英语口语小作文gay marriage
My view on gay marriage
My view on gay marriageI saw a gay couple in TV series of Modern Family. Prior to the admission to SHOU, I don't even know what gay really mean. Especially, in china, no one dare to admit he/she is gay/lesbian. I am told there are several gay couple in our campus. People are talking behind them secretly. I guess if that is true, they must have undergone a lot of pressure. Love is such a romantic thing between two of them, but what if they are judged differently. Gay couples were under a lot of pressure in many countries. In May 2004, gay marriage became legal in Massachusetts. But it remains a divisive and contentious issue across America. Gay people have posed a lot questions before this law carried out. From then on, another 4 states in American has legalized the same-sex marriage. In my perspective, they are several reasons why people are opposing gay marriage.Firstly, people are not comfortable with this idea. The fact the people aren't comfortable with the idea stems primarily from the fact that for many years, society has promoted the idea that a marriage between members of the same sex is ridiculous, mainly because the majority hold the objections But if those objections don't make sense, neither does the idea that gay marriage is necessarily ridiculous. Societies have long recognized that allowing civil rights to certain groups may offend some, and at times, even the majority. But that is why constitutional government was established -- to ensure that powerless, unpopular minorities are still protected from the tyranny of the majority.Secondly, it offends everything religion stands for. Whose religion? Many mainstream Christian denominations, to be sure, and definitely most branches of Islam and Orthodox Judaism, but outside those, most religions are unopposed to gay marriage and many actually favor it.Thirdly, Marriage is a sacred institution and gay marriage violates that sanctity. This is, of course, related to the motive above. But it is really subtly different. It's based on the assumption that the state has the responsibility to "sanctify" marriages - a fundamentally religious idea. It would seem to me that anyone who feels that the sanctity of their marriage is threatened by a gay couple down the street having the right to marry is mighty insecure about their religion anyway. What’s more,They might recruit. The core cause of this fear is the result of the fact that most virulent, even violent homophobes are themselves repressed sexually, often with same sex attractions. One of the recent studies done at the University of Georgia among convicted killers of gay men has shown that the overwhelmingly large percentage of them exhibit sexual arousal when shown scenes of gay sex. The fear, then, for the homophobe is that he himself might be gay, and might be forced to face that fact. The homophobia is as internalized as it is externalized - bash the queer and you don't have to worry about being aroused by him.The fear of recruitment is baseless because it is based on a false premise - whichgay people recruit. We don't. We don't recruit because we know from our own experience that sexual orientation is inborn, and can't be changed to any significant degree. Indeed, the attempts by psychologists, counselors and religious therapy and support groups to change sexual orientation have all uniformly met with failure - the studies that have been done of these therapies have never shown any significant results, and usually create psychological damage in the process, which is why they are uniformly condemned by mental health professional associations. So the notion that someone can be changed from straight to gay is quite unlikely. Yet there remains that deep, dark fear that somehow, someone might be.Lastly,Gay marriage would legitimize homosexuality. This presumes that homosexuality is anything other than simply a normal variation of human development. The reality is that every mental health association has recognized that homosexuality is a perfectly normal variation on how humans develop, and there is now a substantial body of evidence from science that there are sound reasons why it has evolved, and why it is not selected against in evolutionary pressure. It is not perverted, it does not degrade human culture, and it is not a threat to humankind in any way. All those stereotypes, long cultivated by homophobes, have been disproven both by experience and by scientific research, but that does not prevent the homophobe from holding to them dearly. And allowing state sanction in the form of marriage, threatens the stereotype by undermining the justification for it.At the end of the day, the opposition to gay marriage stems ultimately from a deep-seated homophobia in American culture, borne almost entirely out of religious prejudice. While many Americans do not realize that that homophobia exists to the extent that it does, it is a very real part of every gay person's life, just like racism is a very real part of every black person's life. It is there, it is pervasive, and it has far more serious consequences for American society than most Americans realize, not just for gay people, but for society in general.。
