.4. What is the function of the first paragraph?A.To explain the aim of the web.B. To introduce the main topic.C. To give definition of diverse life.D. To show the importance of plants.5. The criminal behavior of plants can be seen as a way to________.A. compete for survivalB. gather more waterC. take in sunlightD. break natural rules6. What does the last paragraph suggest?A. Animals can also feed on the fungus.B. Nutrient exchanges are too slight to detect.C. No experiment can prove the phenomenon.D. More needs to be done to work out the network.7. Which can be the best title for the text?A. The Partnership between PlantsB. The Unknown Roots of the EarthC. The Superhighway Linking the PlantsD. The Mysterious Map Changing the WorldCWhen Jennifer Doudna was in sixth grade, she came home one day to find that her dad had lefta book titled The Double Helix on her bed. She put it aside, thinking it was one of those detective tales she loved. On a rainy Saturday, she picked up the book. As she sped through the pages, she became fascinated by the drama, which encouraged her to explore nature's wonders. Even though her high school teacher told her that girls didn't become scientists, she decided she would. She worked with a biologist, Charpentier, to turn a curiosity of nature into an invention—an easy-to-use tool that can edit DNA. Known as Crispr, the tool will transform the human race. James Watson, the author of The Double Helix, later told her it was the most important biological advance: since he and Francis Crick discovered the structure of DNA.For this achievement, Doudna and Charpentier were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2020. Until now, only five women, beginning with Marie Curie in 1911, had won or shared the Nobel for Chemistry out of 184 award winners. When this year's prize was announced, Dr. Charpentier said it would provide a message specificallyto young girls who would like to follow the path of science and to show them that women can also be awarded prizes.A few decades from now, if it becomes possible and sate to edit DNA, should we allow parents to improve the IQ and physical strength of their kids? Should we let them decide eye color1 ? Skin color1 ? Height? After helping to discover Crispr, Dr. Doudna has become a leader in considering these moral issues. That's the main message we should take from this Nobel: New technologies can be a huge benefit to the human race, but in order to make sure they are used wisely, it's important for people to understand them.8. Jennifer Doudna decided to become a scientist because,__________A. her father pushed herB. a book inspired herC. her teacher encouraged herD. James Watson motivated her9. Dr. Doudna was awarded the Nobel Prize because,__________.A. she wrote the book “The Double Helix"B. she discovered the structure of DNAC. she is a hardworking woman scientistD. she helped invent a tool for editing DNA10. According to passage, which of the following is NOT true?A. The two women's success will inspire more girls to be devoted to science.B. Since 1911, there have been 184 people who won the Nobel for chemistry.C. If girls follow the path of science, they will surely achieve their goals.D. Crispr will make a big difference to the human race.11. Which words can best describe Jennifer Doudna?A. Determined and responsible.B. Ambitious and humorous.C. Cruel and indifferent.D. Fearless and stubborn.DAvi Loeb, a scientist, believes that we are not alone in the universe. The belief fits withLoeb's alien spaceship theory that at least one alien spaceship might be flying over the orbit of Jupiter, which won the international attention last year.Astronomers inHawaiifound the first known interstellar object in late 2017. It was a bit of light moving so fast past the sun that it could only have come from another star. Almost every astronomer on the planet was trying to figure out how the object, called “Oumuamua” got to our far-away part of the Milky way galaxy. “One possibility is that ‘Oumuamua’ is debris from an advanced technological equipment,” Loeb said. “Technology comes from another solar system just showed up at our door. ”“‘Oumuamua’ is not an alien spaceship,” Paul Sutter, another scientist wrote. He suggested Loeb was seeking publicity. Most scientists think “Oumuamua” is some sort of rock. They think it could be an icy wandering comet.Loeb says that “Oumuamua's” behavior means it can't be a block of rock shaped like a long photo. He thinks it's more likely an object that's very long and thin, perhaps like a long pancake or a ship's sail. Loeb says that if someone shows him evidence thatcontradictshis beliefs, he will immediately give in.Loeb believes himself a truth-teller and risk-taker in an age of very safe, too-quiet scientists. “The worst thing that can happen to me is that I would be relieved of my management duties, and that would give me even more time to focus on science,” Loeb says. He said he wouldn't mind giving up all the titles he had and returning to the Israeli farming village where he grew up.12. What does Loeb say about “Oumuamua”?A. It is an icy comet.B. It looks like a long photo.C. It is actually some sort of rock.D. It may come from another alien civilization.13. What does the underlined word “contradicts” in paragraph 4 probably mean?A.Goes against.B. Relies on.C. Turns to.D. Searches for.14. What do you think of Loeb?A. He is foolish.B. He is unsatisfied with his titles.C. He is a firm believer in scientific truth.D. He is uncertain about his career future.15. What's the best title for the text?A. Have Aliens Paid a Visit in Spaceships?B. Do We Really Know about Space Theory?C. Scientists Are Working on High TechnologyD. Astronomers Are Encouraging Space Travel第二节(共5小题;每小题2分,满分10分)阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。

