班奈特太太（惊奇地）：你是说谁要来呢？我可没有听说有什么客人。
即使有，准会是夏洛特.卢卡斯.。

班奈特先生：我说的客人是一位先生，并不是熟悉的。
班奈特太太（双眼一亮）：哦天啊！是位先生，不太认识！我猜一定是宾利先生。
简，这事你怎么就没漏过一点口风，这个小滑头！要命！今天恰好没有鱼了.。
莉迪亚，快拉铃，乖乖，我必须得现在就吩咐希尔。
亲爱的你怎么不早说，我一定要把晚饭弄得非常丰盛。
班家五女相互私语（杂乱地）：宾利先生要来吗？爸爸怎么不早说？他是来请我们去舞会的吗？简，他是来看你的吗？班奈特先生（得意地）：女士们请静一静！（众人安静）不是宾利先生，是我第一次见的客人。
（众女表示惊讶）这里有一封信，我收到有一个多月了，回信也快有半个月了。
我觉得这封信应该慎重对待。

等我死后，他就要来继承我的遗产，把你们从这屋子里赶出去了。
