本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期，围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动，使学生掌握日期的表达法，正确使用 when 引导的特殊疑问句对日期进行询问。
在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成，学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词，对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛，教师要引导学生运用对比的方法，找出构成规律，总结特殊变化，对比强化记忆。
课时教学目标1.通过一定的练习，学生能够掌握1-31的序数词的拼写,构成及用法。
2.通过听录音和做相关的练习，学生能够模仿本课时的小对话和同伴之间进行对话练习,巩固所学的知识。
3.通过听力训练,学生两人一组通过合作以角色扮演的方式,询问他人的生日进一步练习和巩固语言点,提高学生运用英语的能力。
