新目标八年级下册Unit 5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!
一、单元教材分析:本单元是以“参加聚会”为话题,展开教学活动。
通过谈论某个推断,学习if以引导的条件状语从句。
通过丰富多彩的语言实践,既学习到很多新词如jeans, organize,let in等.又在语言情景中对 if 状语从句主句用将来时,从句用一般现在时实行了充分的操练。
引导学生用If引导的条件状语从句来谈论事件之间的因果关系,并分析得出处理决定,或给出解决的意见。
从而培养听力,口语交际及逻辑判断的水平。
进一步理解相关国内外一些特殊职业情况,培养协调水平和合作精神,体会学习英语的乐趣,树立远大的目标,并为之不懈地努力。
二、单元教学目标:
语言技能目标
To develop the Ss’ ability of listening,speaking,reading and writing
To train the students how to use their own words to express their ideas
2、语言知识目标
能够熟练的使用First conditional if+ will的句型(if 引导的条件状语从句,其结构为:if +状语从句,+主句)。
要注意在状语从句中有一个规则是“主将从现”,即主句是将来时,则从句要用一般现在时表示将来。

3、情感态度目标
a. 因为本单元话题贴近学生生活,符合他们热爱休闲的心理,能够提升他们学习英语的兴趣,积极参与英语实践活动。
b. 学习因果关系的表达和做出合理的建议。
c. 谈论自己的感受,同时使学生在英语交流中注意并观察他人的情感。
Teaching key points and difficult points
1.教学重点:
A. 句型:If you do, you’ll …. 词汇:jeans, organize,take away,
clean-up, flowers
B. Talking about consequences, especially for a party. What will happen if we hold a party?
2.教学难点:
本课时的难点应为First conditional if +will. Present progressive as future, 即在条件状语从句中,往往用一般现在时来表示一般将来时。

三、说教学过程
(一)情境导入
Ⅰ. 首先,用歌曲If You Are Happy导入新课,让学生在歌声中轻松的进入学习状态,切入学习主题。
并在歌曲中感知一下if 的用法。
导入语:Hello, everyone! Are you happy today? (Yes/No) I’m very happy now. If I’m happy, I will listen to music. Do you want to listen? Now, Let’s listen to If You Are Happy together. 播放音乐
听完歌曲后问:What will you do if you are happy? (If I’m happy, I will…)
Ⅱ. 继续问一些问题进一步感知并使用if条件句,自然进入新课:
①what will you do if you are sad?
②If you have some money, what will you buy?
③If you are late for school , what will happen?
(二)出示课题,让学生明确学习内容。
show some simple before and after pictures and ask students to talk about what they see in the pictures. For example, draw a pair of pictures showing a teenage girl. In the first picture the girl is walking down the
street while other students are getting on a school bus. In the second picture, the girl is walking into a classroom where all the other students are sitting down. A speech bubble above the teacher’s head says, You’re late!
Ask students to talk about the pictures.[T=Teacher’s=Student]
T: What is the girl doing in the first picture.
S1:Walking.
T: That’s correct. She’s walking to school. What are the other students doing?
S2:They’re taking the bus to school.
T: What’s happening in the second picture?
S3:She’s late.
T: That’s correct. The girl is late.
Repeat the activity with another set of pictures. For example, use pictures that show a girl studying at a desk and then the same girl is holding a paper with a big A at the top. Ask students to repeat the sentence, If you study hard, you’ll get an A.and use pictures that a girl is holding an invitation, and the same girl have a great time in a party. Ask students to repeat the sentence. If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time.
承接上一步,老师边说边板书课题:Unit5 If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time! 协助学生理解课题,并点出主句用一般将来时态,if 从句用一般现在时态,切入难点。
(三) 学习新课1a 1b通过谈论图片和听听力材料理解对话学习if条件句,留下直观印象。
Work on 1a
①First,using the target language to talk about the pictures on page34
②Second, ask two students to read the conversation in the speech bubbles in the first picture.
Sa:I think I’m goi ng to go to the party with Karen and Ann.
Sb:If you do, you’ll have a great time.
③Third have students look at 1a.Ask them to match the statements and responses. Check the answers. 1.d 2.a 3.b 4.c
④ Fourth, explain let sb in means let sb come in.
Ⅱ. Work on 1b
This activity provides listening practice using the target language.
T:Listen to the tape. You’ll hear four conversations. Each conversation will give you the matching response for one of the four statements.
Play the recording. Students listen.
(四)当堂训练一 1c Pairwork 巩固使用if条件句结构和用法
This activity provides guided speaking and listening practice using the target language.
First ask students to look at the pictures and then make conversations.
Then have two students read the sample dialogue.
Sa:I th ink I’m going to stay at home.
Sb:If you do, you’ll be sorry.
T: Work with your partner, please. Make a conversation using the things that are happening in the pictures.
At the end ask one or two pairs of students to say their conversations to the class.
(五)当堂训练二拓展巩固 if条件句结构和用法
①给出话题 (get up late; eat too much; help others; watch too much TV; get enough exercise)
②给出例子:
例如:A: I think I’m going to ...
B: If you …, you’ll …
③两人一组用所给话题编对话。
④表演对话。
(老师在黑板上板书学生所表达出的if条件句)
(六)深入巩固
Work on 2a 2b using the target language to talk about how to organize a party .总结归纳突破难点。
让学生观察黑板上的句子并总结出if条件句中,主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时态。
(七) Follow up Make sentences:
10 students in one group, you have to make sentences with the basic sentence as much as possible, the one who can make the most sentences, who will be the winner.
(八)Homework 以对话的形式决定组织一次班会,写在作业本上。
通过作业,从根本上理解每一位学生的缺乏之处,为下一节课的教学提供一个方向。
四、板书设计:

① If I get up late,I will be late for school.
② If I get enough exercise, I will be healthy. 从句(一般现在时态)主句(一般将来时态)
