Stephen Hawking was born in Oxford,England on 8th January,1942.He went to school in St Albans—a small city near London.Although he did well,he was never top of his class. After leaving school,Hawking went first to Oxford University where he studied physics, then he went to Cambridge University where he studied cosmology(宇宙学).As he himself admitted he wasn’t very serious about studying. He was a very lazy student, and did very little work. However,he still achieved extremely good marks.

Based on more than forty interviews with Steve Jobs conducted over two years—as well as interviews with more than a hundred family members, friends, competitors, and colleagues—Walter Isaacson has written a wonderful story of the interesting life and intense personality of a creative entrepreneur(企业家)whose passion for perfection revolutionized six industries:personal computers, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, and digital publishing.
At a time when America is seeking ways to keep its innovative(创新的) edge, and when societies around the world are trying to build digitalage economies,Jobs stands as the best icon of inventiveness and applied imagination. He knew that the best way to create va lue in the twentyfirst century was to connect creativity with technology. He built a company where leaps of the imagination were combined with remarkable achievements of engineering.
Although Jobs cooperated(配合)with this book,he asked for no control over what was written nor even the right to read it before it was published. He put nothing off limits. He encouraged the people he knew to speak honestly. He said,“I’ve done
a lot of things I’m not proud of,but I don’t have any skeletons_in_my_closet that can’t be allowed out.〞And Jobs speaks frankly about the people he worked with and competed against.Likewise, his friends, enemies, and colleagues provide a true Jobs.