A survey about gay marriage
A survey about gay marriageNowadays, more and more nations start to allow the gay marriage. I think that in our country, there are many gays. To address this issue. I called on the people around me. But it is just because he is poor. In accordance with the result I used a pie chart to display the results.Next, according to the statistics and pie chart I found that most people around me can't accept gay marriage completely, because they think gay marriage is not a normal physical and psychological performance. There are only very few people who can accept it. Of course there forty-two over one hundred of people hold the neutral attitude. Finally I saw the online survey. Comparing with my survey results, I found that there are many differences between my results and the online results. From the online survey results, there are 48 percent people saying that they can accept the gay marriage. Only have 10 percent of the people said that they can't accept the gay marriage. Other people maintained a neutral stance. This makes me very surprised. What leads to thisresult? In my opinion, different people have different opinions towards this issue. We only say everyone has their own point of view.。
英文同性结婚作文
英文同性结婚作文Same-sex marriage is a basic human right. Love is love, no matter the gender. Everyone should have the right to marry the person they love, regardless of their sexual orientation.Legalizing same-sex marriage is a step towards equality and acceptance. It sends a powerful message that all loveis valid and deserving of recognition and respect.Marriage is not just about love, it's also about legal rights and protections. Same-sex couples should have the same legal rights and benefits as heterosexual couples, including the right to make medical decisions for their partners and the right to inherit property.Opponents of same-sex marriage often cite religious reasons for their opposition. However, marriage is a civil institution, and religious beliefs should not dictate who can and cannot get married in the eyes of the law.Same-sex marriage has a positive impact on society as a whole. It promotes inclusivity and diversity, and it provides a sense of validation and acceptance for LGBTQ+ individuals. It's important to recognize that legalizing same-sex marriage is just one step towards achieving full equality for LGBTQ+ individuals. There is still work to be done to combat discrimination and ensure that everyone, regardless of sexual orientation, can live their lives free from fear and prejudice.。
gay marriage 作文
Gay MarriageIn recent years, the debate over same-sex marriage has grown from an issue that occasionally arose in a few states to a nationwide controversy, reverberating in the halls of Congress, at the White House, in dozens of state legislatures and courtrooms, and in the rhetoric of election campaigns at both the national and state levels.Same-sex marriage is a civil rights, political, social, moral, and religious issue in many nations. The conflicts arise over whether same-sex couples should be allowed to enter into marriage, be required to use a different status, or not have any such rights. For my part, although I will never become a lesbian, I support the same-sex marriage, because love is a natural and free thing, same-sex couples should have the equal rights as opposite-sex couples.According to a survey, nearly seventy percent of people in the U.S. oppose gay marriage, almost the same proportion as are otherwise supportive of gay rights. This means that many of the same people who are even passionately in favor of gay rights but also oppose gays on this one issue. There are some reasons why people cannot accept homosexuality.First, people have a conventional idea that marriage is an institution between one man and one woman. But now, the definition of "marriage" is changed. Marriage has no boundaries of nation, race, age and even sex.It seems to me that if the straight community cannot show a compelling reason to deny the institution of marriage to gay people, it shouldn't be denied.People may say same-sex marriage would threaten the institution of marriage. I think it's not. If you allow gay people to marry each other, you no longer encourage them to marry people to whom they feel little attraction, and thereby reduce the number of supposed heterosexual marriages that end up in the divorce courts. There are also many people who think marriage is for procreation. Procreation maybe an important part of marriage, but not whole absolutely. If that's the case, the infertile couples are not allowed to marry. People may also argue that same-sex couples aren't the optimum environment in which to raise children. But the fact is that many gay couples raise children adopted from heterosexual marriages because of their failed attempts. Lots and lots of scientific studies have shown that the outcomes of the children raised in the homes of gay and lesbian couples are just as good as those of straight couples. Psychologists tell us that what makes the difference is the love of the parents, not their gender. The studies are very clear about that gay