21.(6分)Have you ever heard of agritourism where you can experience farm life? If not, Dr. Cindy Ayers-Elliott will tell you the real story of Foot Print Farms.
The original concept of building Foot Print Farms was simple. When Ayers-Elliott returned to her hometown after graduation, she didn' t have to look any further than her state' s alarming health statistics to find a mission. Everywhere she turned, there were reports of high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity and heart disease. “The problem was already identified." explains Ayers-Elliott. “Too many Mississippians were seriously unhealth y and it didn’t take research to see that. And many of the state' s greatest health challenges could directly result from poor diet. ”
These days,Foot Print Farms, which started with a few raised beds of herbs and vegetables, is making fresh, naturally grown food. "When speaking of the key to my success, the co-op model works because we share the work and rewards,” notes Ayers-Elliott. “ A perfect example is the Wingfield High School football team. To earn the money for equipment and other items, players committed to working five hours a week on the farm, and by the end of the summer they had produced 1,000 melons and the profits from their sales helped to buy weights,T-shirts,sweat suits and pregame meals. But the lessons they learned about the rewards of hard work and working together to accomplish something were even more valuable products of their efforts. ”
"It' s a model that can easily be learned in other places and I' m looking forward to seeing some of our current partners do just that——to take what they have learned here
and spin it off in other communities,"Ayers-Elliott remarks. She is now looking forward to developing an agritourism aspect to the farm, where visitors can experience farm life, learn new skills and take with them seeds of inspiration they can sow in their own communities when they return home.

(8分)Safety is a huge concern whenever I run with my earphones in. But I need 22.
music to run. Otherwise all I hear is the sound of my own breathing. So I’ve found a compromise: I run with only one earp hone in. The music sounds off. It’s an imperfect solution.
An updated pair of headphones, called AfterShokz, aim to do better. AfterShokz bills itself as using bone conducting technology to conduct music from the front of the ear, delivering sound through your cheekbone and inner ear. This keeps your eardrum (鼓膜) free to hear everything else.
“Earbuds (耳塞式耳机) are typically designed to block out all sound, which is fine when you’re inside. But when you’re outside, you need all your senses. It would be like
s ending you out cycling with a blindfold on,” says Rod Annet, managing director of AfterShokz.
Here’s where AfterShokz comes in. The headphones hook over the back of your head with the main “bud” resting high up against your cheek. This keeps your ear free to delight in other sounds.
So do they work? In a word, yes. During a 45-minute jog, they didn’t bounce or shift. I heard far more of my environment than I normally do: a nearby bike there; a runner passing me again to my left; and so forth.
What about the downsides? If you’re a huge fan of high-quality sound, you might find the headphones a bit tinny. One friend expressed concerns about missing the ability to get lost in the music as you might be distracted by other noises, although I personally didn’t fin d that an issue.
Yet those are all minor details. For me, probably the biggest problem is the price. Ranging between £ 49.96 to £ 83.29, AfterShokz headphones aren’t exactly cheap.
With all that considered, would I recommend them? Y es. AfterShokz headphones are quite useful. While out jogging, they were light, painless, and easy to use. They made me feel safer.
1、What is special about AfterShokz headphones?
A.They are a good choice for inside use.
B.They allow users to hear other sounds.
C.They can make music sound more beautiful.
D.They can deliver sound through your eardrum.
2、What does the author’s friend think of AfterShokz headphones?
A.They prevent users getting lost.
B.They deliver high—quality sound.
C.They often move while users are running.
D.They fail to allow users to enjoy the music.
3、The author thinks AfterShokz headphones .
A.are too expensive B.seem quite useless
C.make users feel pain D.are too complex to use
4、What is the main purpose of the text?
A.To express worries. B.To introduce a product.
C.To share a personal story. D.To complain about a product.
23.(8分) A notice at IKEA Shanghai has been shared widely among netizens on Chinese social media. It states that the stores cafeteria now requires customers to order food before sitting down in cafeteria seats. The policy is in response to an elderly blind dating group that occupies seats for a long time, consuming only their own food brought from home. Do you support IKEA’s new regulation? China Daily readers share their opinions with us.
Lee Xin (China)
The elderly are harmless. They are lonely and are probably hoping to find some company again. If anything, the store should at least sympathize with these old people. Mbursian (US)
This is more for socializing than for roma nce. I really don’t think a home furnishing store is a good dating place for seniors.
IKEA could also post a reasonable time limit per visit during peak hours. Or instead of tables and chairs, they could use those standing tables and get rid of the chairs altogether. At least IKEA’s cafeteria isn’t occupied by the dancing grannies and their portable PA systems (音响).
SEARU (Australia)
Romance is the most important thing while eating is not that important! So a noble man always leaves more space for seniors’ love affairs!
Mr. Qiu (Shanghai, China 65 years old)
We have been to fast food outlets like McDonalds, but there are barely any peers there. We feel like aliens surrounded by youngsters. If there is another place in Shanghai where elderly people can gather, we are more than ready to pay twice as much and travel further.
TedM (UK)
Romance can arise in many places, even IKEA.However, this debate arose as a result of many people taking advantage of IKEA’s generous drink offers and going there to meet and stay with friends without buying anything. IKEA is a shop; it exists to provide a service for a reasonable profit. It is not a public park.
Michel (New Zealand)
To everyone romanticizing this, please also consider that the store has an image to
uphold while protecting the interests of other paying customers. It is ugly to take up seats for such long durations while you make others wait.
1、How many people are in support of this new regulation?
A.2. B.3.
C.4. D.5.
2、What is the major cause of this new regulation?
A.Senior blind dates influencing their business.
B.IKEA has zero tolerance for romantic behavior.
C.The strong reaction of netizens on social media.
D.Old people eating their own food to save money.
3、People who are against the new regulation will probably agree that . A.seniors’ love affairs can contribute to the store’s image
B.IKEA is the only place where seniors can find their peers
C.the society is being too judgmental and lacks understanding
D.IKEA should not reserve a special area for the old people to date
