[名师点津] desire的名词和动词作“请求”“要求”讲时,与其相关的同位语从句、表语从句、主语从句和宾语从句一般要用虚拟语气,即从句谓语动词用“(should+)动词原形”形式。

类似的词还有:insist, request, suggest, order, recommend, demand, require, urge等。

1. I find that very hard to believe.我发现那令人难以置信。

(1)本句中hard to believe为“形容词+动词不定式”结构在句中作宾语补足语,说明宾语的性质;不定式在其中作状语。

该结构中的形容词常为表示难易等的形容词,如:hard, difficult, impossible, easy, convenient, nice, tough, pleasant, good等。

(2)在这个结构中,动词不定式中的动词与宾语虽有动宾关系,但使用主动形式;如果动词不定式中的动词为不及物动词,则需加上适当的介词。

另外,该结构还可在句中作表语。

①I find the air in the morning good to breathe.我觉得呼吸早晨的空气很好。

②We find Tom very difficult to_get_along_with.我们发现与汤姆相处很难。

③This kind of food you prefer is really nice to_eat (eat).你喜爱的这种食物确实好吃。

④We find the car very comfortable_to_sit_in.我们发现这辆车坐起来很舒服。

2.I saw she had tears running down her cheeks at lunch today and one of the other teachers gave her a hug.今天午饭时我看见她泪流满面,其他老师中有一位给了她一个拥抱。

本句中主语为I,谓语为saw, saw后面接了两个由and连接的并列宾语从句。