people are as capable of loving children as fully as anyone else.Same-sex marriage is an untried social experiment. The American critics of same-sex marriage betray their provincialism with this argument. The fact is that a form of gay marriage has been legal in Denmark since 1989 (full marriage rights except for adoption rights and church weddings, and a proposal now exists in the Danish parliament to allow both of those rights as well), and most of the rest of Scandinavia from not long after. A survey conducted at the time revealed that 72 percent of Danish clergy were opposed to the law. But the change in the attitude of the clergy there has been dramatic——a survey conducted in 1995 indicated that 89 percent of the Danish clergy now admit that the law is a good one and has had many beneficial effects, including a reduction in suicide, a reduction in the spread of sexually transmitted diseases and in promiscuity and infidelity among gays. So perhaps we should accept the fact that someone else has already done the "experiment" and accept the results as positive. In addition to what I have listed, there are other arguments on this issue, like homosexuality would undermine civilization. In my opinion, civilization is concerned with culture or spiritual outlook of our people, not who you marriage. As we have seen, the debate on gay marriage will be go on. So let's get on with it. Let's get over our aversion to what we oppose for silly, irrational reasons, based on ignorance and faulty assumptions, and make ours a more just and honorable society, finally honoring that last phrase from the Pledge of Allegance "With liberty and justice for all."。

同性恋英文演讲稿
同性恋英文演讲稿篇一:关于同性恋话题的英语演讲稿As we all know, famous Chinese director Ang lee said,"Everybody has a Brokeback Mountain in the heart."Homosexuality is the romantic or sexual attraction or behavior among members of the same sex.In the modern society, they suffer from the social norms of pressure, such as family, marriage, love and sex ,they also suffer from the misunderstanding of the crowd, prejudice and feeling and life can not get social support.Gay bashing is rare in modern China. The authorities do not actively promote gay issues in China. Although there is no law against homosexuality or same-sex acts between consenting adults, neither are there laws requiring people to accept individuals who engage in gay acts, and there are also no gay organizations in China. It is believed that the Chinese policy towards the gay issue remains the "Three Nos": no approval, no disapproval, and no promotion. In fact,no body knows whom he will love when he was born ,of course includes the sexuality. They were justtold and teached they can only love the opposite sex person. No matter you love boy or girl, the same sex or different sex, it’s nature. No one have the right to command your choice or deny your love."love" is very valuable, and we should be the equal point of view, understanding of "love" is everyone has the right to pursue, regardless of homosexual or love doesn't rightly or gay people, is normal people, their feelings also worthy of respect, also need to eulogize. Our society should be more should take the most common, ordinary attitude towards and accept it,so we can not discriminate they are also have their own emotion and make contribution to the course, homosexuality also should pay attention to prevent the spread of AIDS.Now I just want to say : everything that exists is rewarding and blessing for course, I'm not a you.篇二:英语口语演讲稿_关于同性恋的On NOV 20,XX ,a special wedding was held in a bar of Changzhou ,Jiangsu Province. The groom named Zangzhen was about 40 years old while the bridge named Yingzi was just about 20. Look at these picture, youcan guess it was a gay wedding ceremony. YES, it’s really a gay wedding. They exchanged their rings and done just as normal weddings. After the wedding, the couple became focus in gay area most because this was the first public gay wedding in Jiangsu and we were moved by their courage and determination, including me. So here, my topic is homosexuality.Homosexuality is defined as :a person who are interested in the same genders psychologically and physically, no matter whether such interest are reflected by real action. There are two factors that influence our sexual orientation. One is gene and the other is the environment surround us. That is to say, a change of gene may change our sexual orientation, and also a change of surroundings or sufferings. In china, there are special calls for homosexuality .Male homosexuality are called gay、tongzhi、duanbei、boli, female homosexuality are called lala、LES、lesebian. In recent years, more and more special clubs、bars and websites for homosexuality emerged. According toan international survey, the proportion of homosexuality reaches 2% to 5% in the whole population. Based on this , there are about 26 million to 65 million same gender lovers in china. Here are some famous homosexers. (Leonardo da Vinci longyang ). In a TV series called xunqingji, longyangjun is a gay. And zhangguorong, perhaps he is the most famous gay in china. But of course he was talent and one of the most excellent some famous