基于语义场理论的《牛津高中英语》Word Power板块情境化教学设计摘要:本文首先反思了《牛津高中英语》教材中word power板块的教学现状,并提出了运用语义场理论来设计这一板块的教学;接着在阐述这一理论的基础上,结合教学实例说明了在情景化教学设计中如何激活、体验、巩固和活用语义场,即呈现方式多样化、操练方式语境化、情境体验真实化;最后指出了以语义场理论为基础的情境化教学设计是word power板块教学的一条有效途径。

传统的词汇教学费时耗力,教师一味讲解,学生死记硬背,课堂索然无趣,师生双方皆苦不堪言。

为此,依据新课程标准编写的《牛津高中英语》教材(以下均指该教材),在每个单元的reading板块后专设了一个词汇学习板块——“word power”,旨在从两个方面推动高中英语词汇教学改革:一是通过介绍和本单元话题有关的分类词汇拓展学生词汇积累的量;二是通过介绍英语单词的构词法提高学生词汇学习的质。

然而,目前不少教师对这一板块的教学不够重视,要么把该板块内容作为学生课外自学材料处理,课上仅仅核对答案而已(张烨,2011);要么游离教材,单纯讲解板块中列举的词汇,检测手段单一(吴军,2011)。

究其原因,是部分教师对“word power”板块设计的理论依据缺乏了解,难以找到一种全面、系统的教学思路来发挥这一板块的强大功能。

鉴于此,笔者尝试将语义场理论运用于该板块的教学实践中,力图优化“word power”板块的教学设计,并以此作为突破口来改进高中英语词汇教学。

二、语义场理论1. 语义场的概念场(field)原是物理学的一个术语,特指一个范围。

语言学借用“场”的概念来研究语义,就形成了语义场(semantic field)。
