一、齐心协力,认真备好每一课。

1.每组第一人负责教案撰写:Welcome to the unit(1课时),Reading(2课时),Word power(1课时),Grammar(2课时), Task(2课时),Project(2课时);课件制作:Welcome to the unit,Reading,Word power,Grammar,Task,Project。

每组第二人负责导学案编写:Reading,Grammar,Project各一份,(8K纸正反面)。

Thoughts on the design:
本板块以教会学生扩充词汇的方法、培养学生学习词汇的兴趣和帮助学生扩大词汇量为教学目标。

在教学实践中,教师应始终将培养学生词汇学习兴趣和方法放在首位,根据中学生的年龄特点和心理特征,设计一系列由易到难、由单一到综合的教学活动,循序渐进地引导学生在轻松愉快又富有挑战性的氛围中,兴趣盎然地获得学习词汇的方法和最大限度地习得本单元的话题词汇。

Teaching aims:
After learning,the students will know more about adventures and their vocabulary about items for holiday can be greatly enlarged. In addition, the students’interest in learning English can be further stimulated.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Greeting
Step 2 Lead-in
T: What day is it today? Today is Friday. Do you know what TV program will be broadcast this evening on Hunan Television?
Yes. It is “Dad, where are we going?” In this TV show, what do the fathers and their children do?
They have an adventure in some places that are new, unusual and challenging. Would you like to have an adventure with your parents? Before we adventure, what preparations should we make? That is, what necessities should we take with us? Let’s see what the fathers and their children do with it.
(Show pictures of the TV program to the class. The pictures include the new words in Part A.
Have students figure out the items according to the pictures and learn the new words. While learning, teacher gives some explanations if necessary.)
Step 3 Vocabulary learning
T: In our book, there is a boy named Colin. Colin is packing for his adventure holiday. He is thinking to himself. Please read the passage on page 26 and figure out what items he has taken, and the reason for taking them. Then, fill in the chart on the screen.
(Have some of the students read and fill in the chart.)
Step 4 Further discussion
T: Do you think Colin has made good preparations for his travels?
If you were his best friend, what suggestions would you give him? What else should he take? (Show a picture, and make students pay attention to the backpack.) T: Look at this picture again, what are on their shoulders? To take the necessities, what we need most is a backpack.
Step 5 Classification
T: It seems that there are so many complex things we should take with us. What if we forget something important? Why not classify them? So here we may divide the items into several groups according to their characteristics.
(Show “emergency goods, articles of everyday use, entertainment, big items and clothes”. Then talk about the words by categories with students.)
Step 6 Summary
T: After we talk about these items, can you make sure what we need during the adventure?
Let’s sum them up.
(Show a list of words and expressions that we have just discussed. Have students read them fluently.)
Step 7 Consolidation
T: Now it’s your turn. Please complete the e-mail using the words and expressions we have just learned.
(Have students do Part C on page 27. Then check the answers together.)
T: Do you still remember what we should put in a first aid kit? Look at activity D, choose the four correct items for taking a first aid kit on Colin’s trip.
(Check the answers together.)
Step 8 Extending knowledge
T: In addition to the items, what else can we take to make our adventure safe and comfortable? (Show the extended words and related pictures to the students.)
Step 9 Homework
1. Review the new words and phrases we have learned in this class.
2. If you were Colin, which item would you remember to pack? Why? Discuss with your partner.。