movies involves homosexuality. In Chinese 《霸王别姬》1993年《蓝宇》XX年《断臂山》XX年So How to deal with homosexuality. Societal attitudes toward homosexuality vary greatly in different cultures and different historical periods. All cultures have their own values regarding appropriate and inappropriate sexuality; some sanction same-sex love, while others disapprove of such activities. The XX Pew Global Attitudes Project: "Should homosexuality be accepted by society"People in Africa and the Middle East strongly object to societal acceptance of homosexuality. But there is far greater tolerance for homosexuality inmajor Latin American countries such as Mexico and Brazil. Majorities in every Western European nation surveyed say homosexuality should be accepted by society. Americans are divided –49% accept while 41% disagree.World homosexuality lawsIn 1989, Denmark became the first country where homosexuality was legal. Then some countries began to acknowledge same sex marriage。
Gay marriage sample essay
Most people believe that they deserve the rights they are granted by the government. An upstanding citizen who pays their taxes, serves their community and abides by the law should be afforded the rights of an American. However, not all citizens are afforded equal rights. Gay and lesbians are consistently denied rights that are typically taken for granted by the average American. Specifically, gay and lesbians couples are denied the right to marry even if they are upstanding citizens. They are held at an unfair disadvantage solely because of their sexual orientation. This discrimination must stop because gay and lesbian couples are law-abiding citizens too, who should be afforded the same rights as heterosexual couples. One common problem that plagues gay and lesbian couples that are denied the right to marry is their inability to claim their partner’s social security after he or she has died. The Human Rights Campaign, which work to achieve equal rights for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender people, is supporting the effort to attain survivor benefits for domesticate partners. They believe, “Any alteration to the Social Security system must include partners of gays and lesbians in its definition of survivor”(Survivor Benefits 1). Currently, there are no programs that give homosexuals survivor benefits like the ones that are provided for heterosexuals who are married or divorced. Gay and lesbian partners are not able to claim benefits of their deceased, regardless of the fact that all working citizens heterosexual or homosexual pay into the Social Security system for survivor benefits (Survivor Benefits 1). Sadly, this leaves many gay and lesbian couples with an unstable retirement. The most disturbing fact is that even though homosexuals and heterosexual both pay the government for survivor benefits, even people who divorced can even claim survivor benefits whereas a lifelong gay/lesbian partner cannot (Survivor Benefits 1). This is blatant discrimination against people of different sexual o rientation. This is only one example of how the government’s refusal to recognize same-sex marriages denies homosexuals rights that are supposedly protected by the state. The ones who suffer the greatest repercussions of such prejudices are the children of gay and lesbian couples. Non-biological children of gays and lesbians cannot receive survivor benefits if the deceased partner did not legally adopt them. But how is this related to whether or not homosexuals should be allowed to marry? Same-sex couples do have the privilege of adopting children to begin a family of their own. However, they are often rejected because of their unmarried status. Even if the government does not wish to provide some financial security for homosexual couples, it should not punish the children of such relationships. The government directly discriminates against the children of same-sex marriages by not allowing them the same rights as children who have heterosexual parents. Children do not chose who their parents are regardless of your stance on the issue. The Human Rights Campaign has adopted the idea that, “any change must also define survivor to include non-biological children of gays and lesbians found in the changing American family”(Survivor Benefits 2). This is absolu tely necessary because it is absurd that innocent children are being denied basic rights due to the sexual orientation of their parents. Death is a painful enough experience; nobody should not have to worry about their financial standings with the government after dealing with the loss of a loved one, let alone, a child. Survivor Benefits must include same-sex unions not only because it denies homosexuals rights that are regularly afforded to heterosexual couples; but because the children of these relationships are being discriminated against as well.Homosexual’s lack of legal recognition effects them in numerous ways. The argument is much deeper then weather or not they should be married because they live together. If same-sex couples are paying taxes to build roads and help public schools like the heterosexual couples, they should be afforded the same rights. This is the