• 因纽特人的祖先来自中国北方，大约是在一万年前从亚洲渡过白令海 峡到达美洲的，或者是通过冰封的海峡陆桥过去的。主要分布在北美 沿北一带地区。语言属古亚细亚语系爱斯基摩-阿留申语族。近海的主 要以捕捉海兽、鱼类为生，内陆的则从事狩猎。喜爱造型艺术，擅长 雕刻。爱斯基摩人属于东部亚洲民族，与美洲印第安人不同之处在于 具有更多的亚洲人的特征，他们与亚洲同时代的人有某些相同的文化 特色，例如用火、驯犬及某些特殊仪式与医疗方法分别居住社会以地 域集团为单位。首领多为萨满，行一夫一妻制。住房有石屋、木屋和 雪屋。房屋一半陷入地下，门道极低。一般养狗，用来拉雪橇。主要 从事陆地或海上狩猎，辅以捕鱼和驯鹿。以猎物为主要生活来源：以 肉为食，毛皮做衣物，油脂用于照明和烹饪，骨牙作工具和武器。男 子狩猎和建屋，妇女制皮和缝纫。已使用现代渔猎工具，并乘汽艇从 事海上狩猎，亦从事毛皮贸易。日益受到白人文化影响，在格陵兰地 区已有80%的人移居小城镇；出现贫富分化，美国爱斯基摩人已有个 别资本家。 • 属于黄种人，和印第安人是亲戚。都是万年以前从亚洲踏过白令海峡 的冰桥到美洲的，因为当时 是世纪冰河时期，海峡封冻，可以直接走 过去到北美洲。 • 因纽特人告别冬季、迎接春天到来的“春节”在3月最后一个周末。

【教学重点】学习关于北极天气和动物的词汇以及句型。
【教学难点】学生能通过听音获取正确的信息；能指认重点单词、句型以及语法；能与伙伴们学说歌谣，发现其他的不同文化。
【教学准备】关于北极天气和动物的图片、教材相配套的录音带和课件、视频。
【教学过程】Step 1 Warming up播放一段关于北极的英文视频，引起学生对北极动物的兴趣。
Step 2 Revision复习Unit 1关于接打电话的重点单词以及重点句型。

（一）知识与技能
1.能正确理解同义句型：There are no … There aren’t any …We are / I’m going
to … We’ll / I’ll … Can we …? Let’s …等，完成连线的练习，并大声朗读句子。
2.能根据图片听懂表示未来计划、打算的对话，并运用一般将来时的句型What
will you do? I’ll …进行交流和讨论。
（二）过程与方法
1．以小组合作与情景教学为主，运用游戏帮助学生理解与运用所学知识；2．指导学生通过听音获取正确的信息，掌握一定的听音技巧。
（三）情感、态度与价值观
本单元介绍的是冰天雪地的北极生活，同学们将走进北极熊的故乡，在这里，住着加拿大最北端的因纽特人。
生活在这里的人们有着和我们完全不同的生活！通过本单元帮助学生了解北极的气候特点和人们的行、住以及北极的一部分很典型的动物。

Step 1 Warming up
播放一段关于北极探险的英文视频，引起学生对北极地理风貌的兴趣。
Step 2 Revision
复习第三课时关于Nicola去北极的故事以及相关句型、语法。
Step 3 Read and match
1.学生打开课本到第19页，学生读句子，独立完成连线练习。
2.学生集体认读句子。
Step 4 there be 语法讲解
老师引导学生观察并归纳there be句型的否定形式，请学生注意此处will/ be going to的意思相同。
1.there be句型的就近原则
there be句型的就近原则也是主谓一致语法项目的重点考点。
there be句型中be动词的单复数形式由后面挨近的一项的单复数决定。
如：There is a pen, two books and many pencils on the desk。
在本句中尽管有钢笔、书和铅笔，但是由于离be动词最近的一项是单数a pen，因此，be动词用单数is。
2.there be句型的否定和疑问
there be句型的疑问句是把题目中具体的be动词形式提前，否定是在be动词后加not。
但是一般后面的名词前有a或any，那么此时not any或not a可以转化为no。
如：There isn’t a book in the bag. =There is no book in the bag。
关于there be句型的反意疑问句需要特殊说明的是，后面的疑问部分要用使用句型原貌，不能将there改成it或其他代词。
如：There was a meeting yesterday, w asn’t there?不能写成wasn’t it。
3.there be句型的时态
一般现在时there is/are
一般过去时there was/were
一般将来时there is going to be/there will be
还有there used to be；there must/may/can be等形式。
如：There _____ a basketball match tomorrow。
A. is going to have
B. are going to have
C. is going to be
D. are going to be
由于就近原则我们当然选单数，排除B、D，由于题目横线前已表明There，所以选C。
4.there be句型中的动词
there be句型中的动词根据需要，有时可以用lie / stand / live / enter / happen / remain / seem to be等代替be动词。
如：
There stands a tree in front of the house.
