大单元教学“大观念”“单元整体教学”是高中英语教育领域的两个热词,很多教师希望可以结合大观念有效开展单元整体教学活动,以此让学生梳理学科知识,挖掘学习深度。

一、大观念与单元整体教学(一)大观念大观念可以理解为从零散的概念中提炼出来的观念,具有如下特征。

1.概括性大观念反映学科知识,指向学科本质和内涵,可以展示学科的思维方式和核心观点。

2.可持久性学习期间,学生可以围绕大观念展开长期学习,不断加深对大观念的理解,并在品格和行为等方面长期受到大观念的影响。

(二)单元整体教学单元整体教学是指围绕一个特定的核心解读教材中一个单元的内容,并通过增删教学内容、调整教学顺序等途径重新整合教学资源,以及结合单元任务推动学生有效展开单元学习活动,以此帮助学生由浅入深地展开学习,建构单元知识体系,感知单元主题意义的教学模式。

单元整体教学强调教师既要保障单课时的教学影响,又要通过单元教学期间的多个课时发展学生的综合能力。

(三)大观念与单元整体教学的关联大观念与单元整体教学均重视引导学生挖掘学科知识点之间关联,强调对学生的发展产生积极而长远的影响。

同时,单元整体教学有助于学生理解大观念。

结合大观念的特点可知,单个语篇的教学难以让学生形成大观念。

因此,教师需要指导学生研读多个与大观念相关的学习材料,在获取学科知识的过程中逐步形成对学科大观念的理解。

此外,大观念也可以作为单元整体教学的核心,帮助学生更好地感知单元学习材料的联系。

受到大观念的影响,学生拓宽学习范围,主动收集与单元语篇相关的课外资源,进而拓展了学习的广度。
