GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The SSD1075 is a PWM high-efficiency LED driver control IC. It allows efficient operation of High Brightness (HB) LEDs from voltage sources ranging from 8VDC up to 450VDC. The SSD1075 controls an external MOSFET at fixed switching frequency up to 300 kHz. The

4.2 BLOCK DESCRIPTION Voltage Reference
The voltage reference is a circuit to provide supply independent, temperature independent and adjustable temperature dependent (to select +TC, -TC or zero TC) reference voltage.

Oscillator
The SCR dimming controller converts the 50/60Hz SCR dimmer input into 6.4 KHz LED dimming signal and mapping the input SCR duty range to 0~100% dimming range. It makes sure the application of SSD1075 could support the SCR dimming. The LED lighting product with SSD1075 can be compatible with existing 50/60Hz SCR dimming lighting applications easily.

9 APPLICATION
9.1 APPLICATOIN INFORMATION
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
The SSD1075 contains all the necessary circuitry to build a linepowered (mains powered) constant current LED driver whose output current can be controlled with a traditional SCR dimmer.
OVERVIEW OF SCR DIMMING
A basic "phase controlled" SCR dimmer circuit is shown in Figure 4

An RC network consisting of R1, R2, and C1 delay the turn on of the triac until the voltage on C1 reaches the

rectifier. Figure 7c shows a typical triac dimmed voltage waveform after diode D3 (TP3) (Power Factor Correct circuit, VIN for SSD1075 ).

SSD1075 VIRTUAL LOADING CIRCUITRY
An external series pass regulator (R6, D6, and Q2) translatesthe rectified line voltage to a level where it can be sensed bythe SCR pin on the SSD1075.

D6 is typically a 5V zener diode which forces transistor Q2 to “stand-off” most of the rectified line voltage. Having no capacitanceon the source of Q2 allows the voltage on the SCR pin to rise and fall with the rectified
of LED forward voltage binning.
The current feedback isolation applcation could overcome the problem. With the feedback from loading current, the circuit could control the LED loading current accurately. This application could adjust its driving voltage for different LED loaing for the same driving current by itself.
