摘要：PURPOSE:To reduce processing time by providing an area specifying means which specifies an original image reading area and a controlling means which responds to the specification from said means and decelerates conveying speed, compared to a case where said means does not specify under the original halting control. CONSTITUTION:The original handling device is constituted in such a manner that an operator can put the original with the front up on a resistor 50 and set it adjusting at the upper right angle of the device. For example, an area A-B'-A-B'-A is specified by pushing points A, A or B, and B'. For example,when copying is performed, trimming function and image transforming function operate, and a copy is outputted. Then a motor 19 is reversed and controlled by means of decelerating control, for example a PWM signal, and original conveyance is performed at the decelerated speed. Thus a copy sheet is selected by size data and copying operation is started.
