Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Jack who lived with his mother in a small village. They were very poor and had nothing to eat. One day, Jack's mother asked him to sell their cow at the market. On the way, Jack met a strange old man who offered to trade five magic beans for the cow. Jack took the deal and brought the beans home to his mother. She was angry and threw the beans out the window.
The next morning, Jack woke up to find a giant beanstalk had grown outside his window. He climbed the beanstalk and found a giant's castle. Inside, he discovered a hen that laid golden eggs and a harp that played
beautiful music. Jack stole the hen and the harp and ran back down the beanstalk. The giant chased after him, but Jack chopped down the beanstalk and the giant fell to his death.
