一.概念
三者或三者以上的人或事物进行比较时,应用最高级。

在含有最高级的句型中,可用of/in短语来引出比较的范围。

形容词最高级前一般要加定冠词the,副词最高级前的the 可以省略.
一、形容词和副词的最高级的词形变化(见单元语法聚焦三)
二、最高级的句型
1.A+be+the+形容词最高级+表示范围的介词词组。

►Dream Clothes is the worst in town. (in后接表示地点或范围的名词)
梦想服装店是镇上最差的。

2.A+动词(+the)+副词最高级+表示范围的介词词组
►He does his work (the) most carefully of the tree. (of后接表示比较范围的复数名词或数词)
这三个人当中，他工作最认真。

三、最高级的常考结构
1.“one of+the+形容词最高级+名词复数”表示“最……的……之一”。

►Mr. Green is one of the most popular teachers in our school.
格林先生是我们学校最受欢迎的老师之一。

2.最高级前可加序数词，表示“第几最……”。

►Mike is the third strongest boy in his class.
迈克是他班里第三强壮的男孩。

3.“Which/Who+is+the+形容词最高级，A,B or C?”或“Which/Who+动词(+the)+副词最高级,A,B or C?”
►－Which is the smallest，the sun，the moon or the earth? 哪个最小，太阳，月亮还是地球?
►－Of course the moon is. 当然是月亮。

[注意]形容词最高级前如有物主代词，指示代词、名词所有格等修饰时，其前不用定冠词the。

►He is my best friend. 他是我最好的朋友。

►This is Zhang Yimou's latest movie. 这是张艺谋最新的电影。

四、比较级和最高级之间的转换
1.Jim is taller than any other student in our class. 吉姆比我们班任何一名学生都高。

Jim is taller than the other students in our class. 吉姆比我们班别的学生都高。

这两句可转换为：
Jim is the tallest student in our class. 吉姆是我们班最高的学生。

2.New York is the largest city in the USA. 纽约是美国最大的城市。

New York is larger than any other city in the USA. 纽约比美国任何别的城市都大。

【注意】当要比较的人或物不在同一个范围内时，不加other。

如：
New York is larger than any city in South Korea. 纽约比韩国的任何一座城市都大。