exact argument the gays and lesbians of Vermont are using. In the Baker v. Vermont court case, “gay and lesbian couples had argued t hat they were denied the protection of more than 300 laws as a result of not being allowed to marry” (Meredith 1). Homosexuals are finally suing the state because they are not receiving protectionunder the laws of state strictly because they are gay. In fact, the Vermont House of Representatives voted in favor (76-69) of a same-sex civil union bill. This shows that looking at the matter as a legal issue, it is evident that homosexuals are not regarded equally in the eyes of the law, and that the first steps to fix this social injustice are just now being taken; however, the controversy is still obvious as the vote is very close . The Director of Education for the Human Rights campaign state, “It’s a big step in the right direction…while its no full marriage, it’s very close.” Same-sex civil unions are clearing the path for nation-wide legal recognition of same-sex relationships. These same-sex civil marriages are demonstrating that the concept of “marriage” and the rights an American deserves, regardless of gender, race or sexual orientation, can be simultaneously respected. The fight is for gay and lesbian couples to gain legal recognition, not religious recognition.Even most people against same-sex marriages agree that they do not hate gays they just disagree with their lifestyle be cause of their religious beliefs and church affiliation. The battle to legalize same-sex civil unions is not trying to infringe upon the beliefs of the churches. These unions are to be recognized by the state, not by all churches. Priests do not have to perform these ceremonies, nor do they have to be held in a church. It would be unfair for the government to decide in what people should and should not believe, this would be an infringement upon our right to freedom of religion. However, this does not give the government the right to discriminate against gay and lesbian couples in the eyes of the law because the government and religious beliefs are supposed to be separate. Weather same-sex civil unions should be recognized legally is not a religious question. This is a debate over whether or not people of different sexual orientation are to be viewed equally in the eyes of the government, and will be accepted into mainstream America. However, some people argue that same-sex marriage would be tolerable if they were confinedto their own communities. That way the general public would not be “subjected” to their practices. Gay people are not lepers. We can not isolate a faction of the population and force them to live in designated areas. This idea parallels the concept of moving all the Native Americans onto reservations. Thinking such as this is archaic and regresses back to another closely related idea: segregation. Do people really want to repeat one of the largest social injustices of American history? As established by the segregation trials during the 1960’s and 1970’s, separate but equal is not equal. It creates a division and a difference. The trials that are now finally questioning the treatment of gay and lesbian couples are easily compared to those of inter-racial marriages. One example is the famous case of Loving vs. Virginia. In this case, a white man and black woman were married in Washington D.C., however, their home state of Virginia fused to recognize the marriage and exiled them for twenty years. Later when they took the state of Virginia to court it was decided that they could not be denied the right to live where they pleased due to their inter-racial marriage (Oyez 1). This court decision is arguably one of the strongest forces in nation-wide legal recognition of inter-racial marriages. It is evident that the same-sex civil unions that are now being recognized in Vermont are slowly making the way for other states to join the movement. The Baker vs. Vermont case is a strong reminder of the troubles America once faced. Separate but equal is inherently unequal and unfair. Therefore, it is necessary to set aside religious issues to look at this debate from a legal standpoint. It is necessary that the government recognize the civil unions of same sex couples because all citizens of the United States should be afforded equal rights regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation. It is because of this legal discrimination that homosexuals are denied such rights as hospital visitation, socials security and disability insurances.Discrimination is wrong. The first step in correcting social injustice must be taken soon. The issue of legal marriage between two people of the same- sex must be settled now to stop the discrimination that is openly occurring across America.。

