3. Practice: make students talk about their clothes by asking questions like this:
What is/are your…made of?
It’s/They are made of…?

1. Look at the pictures and talk about the clothes and the materials by using the sentences:“What is/are…made of?”and“It’s/They’re made of….”
Step 2 General listening
1. Predict: Before listening, get familiar with the clothes. Ask students to predicate what Sandy and her mum are going to wear.The teacher will say: Here are some clothes.Can you guess what are for Sandy,and what are for Sandy’s mother?
2. Free talk: Talk about the clothes I am wearing today. Ask one of the students to the front,make students say his/her clothes out.And then ask students to talk about their clothes and their partners’ clothes.
2. To learn how to obtain and consolidate information from listening.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead in
1. Brain storm: Let students to say the names of clothes they know.
2. Listen to the conversation for the first time, and ask one student to do Part A1 on the board.
3. Listen to the conversation again, and ask another student to do Part A2 on the board.
Then check the answers.
Step 3 Further listening
1. Ask students to listen to the conversation with the following questions
1) What is Sandy going to do?
Task 1: XXX will go on a school trip to Yandu Park. Can you give him some advice on what to wear?
