原因 采石粉尘危及遗址 目前周口店遗址出现如此的病害状况,中科
院专家认为,原因是多方面的:首先是地震、爆破 和火车震动的影响,这些震动有可能造成岩石从较 陡的斜坡滑落,产生塌方。遗址旁边采石厂的爆破 作业,对遗址保护非常不利,而周围水泥厂的粉尘 容易形成酸雨,侵蚀岩石。还有不远处一条铁路, 过往列车产生的震动也不可小看。其次,考古挖掘 中操作不当、过量的开发,使得坡度过大或者洞顶 过薄,致使洞顶塌方、斜坡滑落。再次就是物理风 化作用和环境污染的影响,长期的日晒雨淋以及粉 尘形成的酸雨对岩石造成腐蚀,容易脱落。另外, 岩石在沉淀和构造过程中,自然切割形成大小块状, 这些块状体可能产生滑移、塌方、掉块等现象。
