关于旅行的英文演讲稿1
With the general standard of living improvingand the working week becoming
shorter, more andmore people are able to make a holiday trip toplaces of
interest. While many like to join package tours fro convenience,I prefer to
travel my own.
I like travelling on may own not only because it costs much less but because it gives a great degree of independence and freedom. Travelling on my
own,I’m my own boss;and can decide when to start on my way, where to linger a
little longer and which spot can be skipped over to save energy or time for
another spot. I can always adjust my plan. On the contrary,in a package tour
you’re deprived of as much freedom as in a military base. At the sound of the
whistle,you have to jump up from a sound sleep and,with heavy-lidded eyes,hurry
to the gathering place where you are collected and counted to board a coach. At
the sight of the little flag waving, you must immediately take yourself away from
the scenes you are marveling at and follow the guide whose sole interest is to
cover all spots according to him strict schedule, regardless of the weather or
your health condition.
True, you may encounter inconveniences if you travel inpidually, for
instance, getting accommodations for the night and finding a place for meals. But
nothing can be compared with the freedom which is vital to a person who takes a
holiday trip mainly to escape from constraints of his routine life.
关于旅行的英文演讲稿2
College students, curious and energetic, love traveling; summer and winter
vacations provide them with golden opportunities to travel. There are two major
modes of travelling—traveling by oneself or traveling in a group organized by
travel agencies.
Those two patterns offer different travel experiences, with respective
advantages and disadvantages. For the solitary traveler, the greatest advantage
is freedom. He is perfectly free to choose his itinerary and plan his schedules,
thus he can visit whatever his curiosity leads him to and contemplate over a
historical site or a cultural relic for as long as he desires. The trouble is he
cannot share his perceptions and excitement with any partners. Moreover, it is
time-consuming and difficult to buy train tickets and look for accommodations
and in emergency situations an inpidual traveler is largely helpless. Those
problems are non-existent for group travelers because travel agencies take care
of everything. Within a group, people who used to be strangers soon become friends. However, the fixed itineraries and tight schedule prevent travelers
from satiating their inpidual curiosities. In addition, tourists are often
subjected to forced shopping by tour guides who are more concerned with securing
commissions than providing services.
My solution to these two imperfect modes of traveling is to travel with
friends or classmates. This pattern incorporates most of their advantages while
avoiding all their disadvantages. I am convinced this is the best and most
sensible form of traveling which everybody should adopt.
关于旅行的英文演讲稿3
My sister was fond of traveling. Ever since graduating, she had been
determined to organize a trip to an old temple. Since transporting fare was
expensive, she decided to use a bicycle to cycle there not caring about the
disadvantages. Her stubborn attitude was always her shortcoming. Once she made
up her mind to do something, no one could persuade her to change her mind.
Finally, we gave in as usual though we preferred to take a train. After we
prepared everything, including the schedule, reliable weather forecast and the
insurance, we began our trip.
Our journey was along a river flowing from a high altitude. Our pace was
slow because the river frequently had many sharp bends through deep valleys,
where the water seemed to boil. Just as I recorded in my journal, it was really
a hard journey. But we also enjoyed great views. One night, I put my head on my
pillow--a parcel of wool coats, and lay beneath the stars. When the flame in
front of our cave went out at midnight, I found the sky so beautiful!

Have been a travelling by train for about 3h, the journey was tiring. I
arrived in our provinces capital city-Nanning,a green city in south China.
I met Mrs.Long, then she showed me around the downtown including
Walmart,Xingning walking street, the bund, ect. There is a drinks machine in the
street that offers passers by free drinkable water. They had the same thing in
my city, but people used the water to wash their hands which ruined the
machines. On the contrary, Ningningese tend to protect every piece of public
property. When a little boy wanted to wash his hands, his mother stopped him
immediately and told him,‰ you should not use the water to wash your hands, the
water is for drinking.‰
In the evening I walked to see the Guangxi Peoples Hall and Mendzhidao
shopping mall. The next day,I cycled to Langdong new district where the Nanning
international exhibition is located. The exhibition is built for CAEXPO. The
bike broke during my way back, but a student from Guangxi University kindly gave
me a lift. On the last day i got up early to go to Qingxiushan Park.
There I enjoyed the scenery and prayed to the buddhas for my future.
