If the goods are allowed to be transhipped onto another vessel to the destination, the B/L issued under this circumstance is called“ transhipment B/L ”whish is normally marked with the port where the goods are to be transhipped.

1. WHAT IS B/L?
B/L is a document issued by the master of the vessel or by his agent to evidence that goods have been shipped on the vessel and accepted. It is a document that shows details of goods (a consignment) and entitles the receiver (the consignee) to collect the goods on arrival.

The debate regarding the effect of globalization on income distribution in developing countries mirrors the debate on developed countries. Although, all other things being equal, increased openness would be expected to increase the relative wages of unskilled workers in developing countries, experience has been mixed. Evidence suggests that the relative wages of unskilled workers increased in East Asian countries in the 1960s and 1970s but decreased in Latin America in the 1980s and early 1990s. There are two possible explanations for why wages fell in Latin America: first, the opening up of developing Asian countries—Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, and Pakistan—where unskilled labor is even more abundant; second, the availability of new production technologies that are biased toward skilled labor.

The loss is to be borne by all the consignors in proportion to the value of their interest thus saved. (voluntary, deliberate, reasonable) Particular average: A particular consignment is partially damaged. Other consignors do not contribute to the partial recovery of the one suffering his loss. (involuntary, accidental)
