《新目标》八年级下册Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!设计人:韶关市田家炳中学叶琳学情分析授课的班级是我校八年级(1)和(2)班,各班人数均为58人,大部分属于城市学生。

八年级的学生平均年龄在14岁左右,这年龄阶段的学生渴望成人化,喜欢从事他们认为能成为成年人的学习活动,并从探索活动中体验到最大的情绪满足。

这两个班的学生都喜欢新鲜事物,喜欢任务型的教学活动,思维也很活跃,乐于表达自己的思想和看法。

求知欲较强,喜欢参加一些探索性活动,学习积极主动,有较强的竞争意识。

在学习活动中能积极发言,主动质疑,不懂就问,有较好的自控能力,并具备了一定的英语基础知识和较好的语言表达能力、合作技巧及自主学习的能力。

但仍有一小部分学生学习的内在动力不足,缺乏自信心和学习毅力,表现在充满乐趣的学习活动中仍然欠积极主动,因此,在教学中努力营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围,关注性格内向和学习有困难的学生,尽可能多地为他们创造语言实践机会。

此外,还须加强情感态度的培养,加强语言技能的训练和学习策略的指导,使学生在教师的指导下更好地建构知识、提高技能、磨砺意志、活跃思维、展现个性、发展心智和拓展视野,提高他们综合语言运用的能力,以保证较高的学习效率和发展自主学习的能力。

教材分析Unit 5的topic是Decision making, 主要任务是Talk about consequences. 让学生掌握以if引导的条件状语从句。

本单元要求掌握的目标语言有I’m going to dance with Karen and Ann. If you do , you’ll have a great time. Are you going to the party? Yes, I am. I’m going to wear my new jeans. You should wear your cool pants.这个单元要求学生掌握的词汇和短语有 jeans, organize, cousin, agent, chance, charity, dream, injured, take away, make a living.本单元是以party为主线,紧密结合学生的生活实际,设置了大量较为真实的情景,让师生在课堂上开展语言交际活动。

通过丰富多彩的语言实践,既掌握了flower, against, chance, tonight等词的用法,又在语言情景中对 if 状语从句主句用将来时,从句用一般现在时进行了充分的操练。

与此同时,我们还要学习许多新词如jeans, organize, agent, lawyer 等。

引导学生用If引导的条件状语从句来谈论事件之间的因果关系,并分析得出处理决定,或给出解决的意见。

从而培养听力,口语交际及逻辑判断的能力。

进一步了解有关国内外一些特殊职业情况,培养协调能力和合作精神,体会学习英语的乐趣,树立远大的目标,并为之不懈地努力。

二、学习者特征分析本单元教材面对的是八年级学生,他们英语上听说读写等技能有一定的基础,能基本上用英语表达简单的句子及意思。

学习本单元之前接触过一些条件状语从句,也提到过主将从现得原则。

加上本单元的单词基本上都是他们学过的。

在前边谈论的话题的基础上进一步的引申,比如谈到规章制度,谈到未来的理想等话题,学生们都很熟悉。

所以在进行本单元的内容时如果能有效地温故而知新就减小了难度。

一.指导思想与理论依据
1. 以“学生为主体、教师为主导”的课堂教学模式,教师的角色应该从“演员”转变为“节目主持人”,把舞台真正还给学生,由学生当演员,唱主角,充分体现学生的主体地位,让学生在动中学、在乐中学,启发学生的思维、培养学生的学习能力和创新意识、提高教育教学质量。