I love it! It's too important for too many reasons.” The students elected Hailey as director, a position she accepted on the condition they would all work together and share responsibilities. They recruited Casey Griffith and Jennifer Nail-Cook to be their official faculty advisors. Casey did the paperwork, and Jennifer helped with the music. They directed themselves. Front and center on the band room whiteboard are a set of rules which they created themselves. In addition, they made a calendar (日历) of their upooming events, like football games. It included a daily countdown to each event so they'd be prepared.Perhaps most importantly, they decided which instruments were necessary to make a band of this size work. Most of them were drummers. How could they play those instruments with the people they had? “Several members switched instruments and some even learnt brand new ones," Hailey says. The time came last month for their first public performance. It was a home football game against Richwood. They had no idea what to expect. Would it work? Would the crowd cheer them on? Would they cheer up the football team? To their surprise, a group of students made posters for the band and hung t hem at the entrance to the football field. “We thought some people didn't even know we still had a band,” says Jadyn. Two scientists found that damaged trees began producing chemicals that made their leaves unappetizing and indigestible to discourage insects. The trees then sent chemical signals to one another through the air. Over the past four decades, scientists have observed this cell-to-cell communication in more than 30 plant species.Past research shows plants communicate with their surroundings by releasing chemicals known as volatile (易挥发的) organic compounds. One class of these compounds are released when a plant is injured: green leafy volatiles. These are released by, as the name suggests, pretty much every green plant with leaves, and are produced when a plant experiences physical damage. An example of these compounds is the smell released from fresh-cut grass. In the new study, Masatsugu and his colleagues manually damaged leaves and placed insects on tomato plants to trigger the release of various green leafy volatiles. After testing many of them, the team found it seemed to increase calcium ions (钙离子) inside cells. The calcium signaling is like a switch to turn on the defense responses from the plants. With this new understanding, researchers say plants could be immunized against threats and stressors before they even happen. For instance, exposing healthy plants to insect-ridden plants or the associated green leafy volatiles could boost their genetic defenses, so farmers use less pesticides. The revelation could also help make plants more resilient (有复原力的) during a drought, signaling the plants to conserve more water.8.What does the new research find?A. Trees can inform other trees of potential threats.B. Trees can make themselves attractive.C. Trees will send signals first once damaged.D. Trees will work together to trick insects.9.What can be learnt about green leafy volatiles?A. They defend insects.B. They kill insects.C. Some of them can be smelt.D. Some of them can be seen.10.How was the study carried out by Masatsugu?A. By protecting trees from insects.B. By classifying green leafy volatiles.C. By increasing calcium ions inside cells.D. By causing the release of certain chemicals.11.What aspect of the new study does the last paragraph focus on?A. Its target.B. Its process.C. Its application.D. Its background.Renewable energy sources can help combat climate change, but dietary choices also play a significant role. Opting for plant-based diets or lab-grown food can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the food system. We highlight the potential of dietary changes and the importance of providing choices instead of mandates (命令).Research shows that a global shift towards vegetarian(素食的) diets could cut emissions from food system by over half. Even small changes towards plant-based diets can have a meaningful impact. Substituting conventional food with lab-grown alternatives could prevent 1 degree of future warming. These findings demonstrate the power of dietary changes in addressing climate challenges.Dietary choices are influenced by factors like culture, religion, and economics. It is unrealistic to expect everyone to become vegetarian immediately. Respecting individual choices is crucial in promoting sustainable diets. By offering information and raising awareness, individuals can make choices according to their needs and values while contributing to collective efforts.Transforming industrial food production is necessary, but individual choices are still vital. Education and awareness campaigns can inform people about the environmental impact of different dietary choices and empower them to make informed decisions. Combining individual actions with systematic changes can create a powerful force for human health and the planet, Rather than expecting immediate vegetarianism, acknowledging the impact ofsmall changes is important. Gradual shifts towards more sustainable dietary choices, like reducing animal product consumption and increasing vegetable intake, can result in significant environmental benefits when multiplied across populations. In conclusion, addressing climate change requires multiple approaches, with dietary choices playing a crucial role. Offering choices while recognizing the challenges associated with dietary shifts is essential. By combining personal dietary changes with broader efforts to reshape the food system, we can make substantial progress towards a healthier planet while respecting individual preferences.12.Which is a dietary choice to reduce greenhouse gas emissions?A. Choosing plant-based diets,B. Choosing renewable energy sources.C. Giving the command for dietary changes.D. Increasing consumption of processed food.13.How does the author show the effects of dietary changes in paragraph 2?A. By answering questions.B.By listing a figure.C. By analyzing the reasons.D.By using a quotation,14.What's the author's attitude towards small dietary changes?A. Indifferent.B.Skeptical.C. Favorable.D. Objective.15.What is the best title for the text?A. Small changes in life choices can make big impactsB. Renewable energy sources can reduce gas emissionsC. Lab-grown nutritional food could prevent future warmingD.
