Coaching Powerful Question

Powerful, thought-provoking questions can help a client to think outside the box, discover new territory, jump-start creativity and evoke a response from the heart. Keep the question short and to the point using less than 10 words.
If you are a new coach and feel stressed thinking about the “right question”, relax and focus on “being” with the client instead of “doing” (trying to perform).Stay curious and if you can’t think of a question, just remember two words….. “Tell me”… and“Tell me more about that…”
A list of ten powerful questions to add to your tool box:
1. What outcome do you want?
2. What do you need to say no to?
3. What areas of your life could be upgraded?
4. What are you tolerating? (putting up with)
5. So, what’s next?
6. What do you want MORE of ? (Make a list)
7. What do you want LESS of ? (Make a list)
8. What frightens you about ____?
9. How does the action support your core values?
10. Where do you feel God is leading? (my favorite)
And be ready for silence.. a powerful question is thought-provoking. Allow the client to process and remember, the answer is for the client to discover, not for you to hear.