2. 按照课程标准的要求八年级结束时学生应在听说读写方面要达到四级标准,在教学设计时要注意语言能力的培养与积累。

二.教材分析
本单元的语言目标用if引导的条件状语从句来谈论结果。

涉及到了多个话题。

如以不同的方式去参加聚会会出现的各种结果。

举行一次班级聚会会出现的各种结果。

在参加End of Year Party 时如果不遵守聚会规则会出现的各种结果。

加入或不加入专业足球队会出现的各种结果。

成为一名专业运动员或不成为一名专业运动员会出现的结果。

并且延升到了写作训练。

本课时是一般将来时态的延续,具有承前启后的作用。

三.学情分析
作为八年级的学生,首次接触If引导的条件状语从句,在接受上会有一些难度,这就要求教师在引入的时候要多从学生的角度思考。

根据“Talk about consequences”这一语言目标,鼓励学生展开想象,对某一条件下产生的结果进行大胆的判断。

四.教学目标
(一)知识目标:
1.学会34页的新单词(consequence , jeans)。

2.学会have a great time, let in,be sorry短语。

3.句型: if引导的条件状语从句的句型结构。

(二)能力目标:
1.能准确运用If…,…will…句型,恰当运用现在时来表示将来时。

2通过本课的学习,学生能用英语对即将发生的情景进行预测和表述。

(三)情感目标:
本单元Section A 主要围绕“party ”展开话题,贴近学生实际生活,可以提高他
们的学习兴趣,用英语来表达自己的意愿。

五.学习重点和难点
(1)教学重点:掌握If…,…will…句型。

(2)教学难点:正确使用if 引导的条件状语从句;
掌握用If…, ..will….句型来表示将会发生的结果。

六.教学过程
Step 1 warming up(课前5分钟)
首先利用多媒体展示并引领学生唱歌曲If you are happy。

设计意图:让学生在歌声中轻松的进入学习状态, 这样的热身活动可激发学生的学习兴趣,同时也对即将要学习的目标语言有个初步预知。

Step 2.导入新课并出示学习目标lead in and show the learning goals (3mins)
T: If I am happy, I will go swimming. If I am sad, I will eat much food. And I want to
know if you are happy or sad, what will you do? Can you tell me ?
预设学生行为:当老师提出问题时,大部分学生应该能够回答出来,继而,老师
可以自然的引出本课的学习内容。

T: so this lesson let’s learn unit 5, And then let me tell you our learning goals.
设计意图:在step 1 中,通过一首欢快的有关本节课的歌曲if you are happy,引入
新课,并且通过老师的提问,让学生知道自己在本节课中应该达到的目标,有目
的的去学习,提高课堂学习效率。

Step 3. 通过口语练习,感知if条件句的用法(9mins)

设计意图:让学生说自己高兴或悲伤时,会做些什么,这是学生感受最深的,容
易激发学生兴趣。

并对学生进行情感教育。

在无形之中,渗透If…,…will…句型。

2.展示时钟,交通工具等图片,让学生用If….will…句型讨论后果。

老师给出例子:If you walk to school, you’ll be late。

设计意图:这个环节继续加深对If….will…句型的认知,大部分学生能够感知if 条件句的基本用法。

3.Show a girl is doing homework, and the same girl holding a paper with a big A at the top. ask students to repeat the sentence. If you are hard-working, you’ll get A.
设计意图:这个话题贴近学生实际生活。

在学会运用If….will…句型的同时,可以帮助学生树立正确的人生观。

Step 4. 教师点拨if条件句的用法(4mins)
Summarize how to use Adervibal Clause.即If….,will…句型。

得出“主将从现”的规律。

强调主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时态。

And make an example.通过一系列的活动,联系学生的生活实际,让学生体会生活中的英语。

尽量将语法规则简单化,使学生保持学英语的信心。

Step 5. Competition(5mins)
Rule: Use “if…,will…”structure to make up sentences.
设计意图: 该环节的目的是想让学生强化训练If…,will…. 句型或相关延伸拓展句型。

在竞赛中突破难点。

Step 6. Listening practice (10mins)
1a.Guess and Link Look at the pictures, imagine what will happen. Then match them.
设计意图:此环节的目的是让学生在形象化的图片中推测结果,并再一次巩固Adverbial clause。

1b.Listen and Check Listen to the tape and check your answer.
3. Listen and Practice再次听录音,并练习1C Pair work
设计意图: 此环节的目的是再一次领悟If….,will…句型。

同时提高学生听、说方面
的能力。

Step 7. 课堂达标检测.(7mins)
设计意图:让尽量多的学生在课堂上最大限度地掌握基础知识、最大限度地进行
基本技能训练、并要及时反馈达标训练情况,掌握学情,有效地减轻了学生的课
外负担。

Step 8. 课堂小结(5mins)。

回顾本节课的重点话题和重要知识点,用简短的语言阐述if条件句的用法。

让学生们对所学知识形成体系,整理导学案,将新知识内化在自己的头脑中。

在课堂的结束前给学生提出新的问题:
1. what will happen if you play telephone in class?
2. If you smoke in class what will happen?
设计意图:回看本课学习目标,检查是否达标。

将本课内容进行梳理,内化,整理导学案以及笔记,进而提出新的问题,巧妙设疑,激发学生求知欲和学习兴趣,并且能过渡到下节课的内容。

此小结不但是本节的结尾还是下节课的开端。
