[写作技法指导]

[文体指导]

本单元的写作要求是就某一社会问题写信给媒体陈述自己的观点，它应符合一般书信的格式。英文书信的构成可分为五个部分：

1．问候：通常以Dear开头；

2．介绍写信的意图：通常是开门见山地说清写信的目的，不需要过多的客套话；

3．正文：说清楚要表达的意见或事实，注意要条理清晰，言简意赅；

4．结束语：是正式的结束语，通常表达对收到对方回信的期盼；

5．落款：正式信件的落款要用较客气的词汇，下方的姓名要写全称，字迹要清楚。

(一)翻译句子

1．到家后仔细读这本书，我发现缺少了好几页。

I reached home and read it carefully.I found several pages were missing.

2．无论店员怎么说，但字典的质量差而且服务不好是很明显的。这对我产生了影响，而且也将对其他消费者产生危害。(no matter what引导让步状语从句)

No matter what the staff says，it is clear that the dictionary is of low quality and the service is worse.It has had an effect on me and will be harmful to the other consumers.

3．但是一些服务不能达到标准，而且店员的态度需要改变。(need doing)

Some services fail to achieve the standard.The attitude of the staff needs changing.

4．众所周知，今天的市场要求更好的服务。(as引导非限制性定语从句)

As we all know，today's market demands better service.

5．我们应当尽一切可能来维护消费者的权力和利益。(用定语从句及as well as) We should do everything we can to protect the consumers' rights as well as interests.