Today, gay marriage is a heatedly discussed topic and the opinions about whether gay marriage should be legal are very controversial. Here are some famous homosexers. such as da Vinc zhangguorong and hanhong and Plato said Only the love between the two men is the most pure love,In America, state after state has joined the nation tide in seekinguphold bans on same -sex marriageOf course ,because of our Chinese tradition culture ,it is very difficult to doe us to accept that homosexual.just imagine this , if one day your roommate says to you,”I think I have fallen in love with you “how would you feelI guess that you must think that gay is crazy .perhaps you will think they have psychological problemsBut many homosexuals are looked down upon , , as a result ,they often sink into serious pain ,sufferings and antinomy. Therefore they may suffer from mental illness , his family doesn't understand him and forces him get married , but they can not build feelings after getting married and often cause family broken lead a tragdy to both family.Do you feel their pain A long time ago , it was man who decidedwhether women should receive education , it was white who decided whether black men should live. Later ,we all think it ridiculous, but now we wants to decide whether gay marriage is legalI think homosexuality is something that we can neither understand nor perform ourselves. But we should be tolerant and understanding . First ,learn to respect them. Every man are created equal. When you see same-gender in campus ,in restaurant, in the park , or in subway, don’t say “OH! SHIT!” They do need respect from the whole world. Second., try to help them. Equality is highly honored by everyone so same-sex couples should have access to the same benefits enjoyed by heterosexual married couples. It is human right to choose what they love, so gay marriage should be legal. That’s all, thank you for your listening!。

同性恋婚姻作文英语
同性恋婚姻作文英语I think love is love, no matter what gender you are. People should have the right to marry whoever they want, regardless of their sexual orientation. It's important for society to recognize and accept same-sex marriage. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and have the same rights, regardless of who they love. Some people argue that marriage should only be between a man and a woman, but I believe that is outdated thinking. Love knows no boundaries and should not be restricted by outdated societal norms.Legalizing same-sex marriage is a step towards creating a more inclusive and accepting society. It sends a message that love is love, no matter who it is between.Same-sex marriage can also have positive effects on mental health. When people are able to openly express theirlove and have it recognized by society, it can lead to increased happiness and well-being.There are still many challenges and discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community, but legalizing same-sex marriage is a step in the right direction towards equality and acceptance. Love is love, and everyone deserves the right to marry the person they love.。

同性恋英语作文Gay Marriage: The Struggle for Equality。
In recent years, the topic of same-sex marriage has become a hotly debated issue around the world. While some countries have legalized gay marriage, others still view it as taboo or even illegal. This has led to a struggle for equality and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community. One argument against gay marriage is that it goes against traditional values and religious beliefs. However, many argue that denying same-sex couples the right to marry is a violation of their human rights. However, when examining the issue from various perspectives, it becomes evident that legalizing same-sex marriage is a matter of equality, human rights, and social progress.Firstly, it is crucial to address the fundamental principle of equality. This article is about a row over plans to let gay couples marry in church.
Nowadays, our society become more open and pluralistic, which lead to a crowd-pleasing situation that many countries around the world can give homosexuals full marriage rights. This can undoubtedly bring light to the gay couples who almost lose hope.
British government plans to let same-sex couples marry in church, which aroused great controversial around whole country. Some organizations, such as The Catholic churches, oppose the move, because this kind of thought contravenes their traditional belief. It guarantees a continuing row.
The main controversial is between the freedom of religious expression and sexual orientation. And the core of the issue is how to balance these two rights. Some people worry that the churches would be forced into a dilemma if same-sex marriages are permitted in church.
Actually, this anxiety is superfluous. The new law will emphasize that no religious organization can be compelled to marry same-sex couples. All those depend on their own willing. If you are interested in it, you can enter a system. Otherwise, a rule has been designed to protect churches that do not support it.
Maybe a same-sex couple has the right to go to the European Court of Human Rights to fight for their right. But the European Convention is ambiguous to this issue. The court does not require governments to let gay couples marry, still less churches. So they can’t win.
We all have religious freedom. So we can’t replace legal oppression of homosexual couples with another.
To sum up, it’s our right to choose our mate, and the same-sex couples should have the freedom to marry in a church if it’s possible.
