My Family and Friends
Introduction
Hello everyone! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. Today I want to tell you all about my family and friends. They are the most important people in my life.
Body 1: My Family
I have a pretty big family with lots of people to love. First, there are my parents - mom and dad. My mom's name is Sarah and she is the most caring person I know. She works as a nurse at the hospital helping sick people feel better. My dad's name is Michael and he is really funny. He always makes me and my brother laugh with his silly jokes and voices. He has a job as an accountant crunching numbers all day.
I also have a little brother named Liam who is 7 years old. Liam can be annoying sometimes when he doesn't leave me alone, but I still love him a lot. We play together all the time -
wrestling, riding bikes, and having epic battles with our action figures and Lego sets. Liam is my best friend.
My grandparents live nearby too, so I get to see them a lot. Grandma Rose always has a warm hug and yummy cookies waiting for me. She used to be a teacher and taught kids like me to read and write. Grandpa Dan is super smart and can fix anything that's broken. He was a mechanic and knows everything about cars and engines. They are the sweetest grandparents ever.
Body 2: My Extended Family
I'm lucky to have a huge extended family as well with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. My aunt Diane is my mom's sister and she has two kids around my age - Jake and Amy. They live in the city but we see them for all the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Jake and I are exactly the same age so we've been best friends since we were babies. Amy is two years younger but she's really cool and we all have a blast together.
My uncle Rob is my dad's brother and he's hilarious. He's always cracking jokes and doing silly dances to make us laugh. Uncle Rob works on a computer all day but he's actually super strong and loves the outdoors. Every summer he takes us
camping and hiking in the mountains. Those are some of my favorite memories.
I also have cousins on my mom's side - twin girls named Lily and Rosa who are a little older than me. They're so much fun and we love having sleepovers and staying up late watching movies together. Their parents are aunt Jenna and uncle Carlos who are both artists and have the most creative, colorful house you've ever seen.
Body 3: My Friends
Outside of my family, I'm also really close with a few awesome friends from school. My absolute best friend is a girl named Sophie. We've known each other since kindergarten and we're inseparable. Sophie and I love telling silly jokes, reading books, and having pretend adventures in our backyards. I can tell her anything and she never judges me. She's the coolest.
I'm also great friends with two boys in my class - Tyler and Mason. Tyler is super into sports like basketball and soccer. He's always trying to get me to join his teams but I'm more of an artist than an athlete! Mason is the class clown and is always doing impressions of our teachers that make us crack up. He has the best sense of humor.
Lastly, there's my friend group of girls - me, Sophie, Ava, Chloe, and Isabelle. We've been friends for years and we're honestly like sisters. We do everything together - sleepovers, movies, mall trips, you name it. We even have yearly traditions like dressing up for Halloween together and big birthday bashes.
I feel so grateful to have such an amazing squad.

As you can see, I have the most wonderful family and friends surrounding me with so much love and laughter every single day. My Best Friend Jenny
My best friend is Jenny. Jenny is a really nice girl and we have been best friends since kindergarten. We are both ten years old now and in the fifth grade at Oakwood Elementary School.
Jenny has long brown hair and pretty green eyes. She is a little taller than me. Jenny always dresses nicely in colorful dresses or skirts. Her favorite colors are pink and purple. Jenny is very fashionable for a ten-year-old!
Even though Jenny cares about her appearance, she isn't stuck up or snobby at all. Jenny is one of the nicest, kindest people I know. She is always smiling and laughing. Jenny never makes fun of anyone and she tries to be friends with everyone in our class. If someone is feeling sad or left out, Jenny goes out of her way to make them feel better.
Jenny is also really smart. She gets good grades, especially in reading and English class. Jenny loves to read and she reads tons of books, even ones way above our grade level. Sometimes, she explains things to me that I don't quite understand. Jenny is so patient when she is teaching me something new. I'm lucky to have such a brilliant friend to help me with my schoolwork.
Jenny is lots of fun to hang out with too. We both love being outdoors and doing active things. We ride our bikes all around the neighborhood. In the summer, we go swimming at the pool every day. We also really enjoy playing sports together like soccer, basketball and tennis. Jenny is a great athlete and very competitive, which pushes me to work harder. I'm a little shy and not as courageous as Jenny, but she gives me confidence to try new activities.
At recess and after school, we use our creativity to come up with fun games and adventures. One day, we might pretend to be explorers trekking through the jungle. The next day, we could be superhero girls fighting evil villains. Jenny is so imaginative and she always makes the games really exciting and entertaining. We even make up dance routines and skits to perform for our families. We have such a blast together!
Jenny and I tell each other everything. We can share our deepest secrets or silliest jokes. Jenny is an awesome listener and she never judges me. I know I can trust her with anything. We support each other no matter what. If one of us is having a bad day or feeling sad, the other one is there to cheer them up with hugs and kind words.
We do have our little disagreements sometimes, because nobody is perfect. Once in a while, we get into a silly argument about something unimportant. But we can never stay mad or upset with each other for long. Pretty soon, we both start laughing about how ridiculous we were being. We say we're sorry and then we make up and go back to being best buds.
Even though Jenny is my best friend, she is also great friends with all the other kids in our class. Unlike some people who just have one best friend, Jenny tries to be nice to everyone. If a new kid comes to our school, Jenny goes out of her way to make them feel welcome. She includes them in games at recess and sits with them at lunch so they won't feel alone. That's just how kind and thoughtful Jenny is.
My best friend Jenny means the world to me. She has been by my side since we were little kids and I can't imagine going through life without her as my buddy. Even though we are still young, I feel so grateful to have a loyal, caring, smart, and
fun-loving friend like Jenny. She makes me want to be a better person.
I look up to Jenny in so many ways. She is such a good role model. Jenny works really hard in school and sets a great example by always doing her homework and participating in
class. But she isn't just smart - she is also very creative, athletic, and she has a big heart. Jenny finds a way to excel in any activity she tries, whether it's spelling bees, art contests, or sports tournaments. I don't know how she manages to do it all!
Most importantly though, Jenny is an incredibly kind human being. She treats everyone with respect, no matter who they are or where they come from. Jenny makes an effort to befriend the kids who are shy, lonely or getting picked on by bullies. She sticks up for what is right and she isn't afraid to tell others when their behavior is wrong. Jenny doesn't just talk about being a good person, she lives it every single day through her compassionate actions.
At the same time, Jenny is still just a kid like the rest of us. She can be goofy and have a crazy silly side. We spend a lot of our free time being total goofballs together - making up jokes, pulling harmless pranks, and doing wacky dances. No matter how silly we act though, Jenny always makes me feel accepted and loved for who I am. I never have to pretend to be someone else around her.
Looking to the future, I know Jenny and I will be lifelong friends. Even if we grow apart for a little while when we are older or move to different places, our bond is so strong that I'm certain
we will find our way back to each other. A friendship like ours is really rare and special. I am truly blessed to have Jenny in my life.
Some people say you are lucky if you can find one great friend in this world. Well, I have already found my great friend and I'm only ten years old. Jenny is kind, smart, talented, funny, loyal, accepting and such a beautiful person inside and out. I can't wait to see what amazing things she will go on to accomplish in her life.
