Module 6 A trip to the zoo
【教材分析】
本模块以动物为话题,有利于激发学生的学习兴趣。
通过本模块的学习,让学生增强爱护动物、保护自然环境的意识。
本模块共分三个课时进行。
第一单元是一节听说课型的新授课。
作为模块的第一课,它为第二、三单元不仅提供了话题和语境,同时也为学生们后来的语言学习扫清语言和文化的障碍。
在第一单元中,主要内容为托尼和玲玲与动物园解说导游的对话,通过孩子和导游间的的问答为学生介绍了几种动物的习性。
学生的听说活动都是通过动物园游览而展开。
第二单元的主课文是一篇关于动物的介绍性文章。
它加介绍了5种动物,拓展了学生在物种和地理方面的知识。
Unit 1 Does it eat meat?
一、教学目标:
●Knowledge objective
理解Words and phrases: bear, elephant, giraffe, lion, monkey, panda, tiger, zebra, zoo, guide, such as, come from, different, country, other, dangerous, also, plant, look at, tall, sure, bamboo, cute, shall, them, which, over there, funny, call在文中的意思,能正确地进行翻译。
理解Drills: 1) Do they …? Yes, they do. / No, they don’t.
2) Does it …? Yes, it does. / No, it doesn’t.

⏹能听懂介绍动物的对话,并在听力中找出细节信息。
⏹能描写自己喜欢的动物。

掌握制作海报的方法。

通过学习让学生领悟到大自然不仅有人类的存在,而且还要使生养我们的这个地球平衡发展,保护和珍惜野生动物,使我们的家园更美丽和谐。

通过对动物的谈论,激发学生的学习兴趣,让学生对话题进行感知激活学生已有的动物词汇。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Lead-in
教师可以通过一些与动物相关的图片,问学生一些和课文有关的问题,通过对话调动学生学习英语的积极性,活跃课堂气氛,导入新课,使学生进入情景学习。
板书课题。
Step 2 New words
1.示动物的图片,教授单词: tiger, elephant, lion, giraffe, monkey, panda, zebra,bear, animal等,并结合它们的居住地和生活习性,学习plant, bamboo等单词。
注意单词中每个音节的发音和字母组合。
培养学生自主学习词汇的习惯,促使学生迅速进入学习状态。
2. [检查词汇预习]:采取结对、小组互查等形式来检查学生对词汇的预习情况。
Step 3小听力Listening(自主完成,合作释疑)

Step 4大听力Listening
一层听:Listen and answer the questions.

二层听:Listen again and check the true sentences. (学生独立完成后,小组内交流答案。

Step 5 Reading
1. Now read the dialogue after the tape, then read it in groups of four.

Step 6 Consolidation
1)学生自主学习,理解Activity 3的意思,找出不懂的地方。
2)小组内合作解决不懂的地方,再有疑难,小组间共同解决,教师适时点拨。
Step 7 Everyday English
让学生们说说这些句子在文中的意思。
Sure. 当然,相当于Of course 或Certainly.

(一)对重点内容和疑难问题进行合作探究学习。

(2). such as “比如,例如”。

—Yes, let’s go.好的,我们一起去。
“Shall we+动词原形?”“……好吗?”,建议对方与自己一起做某事。
肯定回答常用“Yes, let’s…./OK. / Good idea. / Sure.”等。
如:
—Shall we go and see the monkeys?
—Yes, let’s go.
3. I s there a panda called Tony…? 有叫托尼的熊猫吗?
called+名词“名叫……的”,常用作后置定语,位于所修饰词的后面。
如:The cat called Mimi is cute.
4. They come from many different countries and they eat different food.它们来自不同的国家,并且吃不同的食物。
(1) come from “来自,出身于”, 相当于be from。
如: She comes from America.= She is from America.
(2) different “不同的”,其后接可数名词时要用复数形式,其反义词为same,“相同的,一样的”;其名词形式为difference, 意为“不同”。
如:
There are different flowers in the park. 在公园里有不同的花。
完成句子。
这个动物园里有许多种猴子。

4. 小组自我补充

Step 9 Speaking
1.Explain that this activity focuses on some English phonemes which are difficult to
pronounce for speakers of Chinese.
2.Play the recording once without stopping.
3.Play it again and ask the students to repeat.
4.Practice the sounds in pairs, then finish the exercises on the PPT.
5.Work in pairs. Talk about the animals in Activity 7.
6.Work in pairs. Talk about your favourite animal.

本课主要采用任务型教学方法,通过自主学习、合作学习的方式,借助教学评价手段督促学生,通过网络课件提高课堂教学密度,加大信息量的输入,其模式是教师创设自主学习情境——学生进入情境进行意义建构——学生走出情境实现知识迁移运用——自我评价与反馈。

Task 1 Read Paragragh 1 and 2, answer the questions.

be good at sth. (名词或代词宾格) = do well in doing sth. 表示擅长。

2. Complete the word map, finish Activity4. Then ask the students to talk about an animal you like.

Grammar:
1. 一般现在时第三人称单数作主语的疑问句及其回答
主语是第三人称单数,表示经常性、习惯性的行为,这样表达:
She speaks English.
He lives far away from school.
如果表示不常做某事,该怎样表达呢?
她不说英语。
She doesn’t speak English.
他住地离学校不远。
He doesn’t live far away from school.
2. 行为动词第三人称单数的各种句式:
肯定句:主语+动词的第三人称单数形式
否定句:主语+doesn’t +动词原形
疑问句:Does+主语+动词原形?
肯定回答:Yes, 主语+does.
否定回答:No, 主语+ doesn’t.
3. 当主语是第三人称单数时,谓语动词的形式需做以下变化。
①一般在词尾加-s,如:help — helps
②以s, x, ch, sh 结尾, 加-es,如:wash — washes
③以辅音字母加o结尾,加-es,如:go — goes
④以辅音字母加y结尾,变y为i,加-es,如:study-studies
