一、课堂导入

What part serves as subject in each sentence?

A tree has fallen across the road.

You are a student.

To find your way can be a problem.

Smoking is bad for you.

“How do you do?” is a greeting.

二、复习预习

给出主语从句，分析成分：What she said is not yet known. That we shall be late is certain. It is certain that we shall be late.

三、知识讲解

知识点1：主语从句的概念及其连接词：

用作主语的从句叫主语从句，它是名词性从句之一。引导主语从句的连接词有：

连词that, whether；

连接代词who, what和which；

连接副词when, where, how和why等。

知识点2：连接词的用法。

1.【考查点】that 无意义，只起到引起从句的作用

That they are badly in need of help is quite clear.

他们急需帮助，这是十分明显的。

That they were in truth sisters was clear from the facial resemblance between them. 很明显，她们确是亲姐妹，她们的脸型很相似。

That one believes in oneself in doing everything is very important.

That he beat his opponent in the tennis game encouraged his teammates.

2.【考查点】what 有意义，“所……的”或随句子意思而定。在从句中作主语，宾语和表语。What the teacher said today was quite right.

老师今天说的话是十分正确的。

What makes her different from others is her strange behavior.

What she did is not yet known.

她干了什么尚不清楚。

3.【考查点】whether 有意义，“是否”。Whether they will sell the house is not yet decided. 他们是否卖掉这所房子还没有决定。

Whether it is true is not certain.

Whether he’ll come here isn’t clear.

他是否会来这里还不清楚。

4.【考查点】when 引起表示时间的主语从句，

意思是“……的时候”或“何时……”

When we can get rid of the rubbish is still unknown.

5.【考查点】where 引起表示地点的主语从句，

意思是“在……的地方”或“到……的地方”

Where the meeting will be held hasn’t been decided.

6.【考查点】how 引起表示方式的主语从句，

意思是“……的方式”或“如何……”

How we can get in touch with him is the most important. How this happened is not clear to anyone.

这事怎么发生的，谁也不清楚。

7.【考查点】why 引起表示原因的主语从句，

意思是“……的原因”或“为什么……”

Why he said that rubbish at the meeting puzzled me.

8.【考查点】who “谁”，whose“谁的”

Who will be chosen is the topic of conversation now. Whose handwriting is the most beautiful is very clear now.

9.【考查点】疑问词+ever 也可以引起主语从句Whatever was said here must be kept secret.

这里说的话都应当保密。

Whoever makes mistakes must correct them.

凡犯了错误的人都必须改正。

Whoever fails to see this will make a big mistake.

知识点3：常以it作形式主语的句型

(1)It + be + 形容词（obvious, true, natural, surprising, good, wonderful, funny, possible, likely, certain,

probable, etc.）+ that从句。

It is certain that she will do well in her exam.

毫无疑问，她考试成绩会很好。

It is probable that he told her everything.

很可能他把一切都告诉她了。

It is true that the Chinese volleyball team once won six world championships.
